Does weblogic 12c support beehive controls

Hi ,
we are migrating our weblogic server from 10.3 to 12C , i just import existing project into eclipse(Oracle enterprise pack for eclipse) came with weblogic 12C , it is showing errors on project for shared libraries like beehive controls , weblogic controls ,
Please let us know does WLS 12C support beehive controls ? do we have any solution for this
Regards
Srikanth

Apache Beehive is not supported on Weblogic 12c.
Apache Beehive has been deprecated as of WebLogic Server 10.3.
Oracle recommends that you migrate your Beehive applications and infrastructure to other frameworks such as Oracle's ADF or Java Server Faces at your earliest convenience.
Please check the below Doc and Page No. 16.

Hope this answers your question!!
Thanks,

  • Does WLS 10.3.6 not support beehive controls

I import projects with beehive controls to WLS 10.3.6, It shows that beehive control facet is not found.
Does 10.3.6 not support beehive controls? How to solve it?

    It does support.
Not sure from which version of WLS you are trying to migrate to WLS10.3.6
But, the composition of the JARs have been changed in WLS10.3.5 that could cause some "ClassNotFoundException" OR "NoClassDefFoundError" w.r.t beehive jars.
If those are the errors you were also experiencing, then please follow one of these options to resolve this issue:
    OPTION 1:
Identify all the JARs that contain the beehive classes and explicitly add the jar files to the classpath
    OPTION 2:
When you created the domain (if you used the Config Wizard), do you make it a "Workshop" domain? If not, try that.
That should deploy the Workshop framework (Beehive controls, NETUI, etc) libraries as shared libraries. Then these libraries should be referenced in your applications weblogic.xml and weblogic-application.xml.

  • Does Weblogic 10 supports HTTP/1.0..?

    Hi,
My application contains an executable client. This client when invoked calls a servlet in the server. This application is working fine in weblogic 6.1 sp3 now. Iam trying to migrate this application to weblogic 10. However, when I invoke the executable client, its not reaching the servlet. Then I found the following logged in the access logs.
    "152.67.221.214 - - [06/Sep/2007:22:47:09 -0700] "POST /invoke/wm.server/connect HTTP/1.0" 401 1518"
Note: I dont have the source code of the executable client..
    My doubts:
    Does weblogic supports HTTP/1.0...?
how to make this work without having the control over the client..?
Can we do something in server to make this work..?
Its evident from the access log, that the request is unauthorized...how to avoid with without touching the client..?
FYI, Its working fine in weblogic 6.1 sp3. Below is the log recorded in weblogic 6.1 sp3 access log.
    152.67.221.214 - - [06/Sep/2007:01:29:50 -0800] "POST http://appstg01:7031/invoke/wm.server/connect HTTP/1.0" 200 22
How to make this work in weblogic 10. I can modify only the servlet and not the executable client.
    Thanks in advance.

I understand that HTTP version has nothing to do with 401 code. Please let me know is there any way that we can avoid this without touching the client. Because the cleint is a executable to which we dont have access. We still have command over Weblogic server and servlet.
              Thnks.

  • Does OEM 12c supports for performing administration tasks on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.5 environment ??

    Hello Everyone,
I would like to start a discussion on the OEM 12c see if anyone has used for SOA Suite 10g. We are currently running on Oracle SOA Suite 10.1.3.5 we want to make use of OEM 12c for monitoring and perform administration activities. I have gone through some Oracle documents for OEM 12c,I found it's supported up to 10.1.3.4.However I am not so sure so I just wanted to clarify on this.
Can we install the client in  Oracle Application Server/SOA OC4J  container to perform any administration task, purging, patching, monitor interfaces etc.
I look forward to your valuable input and feedback on the discussion.
    Best Regards,

    Hi,
The zip p6511843_101330_Generic.zip contains a README.txt which explains the steps to be followed to apply this patch.
    In the README.txt
    Refer to Section2 point No.1.
Get the latest Opatch from metalink for bug 2617419.[this zip will contain a Opatch Directory].Extract this zip into your Oracle SOA home.[ex: C:/product/101.3.1/OracleAS_1]
Also make sure that the Opatch directory in set in the path.
Since we are running this Opatch on a Basic SOA installtion , you don't have to execute the changeNamesWindows.pl script[make sure that you have installed Basic version of SOA and not the Advanced].
This patch will not work on Advanced Install.
    You can directly excute
    opatch apply.
Follow the remaining steps mentioned in README.txt.
    Thanks

  • Does Weblogic Jndi support naming.event

    Hi gurus,
our app needs to be notified in case an object (already bound) has changed. or rebound into the jndi tree..
    i tried using javax.naming.event.*
    and the call to
    EventContext = (EventContext)(new InitialContext(env)).lookup("");
    gives me a ClassCastException...
    java.lang.ClassCastException: weblogic.jndi.toolkit.WLContextStub
    Any pointers..
I plan to use NamespaceChangeListener and ObjectChangeListener to get notified. didnt find any material in weblogic docs...
    thanks in Advance

As I know, WL does not implement directory events machinery. You should use
another mechanism to notify your app about JNDI changes. For example, you
can use any LDAP directory service to bind your objects to. In this case,
    directory events should work.

