Does Your Exchange Calendar Currently Show Events More Than 2 Weeks Old?

Quick question: Can you view any exchange calendar items on your Pre which you have created on your desktop and which are more than two weeks old as you read this post? I can't. After several hours of support chat and then an "elevation" to phone support, I was told by Palm telephone support that this was a new feature after Webos 1.2.1.
However, two things make me doubt that this is true:
1) Other Pre users on precentral.net report that they have installed 1.2.1 and they can still see exchange calendar events older than two weeks.
2) I noticed something really weird: I had deleted my exchange account and was re-adding it in an attempt to solve the problem. The account was syncing but I was watching my screen and it was displaying the monthly view of September, 2009. When the account was almost done syncing, I saw the calendar "flicker" a couple of times and when it did, I could see that there were all my grayed out September dates. Then it said that sync was complete and all events before 9/30/09 disappeared.
SO...I'm thinking that the data is actually in the phone but just not displaying on the calendar! That is really weird and would seem to be a true "bug" to me. For my job, I really need to be able to look back and verify what appointments occurred on what dates in the past. The Iphone and Blackberry users at my office that use the same exchange server can look back months and years at their old events.
If you are reading this could you please reply to let me know if this is a unique issue for me or whether others are having the same experience? I'd really appreciate it.

Very similar issue here. I am syncing my Pre with Google Mail. Don't even ASK what a hassle it was to get my Entourage contacts into Gmail and have everything populate the correct fields. A freakin' NIGHTMARE.
That said, the syncing with synergy seems to work well, with one major drawback. No calendar entries older than two months. This renders my calendar virtually useless. What is the POINT of this stupidity. I am perfectly capable of deciding if I want to use my pre's storage for older entries.
Unbelievable. I really hope palm gets it's head in gear and starts supporting its loyal users. Much more of this, and I will jump to virtually ANY other smart phone.

ICal for iPad not showing events more than 2 years in future in Year view

As the subject describes, I can create an appointment more than 2 years into the future. On my Mac and iPhone I can see the event using any view. It is also visible in all views on my iPad, except for the year view. A feature?

Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.
Then reboot your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I've also had a few strange errors while making iOS apps - odd popup errors 'like the ones your getting' would appear saying something unrelated to the real issue.
Take another look over your code around the area where you think the error happens, I had a left over 'playdone' command copied across from a large block of code (very sloppy) - anyway it cause the same type of problem
I find It's better to go off the error messages from your dir code on the mac - then the iOS projector errors.

How to search event more than 1 year ago in Iphone calendar?

Everytime I forgot events in the past, let say more than 1 year ago, I always search in calendar outlook. But I cannot find it in Iphone. Anyone know how to solve this?

I just tested mine, and you are right. While I generally only sync and have the restriction in iTunes set for calendar not to sync more than 30 days, I found a recurring birthday event and it would only return the event in search to 2009. I never knew that. I guess we could provide feedback to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feeback/iphone.html

I have songs from icloud showing on more than one device but only want them on one so how do i delete them

That's correct - it only deletes them from your phone, not from iCloud
If you go into Settings, Music and set Show All Music to Off, you will only see the songs that are actually on the phone.
One other tip - once you've deleted the songs/lists you no longer want, restart the phone (hold the Home and Sleep buttons for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears) to make sure the songs are gone.

Albums Showing up more than Once

I have two albums that are showing up more than once, and the album is only on the i pod once, and it is only under the "album" section. I have already restored the i pod and re put every back on the i pod. Does anyone one know how to fix it?

Repeat albums are normally caused by minor spelling differences or the presence of guest artist information in the artist field. Select all the tracks of the album and get info (CTRL-I for Windows, OPTION-I for Mac). Check that you have values for all the fields you think should be the same across the album, particularly *Album Artist*, *Album Title* and, if no guest artists are listed, Artist. If you have guest artists you can either move this information into the track title, e.g. append *(Feat. Guest)* or change the *Sort Artist* of each affected track to the value of the *Album Artist*.

N79 showing no more than 92 SIM Contacts after lat...

After I've updated my N79 to the latest firmware 30.019 I found that its showing no more than 92 contacts from my SIM card (about 240 contacts), and as I store all the contacts on it then I have no option but finding a way or another to store all of them on the phone ... I'm not pleased by this as i try to put all the contacts on the SIM in case of empty battery of something like that.
Please anyone have the same problem or anyone have an idea about how to fix it.
Note: I've tried to reupdate it via NSU and to do a hard reset but in vain

I am facing the same problem after updating to 30.019 my N79 was displaying only 91 contacts while in the contacs info its was showing 206 contacts on sim.
I have resolved this problem using following steps
1 Take backup of all phone contacts using the OVI after successful backup.
3 Change contact setting to display only phone contacts
4.Delete all contacts from the phone. Now ther are only 91 (actual 206) contacts from sim and 0 from phone.
5.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
6.Copy these 91 contacts to phone and delete these 91 contacts from the sim.
7.Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts.
7.Reboot the phone now phone is showing next 91 contacts from sim and 91 copied contacts from the phone (actual no may differ depsnding upon the actual contacts in the sim).
8.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
9.Copy these 91 contacts to phone and delete these 91 contacts from the sim.
10.Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts.
11.Reboot the phone now phone is showing next 24 (206 - (91 + 91)) contacts from sim and 182 (91 +91) copied contacts from the phone (actual no may differ depsnding upon the actual contacts in the sim).
12.Change contact setting to display sim contacts.
13.Copy these 24 contacts to phone and delete these 24 contacts from the sim.

13 go to contacts marl all contacts and copy to sim. now there are 206 contacts on sim and 206 on phone.
14 Change contact setting to display phone contacts.
15 Delete all 206 contacts.
16 Change contact setting to display phone and sim contacts. Now there are 206 contacts from sim (in the contacts info 206 and actual displaying 206).
17 connect mobile to pc and restore oroginal phone contacts (back up in the step 1) using ovi suite.
After this you will have all your phone and sim contacts.

How many photos do you have? PSE can handle a very large number, if you have then well organised.

Calendar not showing events in spesific views

Some of the iOS users in my organization reported back to me that calender events that covers more than 1 Day only shows the event on the first day. (except on whole day events) while using the Month or Year view.
This bug is verifed on serveral iPads running the last iOS software(inkluding my own). I have tested both with our Exchange and iCloud calendar.
Example: One event starts 9am monday and ends 4pm on friday.
Both week and year Calender view will only show the event on monday, but no event thirsday to friday.
Is this a known bug?

I would suggest two things, one small and one bigger.
1st, try quitting iCal, then deleting iCal preferences in your User Library: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist
If that doesn't solve the problem, Back up Database (File menu). Export each calendar. Delete each calendar. Then import the ones you exported.
Note: Actually iCal won't let you delete all of them (it has to have at least one) so just rename one so you can delete it later.

Probably because of the GUIDs. When you upgrade or change hardware this tends to happen, especially on PCs.

Synching all calendar events (more than 8 weeks in the future)

How can I do this? I am trying to synchronize to a SonyEricsson K750i phone and I would like all my calender on it (which has entries more than a year in advance). Why is there an 8 week limitation? Can I override this somehow?

I too have now joined the growingl list of people who is frustrated at isyncs inability to sync beyond the 8 week limit. I've e mailed the team at Apple who won't reply but will hopefully read it and at least think about addressing the issue.
I f any one out there has a solution to this, please let me know!
