Doesn't changes in one sequence appear in another sequence?

I might be wrong here, but isn't a change done in one sequence supposed to appear automatically in another sequence which uses the changed sequence?
I just added a mask in sequence A, and thought that this mask would then appear in sequence B (which is made up of multiple sequence A's), but it didn't...
Am I doing something wrong? is there a setting I've missed? what gives???
cheers

If there are any colored lines above the sequence you can Option-R and that should render everything.
If you aren't showing any lines then go to Tools Render Manager (I think) and delete the renders for that sequence. You'll have to render out the whole thing again. But that's not too bad.
Good luck,
CaptM

  • Replicate changes from one SAP System to another

I have a requirement in which I have done some changes in one SAP System and it is not getting reflected to the other one. Please note that the SAP System which I am refering to is the one we get from SM51 Transaction code. Please note that the SAP System ID and the client is the same.

  • Why do a change from one OSX version to another OSX version?

It seems to me that Mavericks OSX is NOT an upgrade.  It seems like it is a side-grade since I would still be using OSX, just a side to side change….  The first response noted that some people  have difficulty with iPhoto after doing a side to side change to Maverick.  I use iPhoto all the time, don't want any problems with that… and another said that the Time Machine backup no longer worked after the change from OSX (Mountain Lion_ to OSX Mavericks)…  That is my backup program and I certainly don't want any problems with that.  So my ? remains…. why do a side to side change from one OSX to another OSX version???  The answers received are not answering that ?.
Your replys and comments are appreciated.

    The reasons for upgrading are:
    - Security (there are a myriad of behind-the-scenes security improvements, and some foreground improvements in programs and system services)
    - Service compatibility (ie, syncing services like iCloud)
    - Application Compatibility (as programs develop, they will drop support for prior versions of OS X).
    - Latest and greatest features, if you find them useful.
    - Hardware compatibility, with peripheral devices that may no longer support an older version of OS X.
OS X is not just "OS X" with a bunch of peripheral changes to it. There are a number of under the hood enhancements and changes that have fundamentally altered the OS from one version to the next over the years, be it from the kernel all the way through how accounts are handled, to how background services are run and otherwise managed. Granted from one version to the next is sometimes not as significant of an upgrade, but for the most part there are significant changes. In OS X Mavericks, Apple has added major changes to memory and process management, which offer potential to greatly increase battery life, and/or reduce power consumption and wasted CPU cycles.
Of course, with any upgrade you will get the potential for drawbacks, such as initial break-in hiccups.

  • Reflecting changes from one production DB to another production DB

    Hi,
I have a central production database(A) and 3 other small production databases(B,C,D).I need to copy all the changes which occur in B,C and D into A every day. What will you suggest is the best way to do so?Just a thought ,can we do export/import between B-A,C-A,D-A or should we do a export/import into the test database for A and then another export/imp onto the main production database A.
Any guidance on this will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Somd

There are several ways to implement this, depending on your database edition (Standard or Enterprise) and version.
You can use streams, replication, and home-made solutions of different flavors: using dblinks, expdp/impdp, etc.
The tables on B,C,D are not modified on A ?.
The data to be extracted from B,C,D is unique in all databases or you will need to decide between many similar records (by pk) which is the valid one to insert into A and discard the others ?
Supposing the simplest scenario, where your application is sharding data across different databases (which makes them unique globally) and it is a small set of records every day, and you want to copy manually that data to A, then could be valid to do an export from each database B,C,D and then load each one into A, because you won't have conflicts with the data to be loaded.
As you can see, the solution will depend on the complexity of your scenario.
You can find on OTN a good guide to data replication: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/features/data-integration/default-159085.html

I think the question has all the details... its very irritating that when you are trying to read content of one website in multi tabs in a single window but the new links opened randomly opens in another window

Hi Sriraam, you can customize how links are opened whether to a new window or a new tab. Here's how:
    # Click the '''Firefox''' button and select '''Preferences'''
    # Under '''Tabs''', make sure the '''Open new windows in a new tab instead''' option is checked
Details about these can be found in [[Options window - Tabs panel]]. And more about [[Tabbed browsing]].

  • IMs from chat with one contact appeared on another...

