Does the xhttprequest object work in iBooks?

Question

I created very simple Custom Widget in Dashcode that uses xhttprequest to grab an xml file on my website and displayed the contents in a text field. It works when I run it as a dashboard but when I drop the widget in the iBooks author, it doesn't complain about the widget but when I run it, it just doesn't work. Anyone?

You'll find everything you need about JSONP here.
If you're making an ajax call on http://www.francisthomas.fr/jsonp.php for example, jquery will append in the querystring : ?jsonp_callback=jQuery171002402425314941925_1327394323912
Then, on the server, you need to use this callback when outputting the json :
echo $_GET['jsonp_callback'] . '(' . $json . ');';
which produce :
jQuery171002402425314941925_1327394323912({"result":"Ca marche"});
