Does these router support VPN

Hi,
I would like to setup VPN between our HQ and users thru internet. The router in the HQ is 827 4v (12.2(3)). Is it possible to setup a VPN on this router?
What should i need the minimum requirement of router specs to achieve the above mentioned goal? My intention is to run a citrix published application from anywhere.
Thanks for your advises

Hi,
Below is the link that explains the set up.

  • Does a Router support 2 BGP As in one router

Does a Router support 2 BGP As in one router. I have gone through the below Cisco page, however my router is not allowing to enter the second AS in the router, it is giving the error as usual " BGP is already running; AS is XX" .
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/12_2s/feature/guide/fsbgpdas.html#wp1056689
    My Router :- Cisco 3845
    IOS Version :- c3845-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T8.bin

    Hi,
You can not run multiple BGP processes on a single router with each of them being in a separate AS. What you can do, and the link in your post explains that, is that towards a particular eBGP neighbor, you can use the neighbor local-as command to appear to be in a different AS than the one you really are in. So you do not start two BGP processes, you just make your single BGP process to appear to use a different ASN on a particular eBGP peering.

    "reject-with=tcp-reset"
im wondering if i can do it on cisco router
    waiting ur responce

One of the things that keeps me engaged with these forums is that they challenge me and give me opportunities to learn new things. My initial reaction to your question about IPS on IOS router was to say that this is not supported. But I did some research and find that apparently IPS functionality is now supported on some (but not all) of Cisco IOS routers. See this link for additional detail:

  • What Home Router Supports VPN Endpoints for the iPod Touch?

    Hello,
I'm trying to figure out what VPN Endpoints I can use for remote access to my home network. I'd prefer a hardware VPN router like a Linksys BEFSX41, or a D-Link DIR-330. I'd prefer something like the DLink since it supports local area wireless as well.
I want to know if anyone has used any of this equipment, and how well it worked. There seems to be surprisingly little info on getting VPN to the home, let alone the iPod.
Can anyone recommend a router which will perform as a VPN end point for me?
    UHF.

You might be facing the problem, because the Ipod and your Desktop computer must be having the same IP address thats the reason whenever your IPod is connected to your Network, your Desktop must be getting disconnected. Check the IP address of your IPOD and of your Desktop Computer.
First thing which you need to check, if the Physical connections are done properly. Connect the Modem to the Internet Port of the Linksys Router and then Connect the computer to the LAN Port No.1. On your Desktop computer login to the setup page of your Router and click on the Status tab and check "Internet IP address"
If required you can Re-Set your Router and Re-configure all the settings on your Router from the scratch.

  • Does Extreme router support 3G dongles, since it has a USB port?

I have an Airtel 3G dongle and was wondering if I could use the USB port on the Apple Extreme router to make it work as a router that can broadcast 3G signals.

A dedicated mobile broadband router, as suggested by edex67, is a good idea. There are models from several manufacturers. Before you buy, ensure that the exact USB mobile broadband modem and the network operator are supported. Just as an example, the web page belows claims support for some Airtel modems:

  • Does IOS 8 support vpn on demand rules of earlier versions(io5,ios6)

I know the vpn demand rules changed from ios7 ,how ever i have read that apple might still support the earlier rules set.
did io8 stopped supporting the demand rules of older versions ?

Did you ever find a solution for the issue you described here? I have been struggling with this same problem since iOS 8 was released. All subsequent updates to iOS still have not resolved it... any help is much appreciated!

  • Does Huawei router NE40 support Class-Based QoS?

As I know Class-based QoS defines traffic classifiers based on certain rules and associates traffic classifiers with certain traffic behaviors, forming certain traffic policies. After
these policies are applied to interfaces, class-based traffic policing, traffic shaping, congestion management, and precedence re-marking are implemented.
Does Huawei router NE40 support Class-Based QoS?

The NE80E/40E supports DiffServ and provides standard forwarding services such as EF and AF for users by using the following traffic management measures:
    1 Traffic classification
    2 Traffic policing
    3 Traffic shaping
    4 Congestion avoidance
QoS of the NE80E/40E supports traffic policy with the above measures and mapping between the QoS fields in the IP header and the MPLS header.

