How to make the phone's battery last longer ?

Hi everyone,
i am wondering if there is any difference when the battery is fully desharged thus the phone swithes off , and then you plug it into the power outlet to be charged.
or if it is not fully decharged, and it has some one or two battery bars on the upper right corner of the display, and you set it to be charged, is there any signifficant difference between these two states ?
is there any official or technical advice on "How to make the phone's battery last longer " ??

It depends on the battery.
Charging the battery when there is some power in it is especially bad for NiMH batteries. The loss of power is called "memory effect" - battery "remembers" that it does not get fully utilized and over time starts supplying less power.
But new Nokias come with Li-Ion or Li-Polymer and the effect on these being charged when there is still power in them is negligible. Especially for the Li-Polymer ones.

?The information here?is completly incorrect. Please try it for yourself. I have just recieved my soundcard. Ive looked on the disk for the support number. Yes i did find it. But your phone number no longer exists. So there is no phone number to contact you ATALL even using the disk. So its either your disks are out of date and wrong or you just do not have a phone number. If you can find the phone number please would you send me it as i need desperate technical suppor because my soundcard is faulty. The fault being the fact that every sound crackles (no matter how quiet.)

The warranty/support, on that phone, has expired. But, it originally came with a one-year hardware warranty.

The nice part is that I work remotely, so I only have to wake up 15 minutes or so before the meeting.... No, you should be able to use/install LR5. Make sure you are using the correct number. If the problem continues explain the details of what you do and what happens.
You should try contacting Adobe Support thru chat and see if they can resolve this with you. or the link below click the Still Need Help? option in the blue area at the bottom and choose the chat option...

I have a 3Gs iPhone, which I've had for 1 year 83 days and the home button si faulty. I have checked on the internet and this seems to be a common issue.
I have a contract with O2 for 24 mouths due to run out March 2012 but the phone was bought from Carphone Warehouse.
I have been to O2 and they say it's out of the Apple warranty and therefore I will have to pay for a repair. They also have now said because it came from CPW they will do nothing for me.
I have been to Apple and they say the same thing that I have to pay for the repair as it's out of warranty
My query is surely I can expect a phone that has been looked after should last longer than 83 days? Therefore under the sale of good act I should get a repair or replacement for free???
I am now paying for a contract where the phone doesn't work!

Good luck with that. Most of the world does not have anything like what you believe your "sale of goods act" is supposed to do. It sounds like you expect it to extend the warranty on a Product from Apple until your contract with an entirely different company is complete. I think you'll find that you are misinterpreting that law. The exception may be if you purchased the phone from the carrier and the law is written in such a way as to require them to replace the device if it fails during the term of the contract, though I doubt that will be the case either.

I think you're using a Lion developer version. Open  > About this Mac > More Info, and copy Software here. Did you purchase Lion in the App Store?

Is it just me or does the 5c last longer then the 5s

seems like the 5c lasts longer then the 5s. is this true? i know the 5s has a lot stronger and more powerful processer and cpu and graphics card so wouldnt that make the 5s drain faster with more usage time then the 5c? i had a 5 then traded it for the 5s and have been so ****** off since then. my 5s drains so fast. 10% in an hour with it all basically being standy time. 4% with 5 songs played in the car (not streaming), seems to go down fast like an android. i heard that the 5c is basically the 5 with new case and slight improvements. does this mean it lasts longer since it doesnt have as much power to run it constantly? i just never had my iphone last this short. my gfs 4 lasted longer then her 5s. its annoying the crap out of both of us. can anyone say anything about this?

Is Spotlight done indexing? If not that may be why. If it has indexed, then you may need to force it to reindex. This assumes the file you want is not in a system folder. To force a reindex open the Spotlight preferences, click on the Privacy tab, drag the icon for your hard drive into the Privacy window. Wait about 30 seconds then select the listing and click on the Delete [-] button to remove it. This will force Spotlight to reindex your drive, but you'll need to wait until that's done to check if it fixes the problem.

Take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar for testing, and if it is defective and under warranty they will replace. Since you say iPhone 4, was this a used or refurbished iPhone?

if it's a message coming from your yahoo account, it means that your account has been compromised, not your phone itself. i would suggest changing the password for your email account

this is a follow up from the profane post earlier....
i have done this twice in two other posts..
here is my problem.. i started off trying to update itunes, it failed twice and said i needed to install manually via tools.
the only place to get to tools is the pop up box that appears when you click check for updates.. if there is an available update then the pop up shows up with the quick time and itunes files to download. so i finally figured that out. i clicked on tools and manual update, four files were saved to a file. Apple mobile device support, another one similar, itunes, and another one i cant remember. I only downloaded the itunes file seeing as though thats all i needed to accomplish in the first place.
so then i restarted my computer bc you need to reboot and then reopen itunes for update to take effect. once i have itunes back open i plugged in my new 5s which i am trying to sync to my computer to get all my stuff back bc i lost my previous phone over the weekend.. once i plugged the phone in an error stating i needed to unistall the apple mobile device support and itunes and then reinstall. well i dont know where those files were originally stored on my computer AND since my itunes was updated, just not the other 3 associated files, when i click check for updates it says its up to date and then pop up containing the quick time and itunes does not pop up thus i cant get back to the tools tab to manually save the 4 files again.
so i was just going to uninstall itunes all together and then i thought well what happens if it erases all my photos apps songs etc... which would defeat the whole purpose in the first place of me trying to sync my new phone to get all my stuff back.
so i literally have no idea what to do at this point.. if you have read this you are probably just as confused as me...

your iCloud storage isnt part of your phone, that is a back up for your phone, you have to delete things on your phone, so I recommend backing up your photos to your computer or iCloud since im sure thats whats taking up all your storage, then delete the photos on your phone and then update your phone using iTunes on your computer.

If it isn't from something you did (like update iOS on an iPhone, or activate a new iPhone), then yes, I would be suspicious.
