Does your Muvo Slim have this probl

When I have finished file transfer with my Muvo Slim, and disconnect the USB cable, sometimes ( out of every 3 times) the Slim will turn itself OFF (blank screen) and SOMETIMES it will turn itself on (the Creative logo displays, and then it starts to play a track.)
Has anybody else experienced any this erratic behavior?
Or, when you disconnect the USB cable, does your Slim always turn itself off, OR always turn itself on?
I contacted Tech Support, and they said I may have a faulty unit, and I am curious to see if this is happening with anyone else.
Incidentally, I am using the latest firmware version ..03.

Does your iPad 3 have a yellow hue?

Just got my iPad 3 set up. I had original iPad, iPad 2 to compare. Screen on iPad 3 has a noticeable yellow hue. Does yours?

I ordered an AT&T and a Verizon iPad 3 because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. By the time I got them, I decided I wanted to go with Verizon.
However, the displays on the two iPads were significantly different. The Verizon iPad was yellowish, and the AT&T IPad is bright white and gorgeous. Side by side, there's definitely a difference.
I exchanged the Verizon one for another one -- it was also yellowish.So I'm going to keep the AT&T one and return the Verizon one.
I asked a friend who works at Apple, and he said they are probably made in different factories. Also, I heard that there are multiple manufacturers of those retina displays, so that might be another reason. The guy at the apple store said, (and I quote), "Well, they're not all going to be identical." I don't know if I expected identical, but for $903.76 I expect it to be a lot closer. If I wanted something marginal, I'd buy a $200 tablet, right? (Note: Even my Kindle Fire is brighter than the Verizon iPad).
I'm not sure I would have noticed if I hadn't seen the bright white one, so I'm glad I did. It's disappointing that I have to keep the AT&T one instead of the Verizon one, but I read more than I'm going to use a data plan, so it's more important to get the right display.

What two countries are you living in? Are certain apps you have downloaded in one country not available in the other? The only solution I can see is to start new with a new apple ID or you can use one of e two you currently have. What do you mean "And now to boot I am unable to buy anymore apps as I appear to always be on the wrong country." This could be a problem with the firmware in which a restore may be necessary. Does Your Trackpad Ever Do This Very Annoying Thing?

My cursor sometimes behaves as if I have the trackpad's button pressed down, when I don't. So for instance, I will simply move the cursor and it will drag a window, or highlight text, a move a link from one place to another, without me even holding down the trackpad. This is incredibly frustrating. Does anybody know how I can make it behave normally again? It seems to be a matter of luck at the moment.

Under syst preference see trackpad options. Look at the *One Finger* options you have checked. Hope this solves your problem.

Design flaw in blackberry pearl 8220 audio (voice) - does every phone shipped have this problem?

have a new blackberry 8820 pearl that I am happy with.
The phone does have one big problem. hearing a person over the phone (i.e.. The top speaker embedded in the flip not the microphone in the phone case proper).
When someone raises their voice a little during conversation the phone distorts the incoming audio (it makes a tinny sound like when a speaker distorts when it is overloaded and yes I am using default volume and have tried it on all volume levels... The phone speaker still distorts incoming voice).
Also called a few numbers and got several people's voicemail announcement... Because people raise their voice just a little bit when they put in their voice mail announcement the phone always distorts the voicemail greeting.
Moved my sim card to a Motorola razor v8. everything is crystal clear hearing and speaking. your blackberry pearl flip has a hardware or firmware design flaw... It distorts incoming conversation based on how the person is speaking not just when they are talking with a strong clear voice... But when the incoming speech volume is raised slightly!.
I asked tmobile to send me a new phone. they did and the new phone does the same thing (i.e.. The handset speaker). the speaker phone function works just fine and does not distort conversation.
Is this a problem with a certain production run on the phone or does it happen with every blackberry pearl flip 8220?
since the Motorola razor works fine under the same conditions with <no> distortion figured it may be design flaw going to production on the phone. But thought I would ask anyway.. In case this problem has been solved by development in-house.
Please pass this message to engineering and the product line manager responsible for the blackberry flip 8220. I know if I was a product manager I wouldn't want to go to market with a phone that distorts audio. you guys should have checked the competition (Motorola and other windows CE phones to make sure the audio on the blackberry pearl is as good or better than the competition).
Hope this helps. please pass this forward and see what engineering and product management says. if its a general design flaw it would be good to know. just wanted my new blackberry (which I like) to work just as good as my Motorola razor. both are good phones but the audio handset speaker distortion is somewhat of a pain.

Does the Blackberry Curve have this security feature?????

