Does VECTOR exist only for legacy code support??

My colleague informed me that the VECTOR class was a JAVA 1.0/1.1 implementaiton and is only still around for legacy code support in JAVA 2. Is that a valid statement?? Does SUN publish anything about this issue??

In JDK1.3 doc it says Arraylist is faster than Vector but unsynchronized. So I guess it's better off using Arraylist in most cases, but Vector is still more convenient to use to ensure threadsafe.

    I am trying to upload the time sheets of the employees from other software to SAP using the Tcode SE38,
    Later from HR to Co we are using CATs (Cat2 and CAT7) to transfer the data. Time time sheet contais the details of the sales order against which they have spent time, their time consumption for providing services and also the activity type they have performed.
    In SE38, while I am trying to upload the data it shows an error saying "Master record for cost center/EAT007 exist only for 2009".I am trying to upload the data for 2010 Jan to Aug.
    When checked, the Cost center's validity in our system is from 01.01.2009 to 12.31.9999.
    Please assist.

    Although in theory you can install the client and the application server on one machine so you can be "2 tier" but yes, client/server was desupported back in 6i.

  • "Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project. The Output directory .... does not exist" - Looking for Solution Config Name Folder?

    Good evening,
    I've been working on and with a VS2013 Update 2 / Azure SDK 2.3 Cloud Service project for a while now and never had a problem debugging it (setting the .ccproj Project as Startup Project) but at the moment I cannot Debug it anymore - I always get the following
    error message:
    Failed to debug the Windows Azure Cloud Service project.  The output directory 'D:\Workspace\Development\Sources\AzureBackend\csx\Backend - Debug' does not exist.
    Now what's odd here, is the last part - the "Backend - Debug" is the Solution configuration name, ALL projects in that particular solution configuration are set to the Debug Configuration. The .ccproj file also only specifies Debug|Any CPU (and
    Release|Any CPU respectively) as its output folder(s). Why is the Solution config appearing up there?
    And more importantly.. why is this happening and what can I do?!

    connect bug and these sorts of issues do appear around the forums but none contains a solution (neither reinstalling the Azure SDK nor cloaking the workspace/re-retrieving & building everything worked).

    I already tried de-installing everything Azure-Tooling related including the Azure SDK, Restarting my machine and re-installing the SDK.
    Same result. I can build the .ccproj perfectly fine and the cspack file IS generated perfectly fine, only debugging does not work and there's NO information in the VS output window (again - all projects succeed to build).
    I tried explicitely running VS as Administrator, no change. I removed all IIS Express sites (as the ccproj has one web worker role), remapped my local TFS workspace.. nothing helped.
    As building works, deploying to Azure Cloud Service (manually and via Publish inside VS) all works -perfectly-, I am pretty sure this IS a bug and I'd LOVE to help to get this fixed. As I said, currently I cannot debug and/or run & test my work, hence
    I cannot do ANY work.

    So I've tried trouble shooting this through any permissions and I've narrowed it down to one thing. Mac... I've tested (internally) creating events and creating tasks and what not on a PC and it works fine for the user. I have then tested the same user
    on multiple macs and have not been able to create tasks and calendars I keep getting this error message "List does not exist. The page you selected contains

    *spoiler alert* doesn't solve anything, it merely states the features you can and cannot do on a mac. So I'm open to suggestions. Also I've tested in Chrome and Safari and the same issue happens.

    Since no one answered this and I found the issue I will post it here. First, when trying to login to the <server name>:<port number>/<site name> it wasn't working for macs. I opened the port number on my modem/router and it started working.
    The issue where you get the list does not exist is when you use the server's internal IP address. It goes to the site like normal but for whatever reason doesn't let you use it properly. So to reiterate make sure you have opened the port that your connecting
    your sharepoint site to, and make sure your using the actual name of the server not its IP address.

    Have a M55 MT-m 8810-W8T that does not display.
    Power i suppose is OK as it powers up and give beep code of 4-3-4-3. From what I found it is a PHOENIX BIOS Q3.07 OR 4.X version. From searching I can only find that it means that "Boot code was read OK'. After the beep code I still have no display. Have tried on-board VGA (without the PCIe videocard). Tried the PCIe videocard, different memory, reset CMOS ......but still cannot get to the BIOS not boot into Windows.
    So what does that exactly mean and how do I get the PC to boot up fully?

    That usually means a memory error. Remove all of the memory and install one stick in the first slot. I have also overcome this error by "cleaning" the contacts of the memory module with the eraser of a pencil. Gently "scrub" the gold contacts at the botton of the DIMM, completely remove any residue and re-seat the module. It is possible you are mixing high and low density ram which could cause a situation like this.

    I'm using a preformatted form that contains auto calculations.  When I use it on Adobe reader 11 on my laptop, it works.  However, when I use the Adobe reader app for windows eight the auto calculations do not work.   Is there anything I Can do?

    Adobe Reader Touch (Windows Store app with "Modern" UI) does not support JavaScript yet.   Thus, auto calculations or field formatting will not work.
    If your operating system is Windows 8/8.1 (Pro), not Windows RT, you can install and run Adobe Reader XI (desktop app with classic UI).
    If your operating system is Windows RT, you may want to try Microsoft Reader (the built-in PDF viewer by Microsoft) to see if auto calculations work.

  • Right click context menu does not appear only for Java 1.7, AWT TextField

    I have been debugging some issues that an application has been having with Java 1.7 versus older versions. A new problem I have encountered is that the right click context menu does not function in any TextField. It works fine when running/compiling it with any previous version of Java. I have tried coding a simple test with a Frame, Panel and TextField to see if it might be something else in the more complex application that was causing it, but the simple test class has the same problem.
    I have searched for other people having the same issue, but I have not found anything comparable. This seems like a huge change from one version to the next and I am surprised that I am not finding this mentioned anywhere else. Can someone point me to anything that discusses this issue that I am having? Does 1.7 require I implement my own context menu? I realize AWT is old technology, but this is an old, fairly complex application that doesn't use swing, and that is not going to change at this point.

    In the past few days since upgrading to 4.0.4, the entire right-click context menu for links is gone and replaced with one item: "Copy Link" The "Open In New Tab" item, along with some other context items, is no longer there.
    That's actually a problem with your particular installation of Safari, b. I've got all the contextual menu entries with my 4.0.4.

    my daughter purchased a movie on itunes though she does not have an ipad or ipod she has a tablet, my question is can i download the movie she bought to her tablet?

    Note that iTunes can only be installed on Mac OS X or Windows. So if the tablet is running Android or some other operating system (WebOS, etc.), she will not be able to watch movies from the iTunes Store on that tablet.
