Doesn't play the downloaded bought (previously) songs (they appear in grey in my library)

I have just (finally) managed to download my previous purchased into the updated version of iTunes...but they appear in grey in my library and won't play.
How should I do?
If i close iTunes now, they disappear from my library again so i have to download them again and again but have not manage to make any play yet :S

I had this problem too and my roommate solved it!
Go to 'Settings'
'Music'
Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
Then connect to iTunes and sync!

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

ITunes doesn't play the next song, it just stops after one track.

I have iTunes 11.0.1. When I play a song in my playlist, I expect the next song to start as the first one ends, but iTunes stops and doesn't play the next song. I'm missing some sort of setting but what?
It's not a smart playlist, just a playlist of favorite music I've built up over the years.

Have the tracks become unchecked? iTunes will skip unchecked tracks, so if they're all unchecked, iTunes will play one and then stop. If this is indeed the case, re-checkmark the tracks - Command-click will select or unselect them all - and you should then have continuous playback.

ah this is a simple fix. open itunes go to store on the top menu bar and click store. scroll down and click
"Authorize this computer" fill in the info requested and there u have it.

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) If you are playing through remote speakers, iTunes 8.1 will not play the video. Previous versions would play fine using only the computer's speakers, but 8.1 requires the remote airtunes speakers be deselected.

Final Cut pro doesn't play the frames

My final cut pro doesn't play the frames in the application.
The whole time it works great but at ones this happend.

Couple of things to check and try.
1) In Viewer Display options check to see whether Better Performance is checked in the Quality section. If not, check it and that should help you set real time playback with a slight reduction in quality in the Viewer. However, it will not have any affect on your project.
2) If that doesn't work, consider generating Proxy files by eight clicking clips >Transcode Media. There is also a setting in Viewer Display Options to use Proxy in editing your project. Before you export the finished project, remember to change that setting back to Original/Optimized.
3) If that doesn't work, download a speed test and check the throughput of your media drive. It should be a separate drive from your start up disk and should be connected by Thunderbolt (fastest) USN3 (next fastest) or Firewire 800.

HT2052 Doesn't show the download progress

I purchased the update and clicked download and it said thank you your download is starting and it takes 30 minutes and more but it doesn't show the download progress and it's been more than 30 minutes and my iPod isn't updated.

My nano 6 plays the same few dozen songs over and over even though there are about 1000 songs on it. Many of the songs have never even played.

Turn off repeat.

Do you get any error message?
What actually happens when you open it?
What app are you trying to play the files inside? Try iTunes.
I assume these files have DRM from the iTunes store. The Mac needs to be authorized to play them, open iTunes & select Authorize in the store menu, then sign in with the Apple ID that purchased the files.
Select the iTem in iTunes & get info on it (from the File menu) & you can see the account name that it belongs to.
