I have a few dead pixels on my screen and it is annoying. Can I go to the Apple Store and get my iPod exchanged?

I received my iPhone 4S in the mail today and a few hours after I had been using it I noticed a tiny dot on the screen. At first I ignored it, thinking it would go away, but it hasn't. I searched what the problem was and found out it is a dead pixel. Like I said it's very small but it really bothers me every time I watch a video or take a picture. The warranty should cover it if it is a defect in manufacture. In any case, you are covered by the 30 day trial return period.

Take it to a service center and see what they say. It sounds like they would take care of it since I don't see how they could pass it off as abuse of the phone, but only Apple can say (we're just other users like you). They won't actually repair it but completely replace it with a refurbished unit, so make sure you have everything backed up.

The iPod's warranty doesn't cover user-caused damage any more than your car's warranty covers if you drive it into a tree. Any service will be at your own expense. Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further support from Apple will be void.

No. If the screen was cracked at the time of purchase you would have been expected to reject it at the time. Otherwise it is damage and not a manufacturing fault. Screens do not crack for no reason.

If you wreck your car does the dealer you bought it from fix or replace it? No they don't because that's what insurance is for.
Its the same thing with you iPod. If it doesn't work because it wasn't built right, or because some internal part was defective, then Apple will (under the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty and at their discression) repair or replace the device.
Additionally, just like a car dealer will not replace your tires, windshield wipers, or light bulbs at no charge, Apple is under no obligation to fix or replace your iPod because you failed to take proper care of it.

No. The warranty does not cover accidental damage.
Most Apple Stores in the US can replace the display on an iPhone 5 for $149 if that's the only damage there is. If there is actually more substantial damage, a replacement phone is $229.

- If you previously turned on the FIndMyiPod feature and location service is on, and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud, sign in, and go to FindMyiPhone. It the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

Do you have AppleCare+? Then the answer is yes, with a deductible.
If you don't have AppleCare+ or a third party warranty (like with Squaretrade), then no. Accidents aren't covered under Manufacturer Warranty.
