DOES WORKFLOW 2.6 REQUIRE ORACLE ACCOUNTS FOR USERS?

We would like to integrate Oracle Workflow with our existing implementation of Oracle Portal. I was hoping that, by using OID accounts and groups, that SSO could be used to access whatever workflow functionality was required by our users WITHOUT also creating an Oracle account for each of these users.
IS THIS FEASIBLE?

There might be some configuration required, but this should work. Workflow only requires the Oracle HTTP Server + ModPLSQL to render screens.
The Oracle Plug In for Microsoft IIS is available for Windows NT and Windows 2000.
To quote the Configuration Guide:
Oracle Plug-in for Microsoft IIS enables you to use Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), the Web server included with Windows NT, to directly access PL/SQL and Java Web components stored in the Oracle database server. This plug-in provides a fast and integrated method of accessing PL/SQL and Java Web components running in the IIS environment. Oracle Plug-in for Microsoft IIS provides functionality similar to Apache's PL/SQL Gateway (mod_plsql) and Apache's mod_ose in the IIS environment.

if not can Oralce 9ias be installed on the same server where IIS is currently installed.

There is no concept of a "corperate account" for FormsCentral, each user would have their own subscription. The closest we've had was something called "Team Admin" where you could purchase a pack of subscriptions under one users name and they could administer those accounts granting access to other users. The Team Admin method of purchase is no longer available but it is possible your company purchased a Team Admin account.
Do you know what email address would have been used if a Team Admin account was purchased? There would be one "master" account.

In general, only SAP partner can get the license key. However, partner can assign the right to customer so that they can get it from portal directly.

Not exactly, but you can do some of this at http://portalstudio.oracle.com like (testing your portlets). It might be a helpful resource for you too.
Portal is a rather easy setup too if you have a system with at least 1.5 GB of RAM where you can install the infrastructure & middle-tiers on a single system. But I'd still look at this site to see if it has resources that help you with your Portal development.

Every cess/tax will require one GL account against it.
So in your case 3+3 different GL accounts for sales & purchases.

What are required Oracle products for moving data from IBM IMS/DB(mainframe) to Oracle environment?

I am z/OS system programmer, our company is using IMS as its main OLTP database. We are investigating moving data off the mainframe for data warehousing and online fraud detection. One option is using IBM InfoSphere CDC and DB2, another option is using IMS connect and writing our own program, I am wondering what is the oracle solution for this kind of issue?
I am not oracle technician but I googled and find out Oracle has some product like Oracle Legacy Adapters, OracleAS CDC Adapter and Oracle Connect on z/OS, however I didn't find them in Oracle site(https://edelivery.oracle.com/), I don't know whether these products are deprecated or not?!

I've considered dumping the data into a flat file and using SQL*Loader to import as you suggest but this would require some scripting on a per-table basis. Again: all I want to do is to copy the contents of a table from one database to another. I do not think I should have to resort to creating my own dump and load scripts in order to do that. However I agree with you that this type of solution may be my final solution.
I've tried the db link solution. It was just a slow as the 'imp' solution for some reason. Don't know why. The tables are rather large (3 tables of a few Gb each) and therefore require intermediate commits when loaded. Otherwise the rollback segment will run out of space. So the 'db link solution' is really a PL/SQL script with a commit for each x records.
I think Oracle is making it a bit difficult for me to copy the contents of a table from one database to another and to do it efficiently. Perhaps I'm missing something here?

Create FTP account for user in Solaris 10

I am new to Solaris and I need to create a n FTP account so user can have access to certain folder ie /opt/www/docs/newfiles/ (only for upload or download).
user should not be able to go up the defined folder and have access to upper folders.
I tried # useradd -d /opt/www/docs/newfiles/ testuser and then # passwd testuser but this user can navigate up and also can telnet to server.
Please help me to fix the problem. I may not even doing the right thing.

You can configure the /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess file, to do that, an a lot of things more.
Check ftpaccess man page.
Don´t forget restart your ftp service when you made changes to this file.
For example, modify the following lines, previos backup of the file:

passwd entry is divided into two directories. The first
field is the root directory that will be the argument to

Check for permission capabilities.

IN the sales invoice i am creating the user difined field
for manual tax( i.e manual tax the customer how much tax amount he will give that much amount he will feed in that field )in the row level and i want to assign the g/l account for that user defined field

Do you want the G/L account input automatically or manually ? if manually try to use this query FMS:
SELECT T0.[AcctCode], T0.[AcctName] FROM OACT T0
In the UDF, just press shift+F2 and select the account code you want to input.

The 3GS can be updated to iOS 6.1.2 and that iOS has Arabic as one of the keyboard languages but I do not see Arabic as one of the languages for userinterface but there are some I cant read so I cant be sure. You could check by going to settings/general/international then languages

Intel AppUp store requires PayPal account for FREE applications

We've submitted our new application for approval on Wednesday but in attempting to include a request to have it listed on the Intel AppUp store, I find that we are required to have a PayPal account. Our corporation does not have one and I'm unclear why this would be needed for a FREE application.
Please help.

This is a bug in our system and would be fixed. You should submit your free app with a dummy paypal ID and it should work.

There is no cost involved unless you then purchase something. The iTunes Store uses credit-card billing information to verify that you are a resident of the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use. This is required by the content owners who, for a number of reasons, do not allow cross-border sales.
If you had an existing account, created either just for the free apps or with a prepaid iTunes card or gift certificate, just go through the verification steps to confirm your address and you should be fine.

Does Keynote-exported QuickTime require QT Pro for playback?

I've got a Keynote slideshow project exported as a QuickTime h.264 project with a few embedded videos. It works great in the QT7 player on my machine, but then again, I have QT Pro.
I have to show it to someone else on their Mac, though, and they don't have QT Pro (probably only have QT X, too). Will I be able to run it on their machine?

Other users only need QT Player 7 to playback QT files .
QT Pro enables editing and exporting functions, it has no additional effect on playback.
