Does Toshiba support "JEDEC ram" standards

It's because I want to buy a 2GB kingston Value RAM to it. I do not have money for Toshiba or Samsung 2GB RAM since they cost the half of what my laptop is worth.

Hi
In my knowledge you can use memory modules from different module manufacturers.
The memory modules specifications are important!!!
If the module supports the right hardware specifications it should be compatible with the notebook.
One hint; The performance of no-name memory modules is not very good. I would advisable to use brand-name memory modules.

  • VWLC does not support 802.11ac standard?

On data sheet page, on wireless standards i cannot see 802.11ac  to be supported.
why? it is not supported or is just an error on the data sheet.

802.11ac support is tied to the access point and the compatibility with code version on the WLC/vWLC.  SO as long as you have 802.11ac access points and the proper supported WLC/vWLC code, 802.11ac will be available.

  • Does Toshiba supports an BIOS Update Utility like DCCU?

    Hi all
Different notebook manufacturer use a utility called the Client Configuration Utility (DCCU) which can be used to update the BIOS for multiple notebook models from the series.
I have searched these forums and the web but I cannot find a similar tool for Toshiba laptops.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
    Thanks
    Scott
    Edited by: admin

    > My firm has hundreds of laptops from another large manufacturer who do supply the DCCU utility to centrally manage BIOS updates and other BIOS settings, such as enabling/disabling options like Wake On LAN.
Well, the Toshiba provides a tool called Toshiba HWSetup. Using this tool you can change the different BIOS settings like booting order, wake up on LAN, etc very easily in the Windows OS.
As you know BIOS update is always risky and the BIOS update procedure is not always the same on all Toshiba notebooks series. The wrong BIOS or wrong update procedure can damage the motherboards ROM.
Therefore the BIOS update must be done on single notebook.
    > Why is it that this particular manufacturer can create the DCCU utility that works for all machine models and Toshiba cannot produce a similar utility please?
Who knows ?:| I didnt find such informations in the internet or on the Toshiba page Such questions can be answered by a Toshiba technician or Toshiba manager but as you probably dont know this is a user-to-user forum and a simply user like me and you dont know such details In my personal opinion every manufacturer have own policies and restrictionsThat's all

  • Envy 17-j141na SD card reader - what card types does it support

As in the title really - what card types does the SD reader on the Envy 17-j141na support? I can't find this actually documented anywhere.
I know it supports up to SDHC, does it support the SDXC standard ?
    Mike

    Good Morning mykejb,
As I stated your specifications do not state the exact cards it supports.  I regret that  I am unable to give you a yes or no answer.
If you check around the card reader itself, sometimes on the bottom of the notebook, it will list the supported card types.  If not all I can suggest is try and see.   If it seems if the card is too small for the slot, you may need an adapter for an SDXC card.
Here is a link to SD/SDHC/SDXC Specifications and Compatibility( from scan disk support).  Please note this quote"NOTE: Internal card readers on laptops from 2008 and prior may NOT support SDXC cards. SDXC cards will work in SDHC compatible readers (not SD readers) if the computer OS supports exFAT. For more information on exFat see: Operating Systems that support the exFAT File System"

  • When does iTunes supports  AAC+ / MPEG4 radio live streams?

I like listening radio live streams thru airTunes on my stereo. Unfortunately at the moment the swiss national radio station does not support iTunes as e.g. www.kcrw.com. They answered they will jump one step further to AAC+ / MPEG4 as new standard formats. But of course iTunes does not support this new standard either. Has anyone a clue if iTunes will support these new formats? thanks

    Hello,
Does icloud email support the DMARC standard?  Some of the emails that come into my icloud.com should an unknown dmarc status in the headers.  For example:

is contained in the header of some emails.   I send the same email to a gmail account and it shows dmarc setup properly.  Are their special rules for icloud for DMARC?

If I'm not mistaken, GMail is more robust in allowing you control over whether you automatically reply using the address to which a message was sent, to avoid inadvertently revealing your real or main address when dealing with mail from aliases, unless iCloud does that by default (I've only used this type of feature through GMail but was tending to my old Mac.com address and ran across your post...).
