Doesn't open some websites
I am facing this weird problem in firefox 23(I don't know about previous versions). When the firefox starts, everything is OK but after some time, some websites don't open. I restart firefox and then the same websites load without any problem. Restarting is troublesome as I have internet under a proxy.
Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.

Safari doesn't open some websites correclty. For example Interpals:
My Internet speed is fine. It's playing videos from Youtube without any problem and displays Youtube correctly. I also resetted Safari, but it didn't help. What am I supposed to do?
I am on 10.7.5 , Safari 6.0.3Avast is the problem. This is a list of links for threads regarding Avast and the issues it can cause on your Mac > Community Search: Apple Support Communities

Pre=update Firefox was a faster and more reliable browser than IE but since this recent upgrade there are pages I visit regularly that are not loading at all. To check if there is an issue with a site I switched to IE and the page loaded immediately. Many sites I try to access with the updated version will not display graphics and since these are often online stores it makes the christmas shopping impossible with Firefox. At the moment IE functions on all these sites, it may not be my preferred browser but at least it works!
Thanks to "itsme95" - I found the resolution to the problem was to completely uninstall Firefox, all add-ins and extensions, reboot and then re-install firefox from a download from the mozilla site. All the pages that would not load before now load quickly and correctly - so the issue was in the automated update. A lesson learned for me is to reject auto-updates and when ready download the files myself.

Preview.app in Snow Leopard doesn't open some jpg files
Preview.app in Snow Leopard doesn't open some jpg files.
Preview does't issue an error message, it behaves as I did't try to open file at all.
These images could be easy opened in iPhoto, so files seem to be OK.
I couldn't attach one such example image to this message, it's exceeds 2mb limit, but courtesy to google image could be downloaded by the link https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B56gs1tsb9aNYjA2MDdmNzUtOWY3NS00ODg1LWIzZDAtYTA 5YzFjZmZjYjRh&hl=en_US.
What's that? Should I file a bug?
ValeriyUnfortunately, it sounds as if your internal disk failed (hardware failure).
Things to try:
(1) Boot from your Apple Hardware Test CD/DVD, which sometimes is a separate disk or sometimes is on the original OS install disk. Run the tests, all of them, to see what is amiss.
(2) Reset PRAM as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379 . I don't think this is likely to help because even though your startup disk is not being selected, it seems that your internal disk is simply unable to be found or mounted, implying hardware failure more than software. But it's worth a try.
Probably time to take your computer in for repairs, either at the Apple Store or to an authorized Apple repair shop. Most likely they will simply replace your drive. You could also ask them to mount the old drive in an enclosure to see if files can be copied from it if you don't have a backup. -
My ipod 4g is running slow and doesn't open some apps what should I do ?
my ipod 4g is running slow and doesn't open some apps and close the when i am working on them what should I do ?
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
Next try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Safari doesn't open some pages
Hi! I've noticed recently that Safari won't open webs like instagram..when I try to log in it lets me write my username and password but when it's going to load the content of the page it remains white.
And I've also noticed that it doesn't open videos on twitter for example, like vines or youtube videos that should be seen directly from the twitter page...What is the matter?
I've tried to restore Safari and make sure there were no updates needed but it has not solved the problem (and I have the latest Safari update)
I would aprecciate the help. Thank you! Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you boot, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
hai. i need help. and just for heads up, i;m not computer/tech savvy.
i dont remember when this problem was started (maybe around 2 or 3 months ago) but everytime i opened some sites, the page displayed for a while then it reload itself and shown a blank page. the link is still the same with the link i tried to access, it just keep loading and shown blank page till it stop loading. refreshing the page wont help. usually i need to click 'Back' then while it shown the page i click 'X' to stop the page loading, so i can see the page.
but if i need to download files, stopping the page wont make me able to downloaded the files since the page didnt fully loaded.
the websites i encountered this was (so far) :
- Indowebster (download page)
- wiki.d-addicts.com (a wikipedia kind of page)
- photobucket (just encountered this today)
- and 1 or 2 other sites, i forgot.
but i can access all those sites just fine with IE. I also able to access it in Mozilla thru my work computer. at first this dint really bother me as i can just click 'stop loading page' or found another download sites for downloading. but as today i experienced it with photobucket 9which as far as i know didnt happened before) it made me worry that soon i would experiencing this with another sites too.
editted to add info :
i already clear cache and cookies. also disable all extensions in my add-ons. from some discussion page, many of them found that this was caused by Real-Player. i have uninstalled Real Player and have disabled the Real Player Plugins long before this problem occured. so i dont think Real Player was the caused.hi.. actually before i was afraid to update anything other than anti-virus, since i read many people seems updating something and turns out they got malware/virus with it.
but i have update it to Firefox 21 (the newest version it seems) and didnt encounter any problem again. and hope not. it just the new version disable my orbitdownloader. any suggestion to bring it back? (or should i post new thread?) -

Iam can not get into my iTunes ap or my ap store. I am slso having problems opening some (not all). Websites. It will say server can not be found. Not sure if it is my iPad or my wireless router. Help. Very frustrating.
It could be your router or DNS server.
You can change DNS servers. To do this see, for example, here: http://techinch.com/blog/change-your-dns-settings-on-iphone-ipod-touch-and-ipad -
Some websites open fine, others I get the theme colours, text and layout, with all graphics removed.
Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.