A strange thing happened this morning. I was instant messaging a friend on Skype whilst in the same office as a colleague. About half an hour after the chat with my friend had finished, my colleague logged onto Skype and a chat window with me instantly opened, displaying a dozen messages from the chat between my friend and I. He didn't receive the entire conversation, only some of the messages, and they were all attributed to me, even though my friend had written some of them. When he responded, his message started a new, private chat with me, rather than appearing in the chat with my friend.
He wasn't part of the original chat and we've tried all kinds of ways to replicate the error so I'm wondering how and why this could have happened? I use Skype a lot for work and am now concerned about it happening again with other colleagues with more sensitive conversations.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

This has just happened to me as well, although the messages stretch back over the last month. A contact signed on, and immediately sent me a load of messages that were clearly not intended for me. The messages were interspersed with conversations I have previously had with this contact, and luckily I realised who the intended receipient was before reading too much further.
This is a fairly major concern, as I had always assumed that IM conversations were private and not accessible by others (including Skype)!

  • Master Page pertaining to one bodypage appearing in another bodypage

    Hello All,
I am implementing an Adobe form with the following layout.
    1. First page consisting of some header information and an item table
For this, I have created a master page MP1 and a new bodypage BP1, with following specifications -
Subform Content = 'Flowed' (Top to Bottom)
Pagination Place = 'Following previous'; After = 'Continue Filling Parent'
    2. Second page consisting of just item table
I have created a new master page MP2 for this and using same bodypage BP1 as used for first page, with following specifications -
Overflow = 'Go To Page 'MP2''
    3. Last page showing terms and conditions (include text).
For this, I have created a new master page MP3 and a new bodypage BP3, with following specifications -
Pagination Place = 'On Page 'MP3''; After = 'Continue filling parent'
In the output, the first and second pages are displayed properly.
However, in the background of last page with terms and conditions text, the master page MP2 pertaining to second page is showing by mistake, though I have placed bodypage BP3 pertaining to last page on master page MP3. Please note that I cannot set the maximum occurrence of MP2 to 1, as the second page can repeat multiple times depending on number of items.
Please comment on a possible approach to resolve the issue.
    Thanks,
    Indrajit

An ex-girlfriend who is on our family plan has been great about paying her portion of the bill is now thinking about moving out of state. If the people she is moving in with have Verizon can she switch family plans to theirs without penalty?

Simple answer is yes, You will have to agree for her to leave and that family needs to agree to add her. If they do not, she would have to get her own individual plan

  • How do you change from one apple Id to another person.

I got a new iPad from my mom and she was sign in, so I sign her out, but none of my songs are coming up on iTunes. What happened when you do the erase all the setting, does it erase everything on my iPad.

The pad works with a single user.  If you are now that user, reset the pad from scratch.  Settings, reset, erase all content and settings.  Then sync it to your computer using your I tunes account.  Her apps will be gone, and your stuff will be available.

  • In which case the data should go one partition go to another?

    Hi All,
My db is 11.2, Exadata machine.
I encountered the same problem here. When I used  'where column=1', I got the result as 1 and 2
That is I find some data should belong to one subpartition appear in another subpartition.
    Partition and subpartitions looks like:
    PARTITION BY RANGE ("SRCE_SYS_ID")
      SUBPARTITION BY LIST ("SALES_DATE")
(PARTITION "3200_CD"  VALUES LESS THAN (3201)
    PCTFREE 10 PCTUSED 40 INITRANS 1 MAXTRANS 255
      STORAGE(
      BUFFER_POOL DEFAULT FLASH_CACHE DEFAULT CELL_FLASH_CACHE DEFAULT)
      TABLESPACE "POS01A" COMPRESS FOR OLTP
      SUBPARTITION "1359_CD_28MAR2012"  VALUES (TO_DATE(' 2012-03-28 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))
TABLESPACE "POS01A" COMPRESS FOR OLTP ,
      SUBPARTITION "1359_CD_29MAR2012"  VALUES (TO_DATE(' 2012-03-29 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))
TABLESPACE "POS01A" COMPRESS FOR OLTP ,
      SUBPARTITION "1359_CD_30MAR2012"  VALUES (TO_DATE(' 2012-03-30 00:00:00', 'SYYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS', 'NLS_CALENDAR=GREGORIAN'))
    )If I issue
    SELECT count(*)
    FROM ADWG_GPOS.gpos_cd_fads
    WHERE gpos_cd_fads.srce_sys_id = 3200
    AND to_char(sales_date,'dd/mm/yyyy')='28/03/2012'The result is 10000.
    If I issue
    SELECT count(*)
    FROM ADWG_GPOS.gpos_cd_fads
    WHERE gpos_cd_fads.srce_sys_id = 3200
    AND sales_date = to_date('28/03/2012','dd/mm/yyyy')It returns 5000.(correct result)
After investigating, I find some data with sales_date 28/03/2012 go to partition 1359_CD_30MAR2012.
Can someone help me understand why this happend?
    Best regards,
    Leon

