You can't buy one there. Only the USA (maybe canada) and ONLY with an AT&T rate plan.

Does The iPhone works in Sweden?
Or is it locked to USA's network?
Can I make calls from the iPhone from Sweden, that's the question...Yes, you can use it in Sweden on roaming, or anywhere else in the world. It will cost a fair bit though, as carriers charge high prices for using mobile phones abroad. In fact, a substantial amount of their annual profits come from charging roaming customers (a few years ago I seem to recall some operators making a quarter of their annual profits from this relatively small segment of the market).
But you can't swap the SIM for a Swedish one and use a domestic carrier directly. -

so my questio nis, will this work in Sweden if I buy it in for example London?Unfortunatley it will not work anywhere outside of AT&T and its roaming partners. You must have an account with AT&T and the corresponding multiyear contract. The problem is that in the US and Canada and many other countries (though not all) the network providers are really in the business of selling phones. They get exclusive distribution contracts with the phone suppliers then they modify (break) the phone so that it will only work on thier network. On top of this they will only offer locked in multiyear contracts to get access. So althought some governements are forcing cell phone companies to faciliate number transfer if you switch, they have done nothing about the restrcitive network access policies which are a much bigger problem.
Imagine if your ISP forced you to buy a computer from them, made you sign up to a multiyear contract, then disabled the computer from working with any other ISP. That is essentially what they are doing.
OK in some cases the multiyear contracts do cross subsidise the phone cost, but at $600 I don't see allot of subsidisation going on here. What I see is colusion and predatory behavior.
I'm disgusted that apple is helping to perpetuate this model. I should be able to buy whatever phone I want, from wherever I want and connect to whatever compatible network I want.

24 hours after setting the erase button on the Find My iPhone option in iCloud the phone was still not erased. Does this function work in a timely fashion?
No. It functions when connected to the Internet.

Past from 1year am using 4s in India...if we carry this phone to Australia does this phone work...
If its does not work Then what is the procedure..???Call AppleCare and tell them you just want to know if your iPhone is unlocked and if not, who is it locked with. If it is locked contact the cell provider and ask them what their unlock process is and complete it if you qualify.

How do I fix the compatibility issue between my iPhone 4S with iOS 7 and my Pioneer car stereo? There was no problem with iOS 6, but now I get a message saying "this device is not compatible" and so I can't use Netflix for example. How do I fix it?
This is a typical response from the manufacturer. Did you try the fix that Lawrence mentioned. When Apple or any other phone manufacturer update phone software, they have the latest Bluetooth installed. It is usually the problem with the radio manufacturer that they devices are using the older Bluetooth protocols. You can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581 and see if anything there helps, but generally it requires the radio manufacturer to update their firmware.

How does "Find iPhone" work for a wifi-only iPad?
My wife's iPad is in out home on a satellite internet connection, in the country, connected to our router which assigns it an internal IP address. Yet when I log into Find iPhone from my iPhone, it shows up right inside the house most of the time, within 200' or so other times. Now the "circle of uncertainty" is larger then my wife's iPhone, it's still pretty accurate given the way it's connected. This baffles me.
Thanks,

That doesn't answer HOW the database determined the router location to begin with./message-abuse!input.jspa?objectID=28092111&objectType=2
It does – the OP is using multiple iOS devices, the iPhones have GPS which is used to submit data to Apple via the diagnostics & usage. It may also come from other iOS users who have the same feature enabled.

I suspect the reason that your cellular iPad is getting accurate locations is because your modem is broadcasting a wifi access point. IP's are a poor indicator of location, despite what CSI tells you
That access point will be added to Apples database. Your iPhone has a setting that will help with this… 'Settings > General > Usage > Diagnostics & usage', if Automatically send is enabled then you are reporting anonymous data to Apple, including the location of the networks you use, the same network that is in range for the iPad. Apple is using iOS to crowd source the data.
Not true at all. A cellular iPad also has a GPS receiver and it obtains location information from GPS. GPS signals are separate from and completely unrelated to both the Internet and the cellular telephone network. GPS signals come directly from the GPS satellites. They provide signals that allow GPS receivers to calculate latitude and longitude information. Software inside the device translates latitude/longitude into landmark information, such as street addresses.
I was referring to the GPS on the iPhone.
I know how GPS works thanks, I can see 4 satellites in this hemisphere, the others are out of view
I was also assuming this was a wifi iPad (no cellular, no GPS) - hence the reason for the original poster surprise. However I may have simply read 'wife's iPad' as 'wifi iPad'? -
Does The iPhone Work In My Country?
Hi. I wanted to buy an iPhone but I don't know if it works in Honduras, Central America.
I'd be thankful if anyone could let me know...

