Does update all restore all my deleted apps?

I have downloaded tons of apps, but have also deleted many of them to make space in my phone.
If I "update all" alls from the App Store, will this update only the apps that are installed (and not deleted) on my phone?  or will it also reinstall all the other apps I've bought or downloaded in the past?
Thank you.

"Update all" will only update the ones in the list that are showing as having an update.

Can some one help? i dont remember my passcode to be able to rset all my settings and delete apps what can i do.

If you mean that you forgot the restrictions Passcode, typically you have to restore the device as new in order to get rid of the Passcode. If by some chance you have a backup that does not contain the password, you can restore from that backup to remove the Passcode.
I found this in another discussion a whole back and I keep it handy in case someone wants to try it. I have never down this but it worked for a couple of users that were involved in the discussion. All of the copy under the Reset Restrictions Passcode, is another user's word, not my own.

    1. Download iPhone Backup Extractor http://supercrazyawesome.com/ (This is for OSX, if you are using Windows there are other Backup Extractor programs although my iPhone syncs with a Mac so you will have to tweak these directions to work with the Windows program, here is one of the Windows programs I found: http://www.iphonebackupextractor.com/)
    2. Extract the Zip file you downloaded, move the App to your Applications folder, then run the App
    3. Click on Read Backups, in the window that pops up click on the backup file of the device you need the lost pin for, then click Choose
    4. You will have a list of all the Apps on the phone. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click on iOS Files, then click on Extract. Choose a folder where you want the files to be extracted to.
    5. After it finishes extracting go to the folder where you extracted the files and follow this directory path: iOS Files --> Library --> Preferences
    6. In that folder find the file "com.apple.springboard.plist" and open it. (Read note below if on Windows)
    7. In Property List Editor look for the key titled "SBParentalControlsPin"
    8. Look to the right of that entry and you will see the 4 digit PIN. You can now remove/modify parental controls
(NOTE: If you are on Windows and do not have a program that will read PLIST files then open the file with Notepad instead. It will mostly look like garbled junk and words running together but towards the end of the file look for 4 successive digits, if there is more than one place with 4 successive digits then try them all, one of them will be your pin).

  • IOS 8 update states I need to delete apps under usage settings.  True?

ios 8 update states I need to delete apps under usage.  I want to keep these apps.  Feedback?

This might be true if you are running out of usable space on your device and you want to install a new app. Sometimes installing a new app can take up to 3x as much available space as the actual size of the app. In that case you'll have to free some space by deleting apps or app data.

  • Flash Player Update disables "restore all windows from last session" in Safari on Mac

I am on Mac OS 10.9.5, using safari 7.1.2.  Adobe Flash Player Update loses all safari windows when after update the installer automatically opens safari and just opens flash player website; the "restore all windows from last session" is grayed out in history. The "reopen last closed window" is also grayed out. It has been happening ever since and happened again when I just installed Flash Player ver 16.0.0.257.
For all other normal working situation I can close safari and reopen and see that I can "restore all windows from last session" and there is no problem.  But on flash Player install (set on manual install), the problem is annoying and costs me a lot of time to restore one by one from history.  I do not think this is a Mac or a Safari issue, but will update to Mac Yosemite help if Adobe Flash Player is updated differently in that setup?
    Please help.

Update: I called adobe flash player technical support phone number 1 877-587-1877.  They want $59 (warranty only 6 months) to fix this problem as they use a third party to solve this issue; they themselves provide no support.  Or buy the paid version.  They insist it is my network issue which I absolutely can not believe.
It is adobe Flash player update that forces reopening of safari and wracks the safari losing all windows from last session. That is not my network.  Adobe does not have a proper safari compatible flash player update.
Besides, this is a known problem at Adobe and they are not fixing it and want money to fix it one person at a time!  They also shared that 25% to 30% of the installations have this problem... wow!! and they still will not fix it in a general update!  I wonder if safari has a plug in update that can fix this?

  • How to restore an accidentally deleted app?

