Does UMX Work with both Oracle Apps 11i and Oracle Portal

I am looking for some information related to UMX, Please share...
Has some one setup UMX in your 11i instance.. How comfortable it is after installation
I am looking to setup UMX for an Apps11i instance...
I am also sharing this Apps11i Database with Portal and Discoverer installation.
It is my initial understanding that the UMX is tightly coupled with Apps11i, Can I also integrate or use UMX with Discoverer/Portal.
Well, my basic purpose of exploring UMX is to get the Automatic Password Reset. If you are aware of anyother Password reset feature (which is not custom built using FND_USER Package & Procedure, coz..upgrade/maintenance issue), Please let me know.

That would be it. Sometimes you can tweak the album & artist names enough for iTunes to download matching art from the store, or you could add a bonus track featuring 1 second of silence and attach artwork to that, or you could convert the files to Apple Lossless.

Since "easy" and "least work" seem important to you, I'd suggest a career in something besides IT. I could make some specific suggestions but run the risk of insulting people who work in those areas.

Please use a component cable. With either RCA or optical for audio. That is the quickest fix. For current HDMI issues.

Working with both a bluetooth keyboard and keypad

Is there a limitation on how many keyboard devices can be used at once?
I have a third party bluetooth keyboard and keypad set. Each of them was recognized and paired with the iPad okay.
However it only connects to one device or the other. Never both at the same time. Is this a limitation of the iPad software? (also of note: the keypad works okay with the exception of the enter key. It worked okay for the purpose of typing in the code to pair the device with the iPad, but not when in general use.)

Im also having this same problem with the Microsoft BT Keyboard 6000. I can only use one at a time.
Also, I cant get the copy & paste ( Control C or V ) to work

Cant Open Oracle Apps 11i Forms after installing latest JRE

We are currently on Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2. I had to install latest JRE 1.6 Update23 to be able to work on BI Publisher Templates and now I can't open any of the Oracle Forms under eBusiness Suite. IE just crashes, doesnt show any message on JInitiator Console either. Same issue with Mozilla Firefox browser.
FYI..I have a colleague who is able to work on both...BI Publisher Template Mgr and Oracle Fin Forms with latest JRE installed..So dont think its a server issue, its just my client setup. Any help is appreciated.

What is the difference between your client and your colleague client (in terms of client OS, browser, installed applications, ..etc)?
Do you meet the requirements in (Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 285218.1])?
Can you reproduce the issue with Firefox?

It does not work with sync between Outlook

It does not work with sync between Outlook, Exchange and iPhone.
Writing something into the iPhone so it will in the PC calendar and put up in telefoen. After a while, it disappears from the iPhone but is still on the computer. The same goes for the iPad. Seems to have arisen after the last update as a security measure was around May 25 -13.

Suggest turning off and deleting the Exchange account and adding it back again. Appears there is a communications problem between the two.

Installation of Oracle Apps 11i Realese 5 with 11.5.6 Family Pack

I am having problem starting the installation of this program.......Oracle Apps 11i Realese 5. I have Windows 2000 and would like to do CD installation rather than Stage installation.
I have downloaded and ran the JDK-1_1_8_009-Win. Here are the steps taken: I inserted the Red CD "Start Here" in my CD-ROM, opened the DOS prompt, and changed the C:> prompt to E:> prompt which is my CD-ROM drive, I then typed E:>cd rapidwiz....Enter, this opens E:\rapidwiz>, I then typed rapidwiz.cmd which was supposed to open my Oracle Universal Installer, butI got: E:\rapidwiz>start.\bin\launch.exe.RapidWiz.cL
E:\rapidwiz>
What do I do from here, do I insert the Disk 1 or what, because I have 14 CD's to be installed.

Tuning Oracle APPS 11i Start with

I am new to Oracle APPS, and am working oracle apps 11i 11.5.10.2 with 10.2.5.0, the database and application was upgraded by previous dba. which left almost 3-4 months before.
now my question is i want to have a performance tuning for Oracle apps environment, can you please suggest some key points for starting with and some good links for future usage.
Other thing is i have used find command on my linux box and found many log files which are greater than 1000K on apps tier (forms/reports/web), and similiarly db tier (db/admin/concurrent).
can i just remove all these logfiles using os (rm) command and is it feasible with production environment on running mode or is it not feasible and i should use some other ways/etc.

I have been also asked to apply latest patches on PROD APPS/DB/* system, I can check using sql, which patches are applied, but how can i know which patches are required, (don't know about the licensed products with never ask policy here).

Tuning is something that require more analysis less action, first you need to answer:-
1) Why do you need tuning? is it proactive or some incident happend?
2) Where are you facing issues? i.e. which module, form, report or whole application.
3) Number of users facing issues? i.e. is it single user, user at one location or all users.
4) Has something changed in past that might have triggered this need?
Theri are various components involved in tuning that start from :-
1) user machine
2) network
3) Application tier.
4) Database tier.
Application tier can be further divided into:-
1) Apache server(JVM, modplsql, jserv etc etc
2) Form Server
3) Concurrent processing server
4) Discovered if using,
5) XML publisher..
and like wise other component using.
If you are looking to tune then i believe start from application tier first, pick one by one componets, like if your users are facing issues with login then use note that i have provided, if users are not satisifed with time taken to complete concurrent request then you might have to tune it and likewise.

Log file you have mentioned can be removed depedning upon your company policy if any.

Yes, I have both the 1G and 2G ATVs working off a 5 GHz n only network. Since the 2.4 GHz band can be set up to be backwards compatible with b/g networks it will work here too.
I use an Apple Time Capsule to create a dual band network. Running my ATVs and Airport Expresses on the 5 GHz band improved streaming and AirPlay speaker reliability substantially in my location. I suspected interference from my neighbor's networks as well as other 2.4 GHz sources. I had to create the 2.4 GHz network for my 1G touch and an older laptop to work which don't need as reliable of a network connection.
