Does warranty cover this

My Ipod screen is popping out in the top left corner
the cameras cover is popping out
the aluminum is all scratched
and there is a scratch on my screen
does warranty cover all this?
and what will they do?

If you wreck your car does the dealer you bought it from fix or replace it?  No they don't because that's what insurance is for.
Its the same thing with you iPod.  If it doesn't work because it wasn't built right, or because some internal part was defective, then Apple will (under the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty and at their discression) repair or replace the device.
Additionally, just like a car dealer will not replace your tires, windshield wipers, or light bulbs at no charge, Apple is under no obligation to fix or replace your iPod because you failed to take proper care of it.

PS: I bought it on the USA, but currently living in Brazil . I guess though there is a apple store in the shopping mall.

Accidental damage is not covered by warranty. As to cost to fix, we can not say as we do not know what internal/external components were damaged. Take the computer to an authorized repair center for assessment and estimate to repair.

  • I have a crack in my rear-facing camera does the warranty cover this repair? It's about 5 months old.

If it was caused by a defect thenyes.  If caused by accidental damage like dropping then likely not. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and find out.
If it is only a cosment defect, the warranty does not cover it.

  • Does warranty cover water damage

does warranty cover iphone 5 water damage?

    Costs are:
    iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5: $269
    iPhone 4s: $199
    iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, Original iPhone: $149
These are for out-of-warranty replacements and I'm not 100% sure they'll apply in this situation. I believe they will, though.

  • My Ipoud touch has a rainbow screen, not dropped and no cracked screen, will 90 warranty cover this?

My Ipoud touch has a rainbow screen, not dropped and no cracked screen, will 90 warranty cover this?

If it's not damaged (water, fallen, etc.), you will have warranty if you bought it less than one year ago.
Visit your local Apple Store or Apple Premium Reseller to let them repair (actually replace, in most cases) your phone.

  • Does warranty covers this type of damage (iPod Shuffle)

So I've bought it less than a year ago, it's still under warranty, and this happened, and it wouldn't be a problem if from time to time it didn't open completely...
It works perfectly fine, sound is fine, don't have any software problems, battery life is great too, basically everything is as if it was new, but that... so anyway... does warranty covers this type of damage? (IMO it should since I've used it as it's supposed to be used, taking care of it, didn't use too much force on hinge or anything...)
And if warranty covers this type of damage, how?
    Replacement or service or neither?

NVM, my sister went by Apple store earlier today, they're going to replace it.

  • Does warranty cover cracked screen

Dropped iPod touch now screen is cracked does warranty cover it? If not how do I get screen fixed:/(((

The iPod's warranty doesn't cover user-caused damage any more than your car's warranty covers if you drive it into a tree. Any service will be at your own expense. Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further support from Apple will be void.
    Regards.

  • Does warranty cover for screen cracks?, does warranty cover for screen cracks?

Does warranty cover a cracked screen?

No.   If the screen was cracked at the time of purchase you would have been expected to reject it at the time.   Otherwise it is damage and not a manufacturing fault.   Screens do not crack for no reason.

    Hi fellas,
    I need your advice.
I bought my laptop past month and today my girlfriend dropped acetone on it. Fortunatelly it's still working but the cover and some keys are damaged and being so new It's painfull to see it in this way.
Somebody knows if the warrant can cover this damaged or I should contract the insurance?
If any of these possibilties are good, could I pay to the support to replace it cause I tried to find online de supplies but I couldn't find it.
Sorry cos english is not my native language.
    Thanks for your help

    >Somebody knows if the warrant can cover this damaged or I should contract the insurance?
No, warranty does not cover any damages causing by your own fault.
So if possible you will need to contact your insurance

  • Does Warranty cover MBPro 13 keyboard letters wearing off?

I purchased my MB Pro 13" Early 2011 as a refurb unit back in summer 2011 (not a year ago yet but getting close).  I use my notebook a lot but always look after it.  The "E" key has worn into a see-through white blob and the "A" key is not much better - most popular letters I'm sure.
Does anyone know if the Apple warranty would cover this?
    thanks,
    Derek

This would probably be considered normal wear and not covered
I wouldn't agree...  my mid-2010 MBP keyboard still looks almost new, despite the fact that I use it literally daily.  I do a lot of typing - web programming, writing informative articles and posts here, e-mail, etc.  I also do more gaming than I probably should (), and am not always gentle with the keyboard while gaming.  I do have an 8-year-old PowerBook G4 that has shown problems similar to what the OP describes for 2-3 years now (so, after about 5-6 years of use).
Of course, my opinion on the matter really couldn't matter any less.  What really matters is the opinion of the Apple tech who evaluates your case.
