Does this happen to you?

I have an iphone, an ipod touch, and ipod classic 180gb and an ipod 5th generation video. I have to close itunes if I am to connect any of my devices after having just synced one of the others. If I sync a device and eject it then dock another device itunes freezes. This was the case before itunes 9 and remains the case now that I am on itunes 9. Is there a solution?

You can create a new user account and check things there.
It may also be helpful to reset NVRAM.

Yes, I saw this happen as well a week after upgrading to iOS 5 it started showing up all the time. So I shut the phone down and rebooted and the problem went away.

When I Use CONTACTS my IPT FREEZES!! Does this happen to you?

Depending on what that maintenance you're doing, that could be part of the problem. There's a lot of bad advice out there. In particular, cache cleaning actually has a negative impact on performance - caches are for keeping your machine running fast - and hard drive defragmentation is probably more likely to introduce new problems than it is to solve any problems unless you're dealing with very large files that cannot be automatically defragged by the OS. Does this happen to you??? sounds like a tape rewinding.... PLEASE HELP?

Periodically while I'm on the phone I hear what sounds like a "tape rewinding." Both parties are able to hear it when it happens. I have NO idea where this is stemming from... could it be a hardware issue?

yeah definitely happening to me with default reg_exp.
i could see it being on purpose; you don't want your reply to "Subject" to be "Re:Subject"; you'd want "Re: Subject". but i want that to stop after the first email; if i'm sending emails back and forth an extra space is inserted with each correspondence. bizarre.

Your trackpad: Does this happen to you?

This is weird. I noticed this just now, wonder if it's a defect or not.
Basically, look at your trackpad and put your finger in the center and start moving your finger all around....left to right etc.
Then take it off. Place your finger now from the furthest right or left side and try to move it. Mine doesn't respond to this. The 1/4th of the left or right respond ONLY when my finger starts from the middle-ish area of the pad. Is this right or is my pad messed?

do you mean this? place your finger along side the track pad and then starting off the pad dragging over the pad the cursor doesnt really grab and move my finger is about 3quarters of an inch into the track pad? does that make sense and is that what you mean? mine doesnt respond quickly until that point but then i dont have my track pad settings at the fastest either, maybe check your track pad settings, i know it sounds basic and im sure you probably already have but hey ya never know

I am having lots of stability issues at the moment - I am now in the process of eliminating the cause and wondered if anyone out there has a similar if not the same set up as me and has had problems.

Have any of you got a similar set up or notice particular issue with any of them when running Logic Pro.
I have found that Stylus RMX will crash a project almost all the time as it seems to have a memory leak at least in my set up. Remove stylus and beauty is restored.
Any thoughts comments would be really helpful - I am finishing an album and really need to have a stable platform to do a good job driving me nuts at the moment.

i ran Predator for a while, but it was woefully unstable, causing crash after crash.
got onto customer support and they explained that there was a problem with Rob Papen running specifically on Logic.
It used to crash as soon as i attempted to change a preset.
Incidentally they said it would be fixed, but never heard from them on this issue. i know use FAW Circle (which is really nice), Sylenth and UHE Zebra (which is ridiculously well priced).
all very good, and very stable.
Rob Papens Albino works well though, and have never had issues with it.

Firefox will crash for me if I have more than 5 or 6 tabs open, does this happen to you?

On my computer all of the volume works. When I open itunes and play a song there is no sound feedback. Does anyone else have this problem?? Anyone have a solution to this??

When I notice my wireless speeds decrease over about 24 hours I restart it. Via my cable speed test site I then go back to my 28-30 Mbps speeds.
It lasts but as the speed decreases again I restart.

No. I work on the computer all day long. Uploading and downloading files to clients. I can notice sppeds slowing throughout te day. I run a test or two and se how I go from 28+Mbps to 18, 12, 9. I open AirPort Utility, change any setting (in order to utilitze restart), usually WPA group time out and restart.
My speeds go back to 28+ Mbps.
This is a consistent episode every day. I want top speed - restart

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Apple menu (left on top) and choose "force Quit":
choose appstore and forcequit.
Start Appstore again, login, and choose the Update page.

So all 100 + uni iMac's can only use Safari as I would need to do a profile push to all 300 students and I am unsure what file carries the proxy information.

The fact that you can receive means you have a valid e mail address, and have established the connection to the incoming server, so all of that works. Since the send does not work, that means your outgoing server is rejecting whatever settings you used formthe outgoing set up. Try them again.
Google your particular isp, and ipad and many times you will find the exact settings needed for your isp. Or tell us here, and soneone else may be on the same isp. Some mail services need you to change a port, or have a unique name for the outgoing server.
Kep trying.

Under search in maps, names come up that aren't in my contacts. How does this happen?

Under search history in the Maps app,...along with all the other places I
did search for, some addresses comes up that I'm not familiar with, and they stay
there. In some cases I didn't search for them at all. Some I may have. A name also
appears, under the address, like "from John Doe". It’s a name that
I'm familiar with my email, but is not in my contacts. Why and how does
this happen?
For example, a person I receive emails from for work, came up as the
"from", and the address, after I searched for it (not on my phone).....I found out
it was the address of his company, I place I've never searched for, nor is
there a hyper-link to it any emails/websites that I could have clicked on
accidentally.
In another example, the beginning of an address “5165” which I may have searched
for and starting typing in came up in the history with several locations that
start with those numbers. Most of them say “from current location”, but one says from
a name, whom again I’m familiar with by email, but is not in my contacts and
have no idea of why the name would be somehow connected to the address.