Please fix the errors in your posted code and question.
    1. You only show SELECT queries so no data with sales_date 28/03/2012 can go anywhere. Clarify what your statement about data going somewhere means.
    2. You only show one partition range for SRCE_SYS_ID < 1314 so there is no partition shown for ID values of 3200 meaning if you have such a partition you did not show it - meaning you did not post the DDL for the table you are actually using. If you had a query for values of 3200 would not return any rows since there is no partition the data could be in.
    3. AND to_char(sales_date,'dd/mm/yyyy')='28/03/2012' - this is basically equivalent to a functional index on 'sales_date' so partition pruning will not happen. For Oracle to prune partitions it needs to know AT PARSE TIME that any partition it 'prunes' cannot possibly contain needed data. It determines which partitions need to be accessed when it parses the query and evaluates it - not when it executes. When you use a function like in this example it cannot determine with certainty which partitions are not needed so will do a full partition scan.

  • Help - canvas doesn't match timeline -- ghost images appear

    Hi,
After having no problem in panther and final cut 5.0 I've had to upgrade to tiger (10.4.8) and FCP 5.1.2. When I opened and edited my project, I got a sort of ghost image (a still image from elsewhere in the timeline) appearing in the canvas over where another clip should be. This happened once and I tried everything (deleting and then brining in clean copy of clip) and no dice. The good news is that when I output to QT.mov, everything looks as it should.
But suddenly, I'm having this problelm in many areas of my project, which makes it hard to edit at all. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried rendering everything, but it doesn't change anything.
    Two other clues:
    1) at the same time I've had trouble getting VoiceOver to recognize where i am in the timeline so have had to create "In" marker for the project at that spot where I'm doing a new voiceover.
    2) For what it is worth, there does seem to be some odd lines (same color as rendered project but as if cut into smaller pieces in the area of the timeline that triggers this).
please help! (and thanks in advance)

Glad to help. I'm glad to see someone else is working in NY on this cold, gray day. One thing I cannot recommend too highly; browse this forum every day. You see a topic that might be useful, read it. Pretty soon, you'll be an expert at troubleshooting fcp.

  • Why does my ipad says its full charged and its at 1% and it doesn't change?

Like I plug my ipad and it appears the full charged icon when its at 1% and it doesn't change if I unplug it. But when it's plug it doesn't turn off.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

My macbook pro won't start up. I get the white screen and the grey apple icon   the spinning wheel......and it doesn't change !

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
To restart an unresponsive computer, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the power shuts off, then release, wait a few more seconds, and press it again briefly.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.” The article refers to starting up from a DVD, but the procedure in Recovery mode is the same. You don't need a DVD if you're running OS X 10.7 or later.
    b. If Step 1a fails because of disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to salvage some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external drive with OS X installed, start up from it. Otherwise, if you have Internet access, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external drive and install OS X on it. You'll use the Recovery installer, rather than downloading it from the App Store.
    c. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use the technique in Step 1b, 1c, or 1d to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
    Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 4
If a desktop Mac hangs at a plain gray screen with a movable cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Press and hold the button on the side of an Apple wireless keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you're using a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.
    Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
    Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 11. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
    Step 9
If the startup device is an aftermarket SSD, it may need a firmware update and/or a forced "garbage collection." Instructions for doing this with a Crucial-branded SSD were posted here. Some of those instructions may apply to other brands of SSD, but you should check with the vendor's tech support.
    Step 10
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 11
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 12
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 13
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

i bought a mini DVI to HDMI convertor and  a HDMI to VGA cable to connect my mac book pro to a tv but it doesn't work any one can help.

I would suggest looking into a Thunderbolt to HDMI connector. In this case, you may be able to use the TV as an external monitor. For this option, please confirm through additional research. I have not tested it personally.
You can also use an Apple TV, which connects with HDMI. In this case, you can use Airplay Mirroring. Not all Macs support Airplay Mirroring, so you need to check first. I have a Mid-2011 27" iMac, and it supports Airplay Mirroring. I don't use it often because my TV is in another room, but I just tried it and it worked. It had to change the screen resolution to work well, so I don't know if I would want to use it as my day to day monitor. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5404
