Does there is any restrictions of Cross Charg processing on Capital Project

Hello Experts,
Can you please help me in understanding about the restrictions of cross charging on CAPITAL CLASS of Oracle Projects?
If yes then can you please let me know the restrictions / exceptions.?

We have a situation where all our capital projects are in US but employees OTL timecards entered for those projects going into OU/LE where emp belongs (Example- UK employee timecard imported in UK OU for the work he did for US capital project). Beause the cost for the labor transactions must be processed in the OU in which the project resides, labor hrs entered in UK is not picked by costing process. How to resolve this? We really don't use cross presently and don't want to use in future for capital projects? Is any way we can transfer approved expenditure batch to US?

Hi, i work in a large gps tracking company.
We are rebuilding our software and looking into msmq to storage the coordinates to be processed.
The problem is, each tracker unit need to be isolated in on queue and we have 500k+ trackers online, so, we need tons of queues.
Im worried about performance.
Does msmq has any restriction on max quantity of queues?
How much memory each queue consume when they are idle and when have connections? (beanstalk +/- 300bytes, rabbitmq 30kb,...)
There is any way to use msmq in cluster?
Didnt found anything on msdn about this.

By default value is 4MB for each queue and 1GB for the entire queue. The queue quota can be changed using MQSetQueueProperties()
with PropId PROPID_Q_QUOTA

If there is any restriction for procedure input parameter

Hello expert,
I create a oracle precedure, with a input parameter, but when I used this procedure in SAP BO, it showed following error message:
" a database error occured. the database error text is : cannot parse the stored procedure query: unable to parse stored procedure specification . (WIS 10901)"
I found if I input a value for this parameter including '&', above error displayed.
so , will you please tell me if there is any restriction for procedure input parameter?

Such a message will have an ORA error code (or PLS code). Neither can stored procedures be executed as queries. They need to be executed via anonymous PL/SQL code blocks.
So from the sounds of it, the problem in your case is that the PL/SQL procedure call is incorrectly made.
Calling a PL/SQL procedure needs 2 basic things:
- make the call code using an anonymous PL/SQL code block
- use bind variables for passing input and output parameters

If you are talking about an iTunes API in which you could make an app similar to a Twitter client for Twitter, there is no such thing. If you are talking about the iPhone SDK to make an App which appears in the iTunes store, you can download Xcode in the Mac App Store or at http://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

looks like there is no course which focus on Visual Composer. Though there are some portal training courses that include the Visual Composer (e.g. <a href="ttps://service.education.sap.com/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/bc/bsp/sap/hcm_learning/trainingtype.htm?sap-params=b3R5cGU9RCZvYmppZD03MDAwNzU5MQ%3d%3d">EP120</a>) which are offered in Denmark .
But Marcel is right you will probably find a lot more material on SDN, SAP Library, Service Marketplace, and the VC Wiki. Have a look into Judy's blog <a href="/people/judy.kestecher/blog/2006/07/11/visual-composer-finding-the-documentation Composer: Finding the Documentation</a>. This will help you to get an overview of the material available.

Projects Cross-charge functionality Vs Inter-project Billing

We are currently evaluating the funtionalities of Project Cross Charge Vs Inter-project billing. Our setup is such that we have 3 Legal Entities, 3 Business groups, 3 SOB's and 3 operating units, each tied to their own legal entity, Business group and Set of Bools. When reviewing the documentation, it looks like the Cross charge functionality does not support operating units that are in two different business groups. Does that imply that we have use the Inter-project billing to charge projects across operating units.
We will really appeciate, if one can provide some additional insight in this regard.

It is possible to have cross charge across the Business groups. It is also mentioned in Oracle Projects fundamentals guide. Please refer to the Global Project Support Chapter. Below is the extract from it.
Providing Data Access Across Business Groups
Global enterprises have resources and projects that are located, managed, and accounted
for in different business groups or different countries. To meet the needs of these
enterprises, Oracle Projects provides the following functionality:
• Globally located resources can charge their time and expenses to projects that are
owned outside their respective business groups.
• Resources can manage and administer projects located in different business groups.
• Oracle Projects produces appropriate accounting entries, intercompany invoices, and
management reports even if the resource organization and project owning
organization have different accounting calendars and job definitions.
This functionality is provided through the use of global organization hierarchies, global
jobs, and cross charge functionality.

Does there be any change in the dimensions of the project when published in a web browser ?

Hello all.
I am facing a problem with the dimensions of my project. I need my published project in the web browser must fit in the window without any scrolling.
I started my project with the dimensions 1024*540. when I tested it at the initial stage it was exactly fitted in the window. But after adding the content & images, the published file is getting opened with scrolling.
The actual space for the project in the browser is 1024*577.
As the default playbar's height is 32px, I took the project as 1024*545. Even then I got a bit vertical scrolling. So I changed the dimensions to 1024*540.
I use Mozilla Firefox as my default browser.
When I open the file in the Internet explorer it is getting opened only with horizontal scrolling.
Can anyone give the solution & let me know what exactly the problem is?

I assume you want the project to capitalize assets on the owning organization SOB.
The costs incurred by other OU should not generate assets for the provider OU, only internal revenue or cost recover.
You may consider the inter project billing functionality where the receiver project is the capital project, while other OU are charging a provider project. The provider project will bill the capital project.

Is there any restriction using pl/sql packages depending on Oracle Version?

Hi everybody. Our company is using a mix of pl/sql packages to call web services and process xml inside stored procedures. We are using UTL_HTTP, UTL_DBWS and UTL_XML. Our client asks if there is any restriction using those packages on a Standard One licensed database? Does we need an upgrade p.e. enterprise edition to use those packages? I test all our development on a Express Edition, and there is no restriction. We run the same test on a Standard One and Enterprise Editions and the result was the same, no restrictions.
To use those packages does we need an upgrade to enterprise edition?

For example how old could that value be? Are very old messages discarded?
Or what happens if a message arrives which has the same timestamp as a previous one that is still on the service bus?

I expect that this distinction is caused by the Event Hub retention policy. Our job may be failing because because the start time falls below the Event Hub retention window, and we do not support that scenario...
I am afraid I would still recommend putting the data into a blob for back-testing --- you can use the same query and everything!
Or, of course, adjust the dates in your sample data...

I am a designer and I wanted to know if there were any restrictions in the Photoshop CS4 Extended version concerning font usage? I have read all the terms but I got confused after awhile. I wanted to make sure there are no restricted usage if I use any of the fonts incorporated into my designs which are then resold? Thank you in advance!

Cannot modify application: [dimension] does not have any members

Hi experts,
When I try to add a newly created dimension to an application, I get the error message: "[dimension] does not have any members. Validate and process members first".
I have indeed added members to the dimension and saved to the server and processed. However, I guess that the processing does not work as it should because when I process the dimension, it only goes further than "Progress (1/4)", followed by the message "The task has been successfully completed".
I would expect it to go up to "Progress (4/4)....
The backward compatibility pack has been installed.
Any suggestions?

- Version is 7 SP4 for Microsoft
- It's a customer install
- Same behavior in Apshell. I can "process" the dimension in Apshell but I don't think it really processes it. It still stops at step 1/4 even at Apshell
- When I add the dimension to an application, it says that the dimension does not contain any members, even in ApShell.
So to summarize: the behavior is the same in Apshell.
Can I look into any logs to see exactly what happens?

Make sure that it is connected to a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 1.1 as 1.1 will not provide power for connectivity.
Try it in a different USB port and see if it works

There is a hardware problem. Whether it's worth it to you to have no working phone for 2 months until you can update vs paying for replacement/repair now is a question only you can answer.
