Doesn't keep trying to send sms if signal low

This is really annoying in New Zealand we often have poor coverage due to the iPhone RF signal beeing wound back to save battery life. When an sms doesn't get sent due to no or low signal the 3GS doesn't keep trying to send in the same way a Nokia does. You are forced to keep cheeking to see if the message is sent. I have searched all over for an App to fix this, can anyone help?

  • How can I make my iPhone keep trying to send a text until it finds service?

While riding where cell coverage is spotty, I want to be able to reply to an SMS, put my phone in my pack and keep riding. What happens now is, if there is no service, the iPhone gives up and doesn't keep trying to send the message. The next time I stop and check my phone, instead of having a new message, I just have an undelivered warning. Is there a setting I can change to make it keep trying until the SMS is sent?

    No.

  • TS2755 Hi All - I sent a text using my iphone 5 - It is PAYG and had no money in it. It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'. After deleting the convo, the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop not

Hi All - I sent an sms using my iphone 5 - It is PAYG and had no money in it. (stupidly)
It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money)
Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS.
    Any ideas?
    Many Thanks!

Hi, many thanks for your help - Pressing and holding sleep/reset hasn't worked, the msg is still continually reporting it is failing to send. I can restore to a previous version however I'll lose my paid apps. Is there any way to work around this. I'm only concerned about one app - Epocam HD which I purchased last month. My last backup on PC is 4 March 13 - before I bought the paid app - Itunes advises me I'll have to re-pay to get my apps (app) back. Even though it advises that icloud backed up this morning at 1:30 am (which although it is before the text, I cannot manually select this restore).
    What a mess!

There is something else that can cause this issue. Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

The home screen is the screen that shows all of your app icons. You can have one home screen or up to 11 home screens depending on how many apps you have. The home screen on an iPad is the equivalent of the desktop screen on a computer. If you are using an app, just tap the home button once to return to a home screen.
This is is a (my) home screen.
You you might want to double check the instructions here.
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
Make make sure that you are signed into your iCloud account in Settings>iCloud and make sure that you have selected your Apple ID email address as well in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at.

  • I tried to email three pictures and the mail keeps trying to send without sending.

I tried to email three pictures and the mail keeps trying to send without sending.  Even after shutting down the iPad when I reboot it goes right back to trying to send the email.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or quit the mail app and the settings app and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Why do I keep a failed message when trying to send a SMS to UK mobile

That would be a good place to start since SMS is strictly a carrier feature.

  • Upgraded to 8.0.1-send link in gmail doesn't work-Tried all send link ways

Vista 32 bit-Windows 7-Just upgraded to firefox 8.0.1 from 3.6 -Tried to send web page in Gmail link from File and Share and right clicking on Share Using Gmail. My Speed Dial page keeps coming up instead of Gmail. In addition, on top of Speed Dial page G Mail Manager log in box appears that says"Enter Account Info To Log In" but email and password are already there.
Upgraded because old version kept freezing. This one is horrible and not user friendly at all. I will be grateful for ANY help. Would like to uninstall and go back to old version but do not know how. Thank you.

I just got my emails again, not sure what did the magic, but this is what I did:
    - Downloaded my enterprise certificates (device provisioining) - Maybe you don't have to do this step.
    - Reset the iPAD (press power button and menu button until you see apple logo -> this doesn't erase data on the iPAD)
    - Deleted the exchange account
    - Created the exchange account - at this time the iPAD could confirm credentials
After a couple of minutes emails started coming again!
Btw, I had this issue after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1.

  • I AM HAVING PROBLEMS forwarding e-mail to other people. When I pick forward and provide an address the phone just keeps trying to send the message. I get a message that it can't be sent due to my providernr

I am having problems forwarding my phone e-mail to other people. I get a message that it cannot process my mail through my msn.com program and directs me to go to mail settings and change the provider. The phone just keeps trying to process sending the message out and I cannot stop it.

Further info - I changed my security settings to allow apps from anywhere, and again tried to install.  I again got an error message
that the update failed to install, and to contact Customer Support.

  • Mail keeps trying to send the same email over and over

I tried sending an email, but it was too big to send, but not matter what I do, it keeps trying to re-send it anyway (even after deleting the message), it says:
"Mail has undone actions on some messages so that you can redo the actions while online. Mail has saved other messages in mailbox “On My Mac” in “On My Mac” so that you can complete the actions while online.
Additional information: The connection to the server “imap.aol.com” on port 993 timed out."
And I now have 5 of the same email in my outbox.
    please help!
    thanks

  • N95 Problems Trying to Send SMS

My phone has just decided to break on me as it has stopped letting me send sms all together, the messages go into the outbox but constantly say "resend at ##:##" then after a few tries i get the failed error and when i click on details it says "memory full, please close some applications and try again" but the thing is i have nothing else running when i have a look
I'm confused as hell and its very frustrating

    Hi stoneycfc
You don't say whether your N95 running 10.0.018 or 11.0.026
If it is the former you may need to carry out reset *#7370# but please be aware ALL DATA would be lost!

  • HT1430 My iphone 5, when I press mail, keeps trying to send 15 or 20 messages over and over. How do I get rid of these unsent messasges?

My new iphone 5 (I'm a new user too) keeps try to send 15 to 20 emails. I think it's always trying to send the same emails that I'm unable to send. It won't stop doing this every time I hit the mail icon. How do I get it to stop? Or, how do I delete those messages so they don't take up my time and space on the phone?
    Thanks.
    Randy

I have the same problem, those "deleted" drafts always appear in notification center.
I don't like the solution by erasing the contents/settings and restoring from backup. I simply "clear" from right corner in notification center, but not sure if that "clear" function is just a cover-up, or it actually deletes those weird drafts.

  • Unsent mail message keeps trying to send

I don't even remember which of my 4 accounts it is, or what was in it, and no outbox appears to delete the message. It's been trying to send the message for the better part of 2 weeks and failing every time. Unlike in regular Mail, it doesn't bring it up for me to edit, either. Are there any options for this other than wiping and restoring the mailboxes on my next sync?

Check your mailboxes for a folder called "Outgoing" - thats the one. You can open that folder and delete that email.
    enjoy your magic machine