    Vinay Kumar.

Thanks Vinay, glad you got it working. We were having some issues and its related to the level of rollup and whether certain headers are allowed through exchange or not.
However MS's answer is that it does not work.
    Confusing eh.

  • Does Firefox OS support the use of VPN's?

Simple question, does Firefox OS support the use of VPN's? If not is it a feature that will be added? And if so, when?

Thank you for your interest and for purchasing a device! The bug reported has went through some employees. I'm sure that we'll get something done shortly.

  • Does sge 2010 support Routing Information Protocol (RIP) ?

Hi, I would like to know if the sge2010 switch support Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and if so how do I enable it. I have a small wireless router that support it and would like client connected on it te bo visible from the wan side and that worked when I had another device doing the routing with RIP support the wireless router was picking up that information and the routing for the wireless client was working.
    Thanks !

thanks, thats a shame that a 80$ wireless router support that function and a 1000$+ switch doesn't

  • Does Stratus/RTMFP support P2P behind the same NAT/Router?

Does Stratus/RTMFP support peers behind the same NAT/Router?
(such that both peers have the same public IP address)
    That is: if two computers (each running Flash) are behind the same NAT, and connect to Stratus to get peerID;
do we expect they can connect p2p?
Or will each one get/see just the public IP address:port of the other?
My initial tests indicate that this scenario fails [ICMP Destination Unreachable (port unreachable)]
Is this just a limitation of my local router? does this work for others?
Does Status expect the local router to detect/decode/resolve this situation?
If the solution requires 10.1 groups, is there support to detect/diagnose when/if the peer is on the same LAN?

Thanks for the info, sounds like RTMFP supports this, and hopefully the AFP code does the right thing.
[so, officially, the original question is answered]
Note: In one instance, i'm running two browsers on the same host,
so even the inner/LAN addresses would be the same. Therefore, if A sends to B's inner/LAN address,
the [Windows] OS network layer *should* recognize that and 'hairpin' without leaving the host, or crossing the firewall.
(I say "should" because Unix generally does that, but I'll have to check to see about Windoze).
[And such packets are probably invisible to Wireshark also, so how do i verify what's happening?
oh sure, just reconfigure to boot Linux... ]
So glad you explained that the client tries all three pathways; if it works as you say,
then I can probably ignore the ICMP error from the local router (or, as you say, teach it to do the hairpin).
Can you confirm that P2P will work between browsers (say Chrome to Firefox) on a single Windows host?
    [I really want to know if I'm failing because of network configuration or application code/error;
at this point, I am able to correctly exchange the peerIds, and start the NetSteam.play,
but the two sides do not appear to be exchanging audio/video]

  • Does Airport Extreme support Static Routes?

I have client using an Airport Extreme as their Router. They currently connect to another device outside their network using AppleTalk.
It is planned to put this device onto TCP/IP but on a different subnet (e.g. their subnet is 192.168.5.X and the device will be on say 192.168.25.X). Does Airport Extreme support (like other Routers) the ability to set up a static link to a device on a different subnet (can’t find any information in a doco or the utility) or do they need to replace this with a “real“ router?

Sure, I could do something like route add -net 10.100.10 192.168.0.100 on every client machine on the subnet, but there is no such way to configure a web cam and similiar devices
    Any idea, Apple?

  • Does MMX400R wifi pocket router support for iPad?

I'm using iPad wifi module.  I'm planning to purchase MicroMax pocket router 400R. I just want to know the pocket router will support iPad.

no i don't think it does wps. but i think you can still configure the wireless router with the ipad. if you connect to it, just type in the gateway address into safari, logon, and configure
    uncle_tungsten wrote:
Sorry, I left out an assumption.  The router has not been configured; there is no configured SSIS, username, or password.  The wireless router requires an Ethernet connection be made with a PC, to connect to the IP address of the router and configure it.
In my case, I want to configure without using a PC.  The router supports the WPS protocol which does not require configuring the SSIS,username, password.  My question was whether the iPad supports that protocol.  Then, I should be able to enable WPS and click the WPS start button on the router.  The iPad should then connect.
