Doesn't recognize FCP7 the thundebolt

hi, i have a big issue with FCP 7... in my new iMac its doesnt recognize the thunderbolt adapter to Firewire 800 in Log and Capture... i have a dvd player that its RCA output, then i have a RCA to DV (Firewire400), then i have a FW400 to FW800 adapter and FW800 to thundebolt adapter and this last one is pluged in on my new iMac, nad FCP 7 doens recognize... its show me "no communication" on Log and Capture. Could anyone help me. Thx

HT4061 i just downloaded the ios7 and put in a passcode; when I then tried to use the passcode it didn't work. My phone is now disabled. I never backed it up on my computer so itunes doesn't recognize it; The MEID# isnt accepted by support. Any suggestion

I just downloaded the ios7 successfully (love it) and after putting in a NEW passcode when I went back to the phone, it wouldn't take the passcode I thought I had entered. Phone is disabled, I never backed it up to my computer so it is not recognized, I can't get into it to get the serial number, and the Apple support won't accept the MEID # from the back of the phone so I can get help. Any ideas?

i cannot connect iTunes because it's always asking to enter passcode on iphone.
So, i cannot make restore my iphone 6+. And then, I cann't erase "device" in icloud.
My iphone is new. No icloud. didn't connect to itune backage.
That's why I try to connect iTunes but it need to enter passcode.
So, my iphone just keep "iphone is disbled-connect to iTunes".

HT4796 The PC doesn't recognize that the Mac is connected to the network.

I am trying to migrate files from a PC with Windows XP. The Mac identifies the PC and provides the code. But the PC is stuck on the message "waiting for the Mac to connect". The Windows automatic updates on the PC are turned off and so is the McAfee firewall. What else do I need to do on the PC end?

Never mind, everyone. I'm new to this, and just found other discussion that suggest there's no solution using Migration Assistant. So, unless someone has found a solution in the last couple of months, I understand that I will have to transfer files manually and Outlook e-mail via some other way.

When i synced with my ipad all my photos in iphoto on my macbook disappeared. When I try to sync again, iphoto doesn't recognize the 1500 photos that are still on my ipad. How do I get them back onto my macbook?

When I synced my iPad2 with my MacBook Pro, all my photos in iPhoto disappeared on my MacBook but remained on the iPad. I want to get the back onto my MacBook, but when I connect the iPad, it doesn't recognize that the photos are there.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Replaced internal hard drive, time machine doesn't recognize as same volume

The hard drive (call it drive "X") on my iMac (one of the 2005 models) was dying so I had it replaced. I rebuilt the new drive (drive "Y") from my most recent time machine backup (from external drive "A"). I am now having problems with one of my backup devices, in that time machine doesn't recognize that the new disk is conceptually the same thing that had been backed up before (same volume name).
More details... I rotate my backups monthly through three external drives (I store the most recent offsite). After the disk replacement and restore process, I continued to use that backup drive (drive "A") without noticing any problem. Then it came time to rotate my external drives, and time machine doesn't find enough space on the next backup drive (drive "B"). Presumably this is because it doesn't realize that the drive I am backing up ("Y") is a copy of the drive that had previously been backed up on "B" ("X").
Is there any way to convince it they are the same? Or am I in the same boat as this poster:

Basically I just want to verify that I am in that same boat before I remove old backup files on "B". If I do decide I need to remove those, are the instructions linked in thread 2770362 correct, or are there better ones?

Actually, the backup I deleted above was the backup for the new internal drive. Apparently TM had created the (incomplete) backup during the failed attempt that ran out of space on the backup device. Since the new internal drive had the same name as the old internal drive, I didn't initially realize that's what I was deleting. Not that deleting it causes any harm, but it didn't address the original problem of freeing up space on the backup device.
Not to worry though. I've figured out how to get at the backups for the old internal drive, and am in the process of deleting those. I was about to follow the instructions in your troubleshooting items E3 and E2, but upon attempting to enter time machine I stumbled into the right place. Since I had previously told TM to do no backups (because there was still not enough disk space), and since I'd left the backup device connected, when I pulled up the TM menu from the menu bar, the usual "Enter Time Machine" menu was replaced by "Browse Other Time Machine Disks" (or perhaps "Disks" was "Backups"). This then gave me a list of the machines that I'd backed up on this backup device (in my case machine names and internal drive names are the same). Of course one of those was for the old internal drive, and after choosing it I roughly followed the same course of action as I did a few days ago, to initiate deletion.
I also saw how I could delete each of those old backups individually, but decided against that as I did not expect it would free up enough space. My expectation is that nearly all the space is shared among all the backups for the same source drive, since relatively very little changes between backups.

Captivate 4 doesn't recognize microphone

I just installed Captivate 4 and imported a couple of Cap3 projects. Everything works fine except the audio - it doesn't recognize that the microphone is working. Captivate 3 and other applications have no problems.
I downloaded and installed the update, but it didn't help.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I recently had a problem where my PC stopped recognizing that the player was connected. I had this problem once before and solved it by removing and reinstalling all of the player related software on my PC. Tried that again, but it didn't help. I tried connecting to another PC, still no response. I tried a different USB cable. No luck.
I then guessed that perhaps the firmware on the player had been corrupted. Up to this point, my player continued to play just fine but I couldn't connect to my PC and manage the player. I then downloaded the firmware and very stupidly removed the operating system from my player as part of the process of trying to reinstall the firmware. Of course, the PC still doesn't recognize that the player is connected so I can't install the new firmware from the PC. Now, of course, my player won't play either.
Any suggestions? I am frantic. Thanks.

First make sure you have all the lastest versions of all the software (especially the driver as this is what the pc needs to recognise the player).
Another thing to do is try plugging it into all the usb ports. I sometimes find certain devices only work when plugged into the port which was being used when it was installed.

I'm trying to stream to Twitch.tv, but FMLE doesn't recognize Soundflower, the app used to stream my computer's audio.
I've reinstall both apps multiple times, and yes I have them both open, most obvious solutions I've tried.

After upgrading to Lion to use software that required the waistful upgrade and ******* away $20. It now has created more complications and issues. MAC mail does not work! and that's just the beginning. I too have to use either my phone or Ipad or even more lame log into the internet to see my mail. Yet, they have no answers to fix this. If someone out there can give a legit answer to fix it that would be great.

In order for you to solve this problem you have to follow these stept if your running windows:
1'st step is to go into the device manager
2 step is to go to portable devices (it is right under network adapters)
3 step is to right clic apple ipod and click update drivers
4 step is to brows your drivers from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
After that your itunes will pump up alown and youl see your iphone right there.
If these doesent work try restarting your device and then see what happens.

Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

What happens if you go to iTunes > File > Devices, do you get the option to Sync iPhone?