Okay, so I messed up and deleted Brain Challenge from iTunes (long story about weird syncing). Anyway, I later synced and it's now disappeared from my iPhone. Obviously I've paid for this app and want it back. How do I get it back? I surely don't have to pay £5.99 again? Would a Restore put the app back in place?
    Scottster

Thanks all. I ended up trying a Restore, on the basis that this was the only possible shot at getting back my lost progress file for Brain Challenge. Well, the Restore went smoothly but it did not restore the Brain Challenge app, or the progress.
However, I have since gone through with the 'repurchase' on Brain Challenege and iTunes did spot that I'd already paid for it and therefore let me download it again. Even so, I think the dialog box iTunes throws up before that "this is free" dialog is very, very confusing -- it made me believe I was going to be charged again. And that's just stupid.
Gotta say, from this experience I think the whole iPhone backup/restore procedure could do with some serious tightening up and an injection of clarity.

  • Does updating to Mac OSX Yosemite delete my photos on iPhoto?

I want to update to Mac OSX 10.10 from 10.7.5 and I was wondering if my photos on iPhoto would be erased from this process. Also, is there a way to save the photos onto a flash drive?

Updating OS X will not delete any of your data.
You should have a (TimeMachine) backup of all your data.
Copy ~/Pictures/Photo Library to your flash drive.

  • Does Content Copier restore all bought application...

    Hi,
I have a 7610 and was hoping to have the firmware upgraded.
When I back up my phone with Content Copier it gives a list of the files that it's backed up. This list does not seem to include any third-party applications I've installed or their data files.
I'm currently using PC Suite 6.41.6 but have also recently used 6.81 which seems to behave the same. (As an aside - 6.81 seems to break Lifeblog 1.0 synchronisation - any further info on that anywhere?)
I have not been able to get a definitive answer (even from a Nokia Service Centre) to the following questions:
    - Are all copyrighted bought applications backed up by Content Copier? I'm referring to applications installed from SIS files and applications installed by text message.
    - Is all data saved to the phone by those applications backed up?
    - Can all applications and data be restored to the original phone they were backed up from? For example, after a firmware upgrade?
    - Can they be restored to a replacement phone of the same model? For example, after loss/theft of original phone? I'm assuming that in some cases, the change in IMEI number might be a problem here.
    - Can they be restored to a replacement phone of a different model that supports the same version of J2ME etc? I'd be surprised if this worked but I thought I'd ask.
Any information would be gratefully received.
    Regards,
    Phil
P.S. There seems to be something wrong with the advanced search of the forums. The "All of these words" option never seems to return anything.
P.P.S. The "Preview Post" button also seems to have a problem - it loses all the line breaks in the post.

    1. The sent items folder issue might be caused by the trial version limit.
    2. You can issue a bug report for NokiGems. Usually fixed in 24 hours.
    3. SMS's senders are phone number means the phone book has no name for that number.

  • How to restore a single deleted app (Preview)?

    Hello
I accidentally deleted Preview and somehow managed to over-write it in the trash with another file named 'Preview'. Don't ask me how, I'm embarassed even to write this
anyway, now I need to restore Preview to my MacBook and cannot figure out how to do it.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Get a program called Pacifist (versiontrqacker.com). Then, go to the install disk, System/Installs (I think that's the path) and find the one that installs Preview. It's easy, really.

    Can you help me?

  • Since updating my iPhone 4S, existing apps won't update and cannot update new apps even after deleting apps to make room. What can I do?

Whenever I try to download a new app, I receive an error message that the app can't be downloaded at this time, try again later. Also, existing apps won't update. I have tried deleting apps to make more room, but so far nothing has helped.

Does it also ask you to contact itunes support?

Is it the school's iPad or yours? If it's the school's I wouldn't be fooling with trying to update it Besides, both the update and activation servers are being hammered very hard right now with people updating/activating. If you decide to update it and have the permission to do so, wait a few days to let this mad rush clear out. You wouldn't want your iPad to be NOT working because it could not be activated due to the wealth of people do so.
But to answer your question, Apps already on the device should remain on the device if you update the iOS.

  • ITunes.  After installing new software, what does "restore iPod" mean?  Does it mean to restore all games and data to the new software or does it mean to "undo" the software update?

iTunes.  After backing iPod to computer and installing new software, what does "restore iPod" mean?  Does it mean to restore all games and data to the new software or does it mean to "undo" the software update?

You can restore your iPod to "New" which will erase every thing and install fresh iOS software or you can restore to a particular backup that you have previously created. In this case, your iPod Apps & data will appear as per the backup. Note that some content is not in a backup and will need to be synced back to the iPad from the iTunes music library or from, for example, the iPhoto photo library.

No, it won't revert to the prior OS X but you you may have third party apps installed that were compatible with Lion that may not be compatible with Mountain Lion.
