Does your iTunes App Store keep shutting down?

I have tried everything support had to offer, and I have narrowed the problem down to the processor getting overloaded by the iTunes App store. So far I have been given no fix.It does this with(1)The latest update, and (2) Stripped down to the Native Apps(3)Yes ,I have rebooted it,reset, restored.I have been using Apple Slice and other App search engines with success.Still it bugs me I can only use this Native App for about 5 minutes before I find myself suddenly back to the Home Screen. It also aggravates me that it doesnt Bookmark.I can find myself scrolling back through bunches of pages just to get back where I was, only to have it shut down again.
I have been hoping someone has found a fix, since this has been going on for nearly a year.It has been suggested the core of the problem may be that my iPad is a first generation and cant handle all the new bloat in the iTunes Store. Its in perfectly good shape and still has tons of memory (I only use about 1/3 of its 64GB) ,so it seems way too wasteful to retire it.

Try these steps as needed:
1. Double tab the home button to show the recently opened apps.  Find the iTunes Store app and slide the preview window (not the icon) upward to close.
2. Reset phone (no data loss): Press both the home and power buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears
3. Restore the iOS in iTunes, also restoring a backup
4. Restore the iOS in iTunes as new (no backup_

  • Why does my 2009 27" imac keep shutting down?

why does my 2009 27" imac keep shutting down?

Could, also, be failing hard drive , power supply or logic board.
You may have to make an appointment and take your iMac in to Apple or Apple authorized repair center for diagnostics and a repair estimate.
If your iMac has a 1 TB internal hard drive, it maybe a Seagate drive and maybe eligible for free replacement under the Apple Seagate 1 TB internal hard drive replacement program.
If you can get your iMac running, you need to backup all of your data ASAP!. Either backup to optical disc, flash drive/s or purchase an external hard drive for backup. You can use a data cloning program such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper to make an exact copy of your iMac's internal hard drive.
You can check for eligibility for free hard drive replacement by inputting your iMac's serial number here.

  • Why does my Iomega and WD keep shutting down?

why does my Iomega and WD keep shutting down?

Was gonna reply "cause they are unremitting pieces of crap" (got two Iomega NAS boxes out for repairs as we speak), but I'll bite anyway....
Care to provide more information as to what troubles you? The description you have provided isn't exactly rich in details, don't you think? And my telepathic thinking cap is also out of order at the time....

  • App's keeping shutting down!

Hi, does anyone know why my software, especially Safari and Masque (cards game for the iMAC), keep shutting down when I am in the middle of using them? I have updated Safari several times.  I have updated Leopard.  I even installed Firefox as an alternative browser and it sometimes shuts down while I am using it!
First, the program freezes, then it shuts down.  A screen comes up to gather info about the problem.  Then a different screen comes up to send the info to Apple.  This has been going on for almost a year.  It happens every day, sometimes more than once a day.

you might want to run a ram test on your iMac. Here is the info on how to do it...

  • Why does my iTunes / App store go to the German version when I travel in Austria?

Since I updated to iOS 6 my iTunes Store and App Store are both going directly to the Austrian stores.  I am in Austria at the moment travelling. But how come I can't change back the Canadian stores?  I think someone dropped the ball on this one.

No, go to "settings", "iTunes & App Stores" click on your "Apple ID:" should be some type of email address. Then hit "View Apple ID". Once you sign in w/ your password, hit "country or region" (even if it already shows the correct country) your basically reverifying. I'm guessing since you updated while on vacation your locations services were on thats why it changed countries. Anyway follow the steps update your payment info (you will only need the security code for your debit/credit card if it stayed the same). And you should be good!
    Good Luck !

  • Why does my iPad ( 1st generation) keep shutting down

Does anyone have any ideas why my iPad (1st generation) keep closing down and what I need to do to rectify it?

    Pam-
It could be that the battery charge indicator is showing 100 percent when you actually have almost no charge left.  In case that is the problem, leave your iPad connected to its wall charger overnight, and see if that helps.
One other thing to try, is to reset (reboot) your iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes solves mysterious problems.

  • Why does my i pad 2 keep shutting down or freezing?

I recieived my i pad 2 3 days ago and it keeps either freezing or shutting down in the middle of something.  Why is this happening? Can I adjust something to stop this?

In addition to KP's advice there are a couple of other basic things to try.
    Quitting open/running/recent apps
Quit apps by double tapping the home button to bring up the multitasking/recents tray at the bottom, hold down on any of the app icons in the tray until all the icons wiggle, then tap the minus sign in the corner to quit/close the apps.
    Then restart the iPad
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears. See if this helps.

  • Why does my intel imac (2008) keep shutting down?

Imac recently started shutting down. no new hardware/software additions. Happens randomly, sometimes on start-up. Any ideas?

    From: Eustace Mendis
    Sounds like a Broken Drive...
Most of the times this will be solved with a HardDrive Replacement
    although,
    you could try this
Restart your Mac and hold down the Command key and the R key (Command-R).
Keep holding these keys until the Apple icon appears.
This indicates that your Mac is starting up.
After the Recovery System is finished starting up,
you should see a desktop with an OS X menu bar and a "Mac OS X Utilities" window.
After you do this, select Disk Utility and run it.
    On the next screen,
Select the hard drive in the left hand column,
the First Aid tab on the top, and click on Reparid Disk. (bottom left)
When that is done, click on Repair Permissions.
When that is done, quit Disk Utility and restart.

IIs your iPad actually shutting down (powering off and needed a restart) or is it crashing to the home screen?

  • ITunes App Store keep on saying the server has an errors. However, it keeps deducting my cash every single time I try to download the application. And right now, I still can't download any application. How can I finx this problem?

As the topic mentioned. Is it the problem from server or my computer problem?

I am having the exact same problem.  I can't check anything on my account, and when I tried to download an app, it didn't download, but it deducted from the balance on my itunes account.  I tried to download the app twice before discovering that it deducted from the account, so now I'm down six dollars but not up any apps!

  • ITunes App Store keeps asking to agree to terms. Repeats over n over. Can't download

    See above

I fixed my problem hope it works for you too.
I had to update itunes to the 10.7.  But just clicking update didn't work.
I had to download a whole new itunes, but by default it upgraded the old one.
After the new download I went back in to update my apps. When I clicked on the one individual app to update, instead of looping me back to the terms & agreement page as it was doing before. This time it looped me back to the update apps page.
So I tied the "upload all apps" button, and that is what finally worked for me.
btw, I had tried the "upload all apps" button previously however it was also looping back to the terms & agreement page. (The original problem).  After the itunes update this button worked.
All in All itunes seems very "buggie". I don't know if it's the ios6 or not.
You could probably just download the updated itunes from anywhere.
But just to let you know I went through the "help" tab on itunes.  First I clicked on "check for updates" then I clicked on "diagnostic" and ran a diagnostic check which, then asked if I was running the current version and offered a link to the new version and that is what I used to download the new version.
Those extra steps might give you some more piece of mind.
    Hope it works, good luck.
