Doesn't rename .part extention after download

Frequently Firefox 4 (betas and now RC) gives an error message that it can't save a file after downloading it. What actually happens is that after the download is complete it doesn't rename the file to eliminate the .part extension. If I manually rename the file it is fine. There is nothing wrong with the downloaded file, it just couldn't be renamed.
This does not happen all the time. Tried disabling add-ons, no effect. Allowed Firefox through Win 7 firewall. That helped, I think, but it's an intermittent problem so it's hard to be sure. But I was uncomfortable allowing a browser to bypass the firewall. Seemed risky.

OK, now I have finally, finally fixed this problem. I got rid of Free Download Manager. It was slick, but overkill for simple downloads. I went back to the native Firefox download manager and did the following...
The problem was indeed that the anti-virus would try to scan the temporary .part file before it was fully written. This created a conflict as two programs fought over access to the same file. So I set my anti-virus to exclude files with a .part extension. The file is still scanned, however, after the download completed and the extension gets changed to .exe
Works fine now.

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".

In what way? Your MyPhotoStream photos will show in in the Photos.app in the "Recently Added" album, but their is no longer a "My Photo Stream" album.
If you enabled "iCloud Photo Library Beta" in the "Video/Photos" Settings, disable it. This will prevent the Photo Stream from syncing from your Macs to the iOS 8 devices.

I have similar issues and was referred to a knowledge base article support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 This seems to corrected the issue.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Well, with apps genneraly you do get told ahead of time. I'm not sure of the current algorithm with movies though.
Why not just clear up some space? You can check your usage in your settings btw.

It may seem strange indeed, but yes, you have to ALSO install the older version 6 for Apple's system; other applications will use your Java (which I believe is now even 9) and others will use that version 6.

Can you do setup an unread mail folder that shows all unread mail regardless of what folder it really is in on the iPhone mail program somehow?

There seems to be massive amounts of problems with every aspect of iOS 6. From what I understand all you can do is try and reset your device and pray that Apple bequeaths working software next time or allows users to revert to iOS 5 while they search for someone who knows what they are doing. Perhaps you will need to use an alternate email app until then? (Although, Gmail seems to be the only one that works properly)

Scan doesn't work after downloading Windows 10

After downloading Windows 10, scanning will not work on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 all in one printer. I used HP Print and Scan Doctor program and it stated that it fixed my scanning problem. However, when I attempt to scan I get a message that says it cannot find the application to support the selection. BTW...I have also unistalled and reinstalled the driver for this printer thinking it might been to "reconnect" in some way with Windows 10. On another note, by DVD drive now doesn't work either after downloading Windows 10. HELP !!

Try the following step's, i believe it will help you overcome the issue.
1.Start by dissconnecting the USB cable.
2.Remove the Printer Driver from the "Devices and printer's" which can be found in the control panel.
3.Download this file (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL48430/al-117537-4/DJ1510_188.exe) which is the full solution for the HP Dj 1510 series.
4.Extract the contents from within the file.
5.Open up the "Utils" Folder and within choose the "x64" folder, Inside you should be able to spot a File called "RemovePreInstalledDrivers" >> After you will open that file a Black screen will open, Wait for it to close then move to the next step.
6. Go back to main folder where you have already extracted the software and Right click on the x64.msi file (Name will most likely consist your printer model) and choose the "Repair" Option. >>Afterwards you will be prompted to preformed a restart. (Incase you will get a Messege saying "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" Just double click the file instead)
7.After the restart, Head into Local Disk C/ProgramFiles/HP/PrinterModelFolder/bin/USBSetupLuncher and double click it.
8.Follow the steps shown to you and connect the USB cable when you are asked to.
That should add the scanner to Your imaging devices.
