Doesn't open iPod in my computer.

Hi. My boyfriend bought and 5th generation 30GB iPod and sync it in his PC computer. Later he tried to connect it to my computer (powerbook G4) but the iTunes doesn't want to open it. The program said that this iPod is sync to another library, but new iTunes is supossed to permit multiple sincronization of iPods (in fact, other friends with iPod sync to PCs can use my library). Is there a problem with 5th generation or what?

Next time you connect the iPod to the PC, change the sync preference to "manually manage songs and videos".
Then you can use the iPod on multiple computers.

Please try launching Organizer and Editor from their exe location instead of welcome screen. On windows, double click the exe located at -
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer for PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12 for PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
On MAC, click the respective executables from Applications.

IPod doesn't show up in My Computer/iTunes

I tried the Driver thing with updating even deleting and reinstalling still it doesn't show up in My Computer or iTunes.
I did show up like a week ago but then it said it needed a restore or something but now if I plug it in I hear the sound a device is plugin but nothing happens if I open iTunes I don't see the iPod.
I also tried resetting didn't work either
The iPod itself still works listening to music on it everyday but I want it to work in iTunes because I want to put new music on it.
Please someone help me

If you can't see the ipod in disk management or the device manager, before you connect the ipod, open itunes, select edit/preferences, leave this window open and click on show desktop. This will make itunes busy. Then connect the ipod, and try the above help pages.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPod doesn't show up on "My Computer" or iTunes and it doesn't sync or charge. Help please?

I have an iPod Classic, the 2nd most recent version. I havn't had problems with it until a week ago. Before I had the new iTunes update, a week ago, it wouldn't show up in my Device's or "My Computer" , wont sync and It wouldn't charge either. I thought to myself "Maybe I should update my iTunes, maybe thats why it's not working". I updated my iTunes library to the most recent software last night thinking it would help but... It didn't help at all and made things much more complicated. I don't like how the new iTunes navigates and the iTunes Helper isn't there now. I'm still facing the problem where it doesn't show up in iTunes AND it doesn't show up on "My Computer" AND still doesn'tt sync but the thing thats different is that it'll charge a quarter bit and say it's done, or it wont charge at all and stay on my home screen. I need help here. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd say your sister messed up and your iPod is toasted.
Think about it... She plugged it in to another computer, she doesn't remember what she did (yeah, right), and now your iPod is not being recognized by your computer...
Also take into consideration how old is your sister, and how much does she know about electronics?

I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs

Computer doesn't recognize ipod touch

when I plug my ipod into my laptop via a usb cable, the computer doesn't see it...ie it doesn't show up in My Computer as it used to do. It seems like this began when I went to IOS 5
I followed the troubleshooting steps (except the msconfig one) that start here

I recently bought a song off of iTunes. It shows up on my iPod Touch, but when I plug my iPod into my computer it doesn't show up with the rest of my songs. I tried deleting the song directly from my iPod by swiping the screen (which I normally do) but the delete button doesn't show up. When I try deleting other songs directly from my iPod by swiping the screen, the delete button comes up. Why is this happening? How can I get my song to show up on my computer? How can I delete the song?

Computer/iTunes doesn't recognize iPod. Can't restore either

Somehow, between syncing my iPod (classic, fifth generation)with iTunes and downloaded latest version of iTunes, my pod self-destructed. I got a brief message to "restore" but since the computer or iTunes doesn't seem to recognize the iPod, I can't do it. I am no longer getting the message. I can't find the iPod in Windows Explorer or Device Manager. When I plug the iPod into the computer, all I get is a completely white screen and an occasional beep-beep. Can I take it to a retailer and have it restored?

I was surprised too, but I guess nobody gave a cr*p. I figured it out on my own. Basically, sync, then uncheck the box for the option to open iTunes when that iPod is hooked up, sync again, then check the box, and sync one last time. A dialog box pops up that asks if it's OK to install "iTunes Helper". Say "yes". Now it works.
