Doesnt seem to connect when published in a browser
Hey friends.. im a total newbie to Flash Media server.. i
just started using this for the past 2 days..so, heres the problem
im facing..i ve a simpleConnect component and a connectionlight
component on my stage and i connect both of em..the connectionlight
goes green when i test movie in flash(ie Ctrl+Enter).. but when i
Publish(F12) it in a browser.. the light is red.. why isnt it
connecting to the server when ublished in a browser?i hope u

When published in a browser you need to adjust your Flash
Player's security settings and allow outbound connections for files
being in the directory where your swf file is. Remember: The html
and the swf are served from the local file system (C:\path\to\swf)
and the swf then tries to connect to your fms machine:
(rtmp://yourserver/app). You should actually have seen an error
message when you first tried.
Alternatively you could put your SWF onto a web server (like
your users would)

hey guys. I am having trouble with my internet. My MacBook Pro seems to be connected with Belkin wireless router, but the internet would not work. We recently changed the router so its pretty new, and it used to work on my HP laptop. Although there were some problems, it still worked. But now, the internet works and stops suddenly, and then works again.
I would love to hear some suggestions to get rid of this.

Please detail all you have done to resolve your issue. Need this information so that the users can avoid the "been there, done that" scenario type responses. Siri doesnt seem to work when im out, is there anything i can do?
While im at home and connect to my wifi everything works fine. However when out and about it wont connect. Please help.
If you have a strong signal to your netwrok, Siri should work fine. When connected to WiFi, it probably will work better than your wireless network.
Sometimes, if Siri says it is not available, the server is probably down. -
What happens when publishing both SFW and HTML5?
I am publishing courses that will be used for both mobile devices (iOS and Android tablets) and computers. Most of the learners will access these by computer. When publishing to HTML, browser compatibility and performance are a challenge. I would prefer computers playback in Flash and mobie devices default to HTML 5.
What exactly happens when I publish using both formats? Will the browser support be detect and launch and deliver the most compatible training?
I'm also curious of any best practices used by others.

JonYes, that is exactly what happens. It first detects mobile devices then the swf as a fallback. Some people have had to add other user agents as this is what Captivate checks for:

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

I am not allowed to sign in with my Apple ID on iTunes Connect when I am trying to publish my book in iBooks Author. I do not understand why because I have fulfilled the first steps creating an account and informed my IRS tax number...
The recommendation is always to make another ID for use with a paid books account. And while I can't swear this is at the root of your issue, you should in any case reach out to Apple for assistance on this one, I think.

Close window not working when publishing as HTML5 on Adobe Connect using CP8
Hi all,
I'm trying to get a button that closes the project/window at the end of a video. I am using CP8.
I can get it to work when publishing as SWF to Adobe Captivate.
It also works when publishing as HTML5 but not on an LMS (Adobe Connect).
I have tried various methods including
- On success execute a Javascript = window.close()
- On success - exit
- On success execute advanced action = Assign cpCmdExit with 1
I also tried adjusting the slide settings On Exit: exit and the publishing settings Project End Options: Action: Close project.
Nothing works.
Any ideas?

Can you test this to close the course window:
Insert 2 buttons or smart shape used as buttons (as Finish course buttons).
On the first button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: parent.close()
On the second button apply an action to execute javascript and in the script window, use this script: top.window.close()
Upload the published project on your LMS and check if any of these works for you.

Hi! Has anybody succeeded in using Presonus Audio box 22 vsl with Os Mountain Lion? They doesn´t seem to connect.
No problems when i used with Snow Leopard. I upgraded: Now Kreonika is not happy. Not happy at all!In cases like this, if you have an Apple store near by, they will most likely install the OS free of charge for you, if you can't bring your Apple ID along to prove you've paid for it.

When I tried to order large batch of photos in iPhoto - it seemed to get stuck halfway through. I hit "cancel". When I tried to "buy" photos again... it never seemed to connect. Did I lose my order? Is it half-uploaded somewhere and I need to "resume" upload? Or do I need to start all over again with the order?
You might want to download something called an undelete utility. These can find files and recover them even after they appear to have been lost. There are some undelete utility programs that are free. Look at tucows.com
Also, it appears that you have POSSIBLY overwritten the actual files, which you moved manually, with I don't know what, which you moved in PSE's folder location view.
Next, in the future ... NEVER (that's: don't even think about it) move your photos in Windows. NEVER. NEVER. Not ever. Not once. This always (that's ALWAYS, as in 100% of the time) causes problems and usually makes things difficult to fix.
Lastly ... make regular backups! I must say this in the forums about seventy bazillion times a month. Make regular backups! Regular depends on how often you take photographs and edit them. Since my photographic activity usually happens on the weekends, I make backups every Sunday night. You may need a different schedule, depending on your activity level. MAKE REGULAR BACKUPS! -
Website doesnt not display as it should when published to business catalyst
I have just uploaded my website created through muse via Business Catalyst, I have also made the website live. However when I go to via via thdawkinsphotography.businesscatalyst.com the site doesnt appear the same with what I uploaded. The title is smaller that it supposed to be.

I am not sure why my site is displayed differently through Business Catalyst but I had moved from my original hosted site to business catalyst due to not being able to upload my site to the server via ftp as well as the site kept timing out, so I decided to use my Creative Cloud included webhosting through business catalyst.
Can anyone help with this please. Is it a bug with Muse CC (2014) or Business Catalyst webhosting.After carefull investigations my original webhosting server is obviously having some major problems at present. However I cannot see why hosting my site with Business Catalyst has reduced my Main Master page title size. The width of the title should be longer than the length of the menu bar. But it not and it obvious adobe have no idea on why its happen, and thats maybe why I havent heard from them. As a result of this I will have to go and fork out more money to get webhosting elsewhere which will allow me to upload my website through MUSE CC (2014).
I ask that if an adobe staff members reads this, please address this issue, as I need a webhosting service that will display my website correctly and business catalyst just doesnt cut to the chase. Everything that was working fine for me in Muse CC is no longer working for me in Muse CC (2014).
Is there a way to revert my website back to Muse CC after opening it and editing it in Muse CC (2014). -
