  • Does the warranty cover a cracked screen?

My I phone 5 screen is cracked and I have 6 months warranty still does this cover it?

No. when the screen was cracked that voided the warranty so you no longer have one.

  • Does the insurance cover broken or cracked screens?

I dropped my ipod only once and it cracked big time, does the insurance cover my cracked screen. If not what do I do?

A bit of info from my experience.
I have a 64GB iTouch 4th gen and had a violent drop about 5 months ago, which cracked the screen on the bottom corner. Fortunately the touchscreen still worked and the crack ran across the screen. I bought the iTouch off eBay refurbished so I naturally assummed it was not under warranty or it was void. I was meaning to replace the screen myself or get an expensive repair job done but just procrastinated since it was still working. Fast forward to Nov 2, 2011 a friend noticed it was cracked and wonder why I havent repaired it, I told him the story and he said to check if it was still under warranty online. We ran the serial number and to my crazy luck it was still under warranty until Nov 3, 2011! One day left!
I immediately made an appointment and went into the local Apple Store on Nov 3rd. Told them the story and they replaced it with a brand new one. Was really impressed that they replaced it without me bugging them or complaining about the cracked screen. Definitely made me a believer that they really do their best to retain loyal customers. I ended up buying the additional year warranty for the new iTouch they gave, it was a no brainer.
My suggestion would be to go online and check the serial number if it is still under warranty. If not than you'll have to fork the cash on your own for the repair job. Hopefully my luck passes to you.
    Good luck.

  • Does the warranty cover cracked screens?

Does the warranty cover cracked screens? I dropped it by accident?

SantannaF, just what are you saying?
    - The warranty that covmes with the iPod does not cover a broken screen.
    - When this post was written, there wan an extented warranty, AppleCare that yo could purchase the increased the waranry period from one year to two years. It still did not cover accidental damage like a broken screen.
    - Now, Apple offers for a price, AppleCare+. That covers replacment for a broken screen for a fee of $29
extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPod and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a $29 service fee plus applicable tax.1

.. Does the warranty cover the screen? Mine cracked.. My iPod's 4th generation.

No. But sometimes if you make an appointment at the Genius bar of an Apple store they will replace your iPod at no cost.. Otherwise the exchange price is $99, $149, or $199 depending upon the capacity.

  • Hello, my MacBook just fell on the floor and there is a massive smash on the rear aluminum part. Is it fixable? Does the warranty cover this type of damage? If not, how much would it cost me to get it fixed?

PS: I bought it on the USA, but currently living in Brazil . I guess though there is a apple store in the shopping mall.

Accidental damage is not covered by warranty. As to cost to fix, we can not say as we do not know what internal/external components were damaged. Take the computer to an authorized repair center for assessment and estimate to repair.

Does the warranty cover damage on your iPad?

Apple's Limited Warranty http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/ for iPad excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications.

  • HT1349 Does the warranty cover external damage?

I've had my Iphone for less than a week and I have just dropped it and the screen has smashed.
    Does the warranty cover it?

If you purchased AppleCare+ coverage when you purchased your iPhone, your accidental damage would be covered for the cost of the "deductable" ($49 in the US). If you did not purchase AppleCare+, then as Kappy said you will have to pay for replacement.

  • Why does the keyboard cover text fields ios 8

Why does the keyboard cover text fields in safari in ios 8 in safari?  I've never had this problem before, but now when a text field is near the bottom of the page, I can't move it above the keyboard.  If there any fix? This is extremely annoying and renders filling in text on many web pages impossible.

This solved it for me. I only needed to split it once before it was fixed (but shouldn't have had to do it at all). Thanks, chuck9999, you're my hero!

Re: Why does the keyboard cover text fields ios 8in response to TeraBI had the exact same problem on my iPad Air and it's working fine now. Try toggling your keyboard a few times between split and regular using the keyboard key in the lower right corner.  I also then docked the keyboard a few times.  The turned-off/rebooted the iPad and it's worked fine ever since.  I stumbled upon the fix reading another post, and it did work although not sure why.  My guess is toggling the keyboard and rebooting updated something in the "registry".

  • Does the retina display help your eyes when on the computer?

Does the retina display help your eyes when on the computer for a long period of time? Does it make a difference if you have eye problems?

First, I'd suggest posting your question on the MacBook Pro forum. This is the Mac Pro forum, where the computers start at 50 pounds and go up from there (at least so far).
Second, I think it depends on what your eye problems are. I can say that there's a lot less reflection off the screen than the standard MacBook Pro glossy screen; it's similar to the anti-glare screens that you can find on other Mac laptops. The Retina display also has the ability to present a much crisper image with compatible software.

  • Does the aluminum cover on my MBP protect me from radiation from the workings of the computer itself?

Does the aluminum cover on my MBP protect me from radiation from the workings of the computer itself [not the radiation from the screen] ?

To be sold in the US, computer and other consumer equipment must pass stringent standards for Electro-Magnetic radiation, Radio Frequency radiation, and other radiation. If it does not pass when initially tested, it cannot be released, but must be re-designed and re-tested before it can be sold.
The testing requires a radiation-free room and extremely expensive test gear, a trained operator, and is done according to strict standards. All of this makes the testing quite expensive.

  • How does the field ABGRU-Reason for Rejection get populated in routines

    Hi All,
How does the field ABGRU-Reason for Rejection get populated in routines(VOFM)?
BELNR,KPOSN,etc...fields are populated through KOMK and KOMP structures, similar way what structure is used for ABGRU?
by the time the control from VA01 comes to routine the values of VBAK and VBAP are cleared, so these structures like KOMP and KOMK are used.
    Thanks in advance.

You need to add rejection reason field ABGRU as a new field to pricing field catalog (KOMG structure) through APPEND structure KOMPAZ. KOMG inherits new fields from KOMKAZ (for header level fields) or KOMPAZ (for item level fields) structures and it is not directly modified but through KOMKAZ and KOMPAZ structures
Since VBAP-ABGRU can vary from item to item, add it to item pricing communication structure KOMPAZ in SE11. Once KOMPAZ is added with new ABGRU field and activated it will automatically appear in pricing field catalog (KOMG)
Afterwards the ABGRU field will then start to appear in the field catalog where you can create condition table (V/03) including the ABGRU as a field. Once done the rest is assigning the condition table to access sequence which is in turn assigned to the relevant condition type that you want to price based on partner function (all under IMG -> SD -> Basic functions -> Pricing -> Pricing control)
In the pricing user exit userexit_pricing_prepare_tkomp in include MV45AFZZ, you will need a few lines of coding to fetch VBAP-ABGRU for the item and pass it to tkomp-abrug field. This will then be used by system to read the new condition table that you created.
    tkomp-abgru= xvbap-abgru
So if you populate special pricing based on ABGRU (with possibly other conditions) in the condition table then that condition record will be read for the corresponding condition type.
You would of course need a developer to modify KOMPAZ structure and code the user exit for moving the rejection reason to tkomp
That is in short how you can achieve this

  • Does the warranty cover loss/stolen ipod touch?

we think my son's ipod that he just got for Christmas was stolen/lost yesterday, does the warranty cover this?  Is there a way to track it or see if someone's using it?  He is devastated.

    Not covered by warranty.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

  • I have a crack in my rear-facing camera does the warranty cover this repair? It's about 5 months old.

I have a crack in my rear-facing camera does the warranty cover this repair? It's about 5 months old.

If it was caused by a defect thenyes.  If caused by accidental damage like dropping then likely not. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and find out.
If it is only a cosment defect, the warranty does not cover it.
