Does the warranty for the iPod nano 7 cover a washing machine accident?

About a week ago, I left my almost new ipod nano 7 in one of my jeans pockets. My sister thought the jeans were dirty and did not hesitate or check the pockets before throwing them in the washing machine. I later got a call from her that she had found my new ipod in the washer (DUH) and it would not turn on. I tried everything and finally realized it was not salvageable. I was wondering if the one-year warranty cover accidents such as this. Please help!

The limited warranty doesn't. AppleCare+ does but must have been bought prior to the accident.

What is the warranty on an iPod Touch?  Is a cracked screen covered?

Cracked screens aren't cover by warranty sadly. That's why you need apple insurance to cover these devices. I've been through 4 iPhone 4's haha.

  • How long is the warranty for the Zen Mic

Can anyone tell me how long the warranty is for the Zen Micro? Thanks!

    SSR,
The year/90 days warranty is our standard for PDE devices to my knowledge. It does happen to be the warranty in the US; however some countries have laws requiring different warranty lengths. We don't do any warranties on current PDE products that are less than this to my knowledge.

  • Evenutually received the packaging for recalled ipod nano 1st Gen

Well after submitting a request to return the ipod nano 1st gen on the 13th November 2011 and waiting all this time, I eventually received the packaging today!
I have been on the phone 3 times with Apple since then and this Wednesday decided to ring them again and the woman who I spoke to submitted a brand new request, as she said that I should have had the packaging well before now.  She then said with submitting a new request that I would receive the packaging within 48 hours, which I have .  I have just been to the post office (I live in the UK) and sent it off.  It was so simple.  There was a padded envelope and a plastic envelope and all you had to do was post the nano (nothing else) in the padded evelope, seal it, then put it in the plastic evelope and seal that.  You had to check the senders address (My address) was correct on the front of the plastic envelope, which was just printed up from the address that it was going to.  Then just take it to the post office and had it in and then they give you a receipt for it.
So now it's just waiting for the Nano 6th generation to be sent to me, which I was told I would be getting .
So if anyone has still not received their packaging, ring them up and submit a brand new request, if you have been waiting as long as I have and you should get the packaging quickly.  They must have ran out of the boxes that they were originally sending to put the nano in.

    Hi Addicbaddic,
Here is a link to the Apple page that shows all of the iPod Nano generations. You will be able to see which one is yours and compare it to the 5th gen....

  • Whats the warranty for an Apple polyurethane cover?

I bought a polyurethane smart case and I want to know whats the warranty.

So I came across this article today
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn469410.aspx
At the very bottom of the page looks for this section:
Expired Certificates for Mobile Device Apps
States that if you use the same Apple ID to generate a new certificate that devices do not need to be re-enrolled.  Now its vague enough that it
could be interpreted as the above applies as long as you do it before expiry, but thats not how I read it.
Anyone from Microsoft available to clarify this?
    Thanks!

  • Ipod nano in a washing machine

is there any hope for a 6th generation nano that went through the wash machine??

Oh boy. Check this article (check the rice method, i've heard it works [sometimes]) for help! If doesn't work, then try rapping the ipod in a towel and letting it set in sun all day!

  • How long is the warranty for the ipod?

The standard warranty is 12 months: Apple One-Year Limited Warranty

  • I had an ipod nano its earphones are not working.. a few months back my ipod broke and i purchased a new ipod touch but its earphones died too so i got them replaced. is it possible to replace my earphones of ipod nano with the warranty on my ipod touch ?

can i claim the warranty of another earphone on one ipod i.e. getting two earphones on the same warranty serial number...

Because the warranty for your iPod touch does not cover manufacturing defects with your iPod Nano.  You are talking about and dealing with two seperate products.

  • Warranty for the battery

    Hi,
I would like to know how many years is the warranty for the battery for a macbook.
    thanks.

The battery warranty is the same as the computer's - one year after purchase or three years if you bought the AppleCare Extended Warranty. Exceptions would be specifically battery models for which Apple has extended the warranty.
If you have a problem with your battery then call AppleCare or take the computer in to a local Apple retailer.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

I bought a USB power adapter for my ipod nano so i can take it camping and use an outlet. Will this take less time for charging or the same amount as the computer?

    Hi, Atcandela.
I've a Macally external fire/usb enclosure that powers up and mounts directly on to my PB Aluminum 1.67 laptop but the USB portion doesn't draw power.
Do you mean it mounts and works OK when connected via FireWire, but not when connected via USB? If so, that's unsurprising. I would be surprised to hear that it doesn't mount when you use the FireWire connnection, because most drives are able to get enough power from that port.
Does MacAlly not offer a cable for your drive that allows it to draw power from both your USB ports? Some manufacturers of external drives or enclosures do offer such a cable, and it's well worth buying because it's much smaller and more portable than an AC adapter. Have a look at this one from Western Digital — it might fill the bill for you.