  • Does weblogic 704 support solaris on x86?

This is urgent and thanks in advance!

Hello, Pratap. Yesterday the location at which the WebLogic Portal engineering team is located (Colorado, USA) was hit by the biggest blizzard of the winter and the entire metropolitan area shut down. Imagine a direct hit from a typhoon but with snow instead of rain. I was stranded iin traffic for 8 hours yesterday. That is probably why nobody from the product team has answered.
WebLogic Portal is the best framework out there for building a Web 2.0 portal. It is a lot harder (and more valuable, IMO) to build a product that is a framework as opposed to a packaged app. WLP blows everything else out of the water when it comes to enabling you to build anything you want. Nothing else comes close to its flexibility, maturity/stability, and scalability. WebLogic Portal is not an application. I'm sure that there are going to be plenty of widgets available OOTB now that WebLogic Portal is part of a much bigger picture with the Oracle WebCenter Suite, so that will probably help with some of the expectations that you have of a portal product, but I'll let someone else speak to that.

  • Does GB 10 support any control surfaces?

If so, how do I set it up - - I am using a zoom R16 that emulates a mackie.

Well I guess I need to answer my own question - do I get points for that?
For $60 I decided to take a chance on the Korg NanoKONTROL2 and I just received it from Amazon. Downloaded/installed the KORG MIDI driver, then the GarageBand plug-in. Everything seems to work as it should with no messing around.
It is somewhat limited, but gives full transport control and volume/pan for 8 tracks along with buttons for Solo, Mute and Record on each track. The pan knobs feel a little wobbly, but not too bad. All things considered, it looks and feels like a decent piece of hardware considering the low cost.
Maybe this will help someone else who is getting tired of using the mouse and keyboard shortcuts to control basic Garageband functions.

  • Does Weblogic Express support JSP ?

    Hi
I wanted to know if i can deploy JSPs if i use a WeblogicExpress instead
of a Weblogic Server .Iam not able to understand the deifference between
Weblogic Express and Weblogic Server inspite of reading the material on the
web site .Can someone throw more light on this ? Is there anywhere i can
compare the features of the different weblogic products at one place ?
    thanks

For this type of stuff you should talk to your sales-person.
We just make it, not sell it, so we dont understand the difference
    either. :)

No, but you can create a custom CertPath provider for your own implementation.

  • Does WebLogic 6.1 support client mode of MQ ?

I know WebLogic 6.1 is not supported yet. But we're still using it and plan to upgrade.
AS-IS: WebLogic 6.1sp1 and IBM MQSeries 5.2 now. (using binding mode and XA)
TO-BE: WebLogic 10 and WebSphere MQ 6.02 (using client mode and XA)
We plan to upgrade MQ first, so, we need to know could WebLogic 6 supports to use client mode and XA with MQ 6.0. I only know WebLogic 8.1 is ok, but I cannot find document for WebLogic 6.
btw, is there any suggestion for this upgrade ?

    Hi,
I can think of a few things worth noting:
              (A) I don't recall there being any specific support for MQ XA in 6.1SP1 - not even in MDBs. I think its likely that your current app just calls the MQ APIs directly and manually enlists MQ with the current transaction. This is all outside of WebLogic's control and will still work. (See the interop FAQ link below for an explanation of manual enlistment.)
              (B) Since 6.0, we've added a significant set of features to aid with foreign JMS vendor integration, particularly in the area of transparent XA integration, and we've also upgraded WebLogic JMS in general. These three links are probably a good place to get started if you care to review them:
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/jms/interop.html
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/jms_admin/intro.html#jms_features
              http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs100/messaging.html
              (C) Very recently, I've heard that there have been some problems integrating WebLogic with MQ 6.0's "JMS 1.1 specification only" jars. These problems are being addressed or already have been addressed in newer releases but I doubt they've been looked at for version 6.0. Since its likely you're not planning to use the JMS 1.1 APIs in the very near term, I think this should not be a problem for you - you can just make sure to use MQ 6.0's JMS 1.0.2 jars.
              Hope this helps,
              Tom
