You could just buy a device that actually supports the services you need…

Other media boxes also support Vudu (Chromecast, Xbox, Playstation, Android, WDTV… basically everyone who isn't Apple).
If you think Apple will add Vudu as an Apple TV channel ask them via the feedback form. Just bear in mind that Vudu directly competes with iTunes video sales & rentals.

    ITunes won't connect all I get is the "accessing iTunes store......". With the bar scrolling but no connection.

  • Iphone 6 tells me that "Item not available" in my country UK, when i click on the itunes store icon for the app to open the music, movies or tv shows section of the app. is this a bug?

    I am based in the UK and have just got a new iphone 6, everything works well except when i try to turn on the itunes store app -  i can do a search and buy music etc that way, within the app, however, if i go to Music, Movies or the TV shows section within the Store app, i get a message come up saying "Item Not Available" - This item you've requested is not currently available in the UK Store, but it is available in the US store. Tap Change Store to view this item".   I therefore cannot browse the music, movies or tv shows sections at all, nothing shows up except that message.  All my previous itunes purchases have downloaded ok, and i can access them. My apple ID works fine and restrictions on the iphone are turned OFF. The App Store app works normally. Connection etc is all fine and I can access itunes  in the normal way on my ipad and laptop, so this is just an iphone problem. Any ideas? is this a bug? I cant find anyone else with exactly the same problem. By the way, the same message comes up when i click on the red Music icon, on the iphone (situated next to the Safari icon) and then go to the "Store" via that app.  my playlists are in tact, but as soon as i click that Store button, I am told that the Item is unavailable - not that i have chosen any Item lol, I just want to access the store in the normal way.     Apparently, you cannot do that:
    Set up your Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
    If you have made purchases using more than one ID, call Apple Support and state your case. I have heard that they may be able to do something to help you.
    I do not know why Apple makes it so easy to create Apple IDs; they suggest creating them left and right, but make it very difficult to undo once a person realizes how bad it is to use multiple Apple IDs for the same purpose, for example, iTunes Store, or App Store purchases.

    Apps are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them.  You will always be asked for the password associated with this ID when updating apps, regardless of whether or not you are using this ID for current purchases.  The only way to stop this is to delete the old apps from your phone and iTunes and repurchase them with your current ID.
    Edit: to change the ID used for future purchases on your phone, go to Settings>Store>Apple ID, tap the ID shown, sign out, sign back in using the new ID.  As explained above, you will still be prompted with the old ID when updating apps purchase with the older ID.

    Most of the people on here, including myself, are fellow users - you aren't talking to iTunes Support on these forums.
    Your post's title appears to be a reply from iTunes Support. If you are still having problems with your account (e.g. for buying or downloading content) then you should reply to that email so that they can help you with it.
    If none of your downloaded apps are working on your iPad then try downloading a free app from the store and see if they then work.

    Please help... I own a number of devices (ipad, iphone, etc) that when I go to charge or sync my data, the itunes store opens and I am "assaulted" by the general debauchery and unhealthy living promoted by music album covers.  
    The browser software lets me choose my home page so that I can control my view of an application.  Is it possible to avoid seeing this array of disgusting, generally, pictures?

    You can bookmark all those pages and place them in a folder. Then you can set that folder as the Home page (Use Bookmark). If you only want to open one page then use the folder to choose which one. You can either use the Bookmarks Toolbar or the Bookmarks Menu button to have easy access to the folder.

    The iTunes Store keeps asking for Apple ID password on launch, and with every download, even when I am already logged in to the iTunes Store with my Apple ID. I am using iCloud, my iCloud account is set up on my iMac and I am using iCloud Keychain. My Apple ID password is stored in my Keychain. So why can't the iTunes Store remember me?

    Back up all data.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
    If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
    Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
    From the menu bar, select
    Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
    If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
    Select
    Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
    from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.

    Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443.     I have a Sonny Visio 64bit.
    For the last month my iTunes has been unable to connect to the iTune store, get updates make any connection at all.
    My computer is able to get on the internet and other programs do not have this issue.  But my I tune does not even acknowledge that my computer is even on the internet or has access. I have tried un-installing and re-installing iTunes but nothing has helped. Does anyone have any suggestions?