I have had a number of cellphones in my day, all with modest security features. Then I came across a Samsung phone...This phone allowed me to lock down everything, to the point that if someone turned the phone off and turned it back on it was still locked, but I digress.
I know have purchased the BBerry 8330. I have tinkered around within the security setting and I am not that happy. I want to be able to restrict incoming and outgoing calls. At present, if the phone is "locked" a call will still show and it will still be able to be answered which in my estimation defeats the purpose of locking the phone. Can anyone help me?

when I turn my Curve off (red button) then turn it on, I can't use the phone unless I type the 4 digits code. Until I do so, there is no network coverage, meaning I can't answer a call because the call never reaches my device.
If you don't have that, please check the security options :
home screen >> options >> Advanced options >> SIM card
then open the menu and set the security.

It's been almost 36 hours since i put it on, yet the adhesive grains and haze which were supposed to disappear have not. anyone else go through this? i promise this is not dust or scratches below if that's what it appears to be.

I installed mine 24 hours ago, and mine came out perfect. I followed the instructions to the letter. I did re-install the front 5 times though! (Dust on two installs, alignment on others)
Looks like it could have been due to two possible issues:
1. Not enough soapy water on the sticky side of the shield during install. Was it soaked well, & were you able to slide it around when first applied?
2. Not enough credit card squeegee action.
I think it is number 1 though.

Does your Magsafe Adapter Do This?

Quick question. Maybe I'm just getting senile, but I don't remember my Magsafe adapter ever doing this before, so I thought I'd ask if someone could test theirs out and let me know. Obviously, when the adapter is plugged into the laptop (and of course plugged into an outlet), the indicator light glows either autumn or green, depending on the charge status. If you unplug the adapter FROM THE LAPTOP, does the light stay on? I thought as soon as I unplugged the plug from the laptop, the light would go off? However, now it stays on in an autumn color.
It appears the computer is charging fine, but I don't remember this ever happening, and want to ensure it is not signaling some sort of a short? Thank you!

the magsafe indicator light will stay on for a bit after unplugged but will then go off. It's probably a faultly magsafe, so take it to an apple store for them to have a look at.

Logic Pro "nodes": Does Final Cut Pro have this feature?

Let me first say that I'm a film music composer and mainly use Apple Logic Pro, so please bare with me. However, I'm working on a current project where I get to do some editing with FCP, and have a quick question.
In Logic Pro, there is an option to hook up multiple computers via ethernet and use their processors to help process Logic plugins. This is done through installing a program called "Logic nodes," and whenever the secondary computer is running this program, I can assign specific tracks of audio effects to be "farmed out" to the "node" computer, freeing up my main CPU for other plugins. Keep in mind this is all done in real time within Logic itself! WAY COOL!
Is such a feature is available for FCP for rendering while editing? I believe you are able to farm out rendering with "compressor," but is there a way to do this for "real time playback/editing" within FCP itself?

Why does my Photos folder have this inside?

So, to cut this short, I plugged my iPod in today and BAM! 6 Local Disks. What are these in my photos file? I ran a virus scan in there and no negative results were returned. Any help would be highly appreciated Thanks!

Yeah, everything is functioning/syncing normally but no luck for the six local disk folders after soft reset, they're all still there . I have just realised that yesterday I cropped six photos on the iPod, which normally my computer doesn't like it and always thinks the photos are slightly corrupted because of it, could it be anything to do with this?

I will hit a topic in these new discussions and half the time Safari comes back with it cannot load the page because it couldn't find the info on the server.
Then, I rehit it and it loads. Is anyone else having this problem?
It also seems like just trying to get around takes 2 times as long as it used to.

Why is my new Macbook pro not reading my iphone 3GS device but my Windows desktop does not seem to have this problem?

Whenever I plug my iphone 3GS into my windows PC I have no problem syncing and backing up my apps etc but whenever I plug it into my new macbook pro, it simply cannot read my device at all and everything is fully updated. Help please. Thank you

I cannot recall the DVD player ever being a place to "store" videos - it is simply an app to play videos.
If your machine is new, then iMovie should be included as the "shrunk" version of iLife is included with Lion (iMovie, Garageband, and iPhoto). However, iMovie is not a place to store videos either - it is a video editor. You import your clips and edit them in order to then burn to a DVD or share via a social media site.
Have you considered simply dragging the clips to your folder "Movies"? That would be a great place to just store them (please be aware that videos are usually large files, so keep your hard drive space in mind so you keep a minimum free and available for the OS to operate properly):

Firefox used to have an option on the navigation bar next to the back/forward buttons that showed navigation history - I could go back ten screens w/o hitting the back button ten times. Does the new version have this feature? If so, how do I enable it?

It was a triangle button that provided a drop-down menu of my most recent navigation history within a site. Very convenient, esp for slide shows if I wanted to return to a slide that was 10-12 slides back.

Firefox still has this feature, you just click and hold the back button or the forward button, depending on whether you want to go back or forward.

When scrolling I get this weird wavy thing that is hard to look at. It looks like the waves above a barbeque or heat waves rising off the pavement on a hot day. Does anyone out there have this issue?

The "heat wave" on the screen happens when scrolling. It is driving me nuts!!!