At this moment, the iPhone can only be activated with a USA address and other criteria. It may be able to be used in other countries with roaming charges, which are outrageous.
Not true. The iPhone works in ANY country and it can be activated EVERYWHERE.
Of course ONLY if using methods which aren't officially supported or approved by Apple.
Since I'm not permitted to give out details (do a Google search, use the words iPhone, unlock and hack but BEWARE of rogue sites trying to sell you an unlock!), a few hints:
1. a software unlock is available but it works with FW 1.0.2 (latest) and it will be "gone" as soon as you update to a newer FW version
2. the software unlock requires to activate the iPhone first and to change it to a "writeable" state. Both requires certain methods NOT approved or supported by Apple, one reason why your iPhone warranty may be affected too by doing this.
3. software unlocking the iPhone requires basic computer skills and it works best using OSX but it works with Windows too.
4. applying the software unlock incorrectly (not following the instructions step by step without ANY deviation), may brick your iPhone, putting it in a state where it can't be recovered anymore and you need to send it in to Apple. It doesn't happen too often but it has happened to a couple of people, so make sure you READ the instructions first, print them out and read them again before applying the software unlock.
5. a point and shoot application isn't available yet for the software unlock but the current methods require very little skills since they're using a graphical interface instead of command line utilities.
6. a point and click application may be available soon to allow a simple software unlock even for novice computer users.
It is sad that Apple went the wrong way (in my opinion) to market the iPhone, selling it freely to anybody on this planet, not provider-locked, would have allowed even higher numbers of sold phones and people wouldn't get angry at the locked phone policy Apple started with AT&T.
Another thing: there are already tons of third party appliations available for the iPhone, unfortunately the same thing here...NOT supported or approved by Apple. Some of these applications allow a free configuration of the "Springboard" of the iPhone, making it possible to have 30(!) icons on the screen, you can scroll them down very easy. There are many many other interesting applications like the WiFi stumbler or even an Apache webserver.
The iPhone community is huge right now and I just hope that Apple understands that this community is only on their side if Apple really stays "neutral" like they promised in an interview. If Apple would start to fight the community, the outrage would be incredible. -
Hard drive caddy - T61 - How does this thing work?
I have a 200gig hard drive on my T61. Since my computer has died twice in a year I want to have a cloned hard drive handy to insert and not miss a beat and not fuss with reinstalling everything.
When I bought the machine I also bouht a hard drive caddy...
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?...
I bought a SATA 500 gig hard drive and inserted this into the hard drive caddy.
I inserted the caddy into the CD drive area.
Now what?
When I click on "My Computer" I do not see the drive listed?
Do I need special software to make a clone of my hard drive on here? Recommendations?
I thought Lenovo had one that came with it, but I do not see anything?
Should "My Computer" see this drive with the caddy?
All advice greatly appreciated!!Good advice, same as the Lenovo Tech support. Unfortunately it does not see the new drive there either...
Right clicked My Computer
Manage
Disk Management
(Only C: drive shows)
This is the way to initialize drives, a step before cloning apparently to set up a new drive.
I ordered a SATA to USB cable from Amazon for $28. Hopefully this will work were yet another Lenovo periferal has failed.
Very frustrated with Lenovo, definitely my last one. After buying 3 in a year from Lenovo even with a warranty all I get is attitude from customer service. One guy told me that backing up was the same as cloning.
For anyone with the same problem trying to clone, I believe you will need a 3rd party software to make a clone.
Norton Ghost - $70
CloneZilla - Free
1. Get Hard Drive
2. Connect new hard drive
3. Initialize new hard drive
4. Get third party software
5. Clone -
WRT1900AC Does this device work?
I've had this router for about 20 days now and I'm convinced it simply does not work. At $250, it's the worst purchase decision I've ever made. I've searched this forum, but it sounds like my experience is like others... Unboxed unit, set it up. Updated to the latest firmware. Connected a device. Nice it works! Connected a second and third device... why is that light flashing orange!?! Why are my family member complaining they lost thier connection? Let me contact support. Okay, download firmware, factory reset, update firmware, unplug stuff, plug it back in.. turn it on. I'll disconnect devices too, so I dont hear any more complaints. Hey, it worked! Ten days without a reboot! Let me start reconnecting devices again.... Wait, why is it rebooting? More complaints! People, be patient! Seems to me the device runs really well if nothing is connected to it! When I start actually using the router, I'm right back to 12 hour reboots. I build my own computers... if this thing isn't really fixed soon, they'll lose a customer for life AND I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this company. What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAT6 is recommended.
Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask.

Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting and maintain consistency for applications that need to connect as well as mapped drives.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.

Router Placement
Forum User - "Well I feel really dumb. After moving the router away from other electronic devices my speeds are back to normal. Just a heads up for anyone experiencing slow speeds, you might want to move it away from other electronics and see if that helps."
3-6' feet minimum safe distance between devices.
Placement on main level floor and central in the building and WELL ventilated is preferred. Not in basements or closets as building materials, or near by electronics devices could interfere or hinder good signal propagation.

Problem: Why does this only work for powers of 2?
I wrote this program to create a golf league schedule for, ideally, eight players. However I want it to be flexible enough to permit for other denominations, such as 10 or 12. When I run the program it works perfectly for any number that is a power of 2 (2,4,8,16,32,etc...) but it will not work for other even numbers such as 6,10, or 12. If anyone has any insights it would be most helpful.

System.out.println(schedule[num] + "VS" + schedule[num + 1] +
//incriment num
num++;
}//end for
}//end display
}//end WeekAh, I have discovered the problem. The reason for the infinite loop was because of the resetting of the counter/index after every successful match entry back to (a - 1). This was causing matches to be put into weeks where they didn't belong, which caused the program to infinitely loop because it couldn't find an appropriate week to place it's next match. The only time the count should be reset back to zero is when a new player A is being processed or the last valid array index has been referenced before an out of bounds exception would be thrown. I'm still not entirely sure why this doesn't occur on powers of 2 but theh again I haven't put too much thought into it having solved the initial problem! :)
Anyways thanks for the input all who posted, much appreciated.
