Domain accounts become slowly after 1 hour of use

I use Xserve running 10.6.8 and all users have Mac and log in as domain user. I have three internal hard disk, one for the system and the others for the home users (raid disks). I also have tow external SATA hard drives, one as shear disk for data and the other for time machine backup.
All disks have space (30 - 40 % used). I use 3Com 1Gb switch. Everything worked normally 6 months ago. One week ago I had this problem: when the users login and start work, they work around one hour normally and after that some computers start stack (run slowly) and take time to respond for any action. And when they logout and login again their account work normally also around one hour then start stack.
I restarted the server but same thing happened, the network traffic average 18-24mb/s and the CPU between 20-40%. Fro some users I restored their account months ago from time machine then it works normally for a few days then starts to crash.
I created a new user but same problem happened (work normally for 1-2 hour then start to crash until they logout then login they account worked normally for 1-2 hour). This happens only with domain users, if I login as local user the machine works normally.
I don't know if the problem is in the accounts or in the network. I hope some one can help me.

Photoshop CS3 Win XP SP2 - Crash after hours of use?

I am a desktop support tech. I have users that are crashing photoshop after hours of use and specifically when they are dodging and burning or using filters. Photoshop's RAM usage is not extremely high and I have users that do this everyday on machines that are exactly the same. Re-booting the machine postpones the issue for a couple of hours but does not fix it. Does anyone else have this issue and if so have you found any way to fix it?

Thanks for help and suggestions. I simply wiped the slate clean so to speak and reloaded iTunes and QuickTime. Changed a few default settings and reloaded all the music back into iTunes. Had to reaffirm my id and password for the music I bought through iTunes music store but everything appears to be working properly. I am now able to burn CDs without the system rebooting. My system was already set for mini-dump so if the Apple engineers would like those files I can upload them for you.
However I'm still having a problem that I've had from day one. When I import a CD to iTunes the first song on each CD has a 2 second or so blank sound gap in it. All the songs after that are okay though, no blank sound gap. I import everything from my internal drives not my external burner.
Once again appreciate the suggestions.

I do have a system which is completely laggy only after hours of usage; works fine after reboot. I already installed my Mac once again. Did I install things I should not ? Tried reset SMC, PRAM.

Sponsor accounts become disabled for no apparent reason

We use three different sponsor accounts to manage guest logons on ISE. These work fine a few times but the accounts become disabled after a short period of time. We don't know when and how often this happens, but virtually every time one of the sponsors attempts to login to the sponsor portal they are denied access with the message "user disabled". When we check in the administration portal, indeed all three sponsor accounts are disabled. We enable all three accounts and everything works again - for a while.
We have no idea when (not to mention: why) the accounts become disabled. There seem to be no alarms or warnings generated. What can be done?

Andreas,
This may be a simple password policy that is a default on the ISE.
Check by going to: Administration > Identity Management > Settings
Choose User Password Policy from the menu on the left.
Look under Password Lifetime. If "Disable user account after 60 days if password was not changed" is checked, then this is your issue.
I have attached a screenshot of the page and note that mine is checked (only for illustration purposes).

Unable to login to Server 2003 using adminitrator domain account

We were not able to login to a domain server with server 2003 using a Domain Admin account. We were able to log in using a Local Admin account. We tried dropping and re-adding the server to the domain, but still had the same issue. After logging in using
the Local Admin account we created a new SID using sysinternals. This seemed to work, but the next day after a server reboot, we encountered that issue again. Any ideas why this is happening and why creating a new SID seems to fix the issue until a reboot?

Try adding Domain Admins to local administrators group.

System becomes unusable after a few hours?

I've been on arch for about 2 months now and didn't start having problems until maybe 3 weeks ago. After a few hours of use, everything will completely (and suddenly) become really unresponsive: even an uncached ls or man takes upwards of 15-30 seconds. Using strace, I saw the commands were stalling on IO operations (getdent64 for example), so I came to suspect my disk. The odd thing is, it completely resolves itself upon reboot, at least until I leave the computer on for a few more hours.
About my disk: it's a Crucial 64GB SSD, / and /home are mounted with noatime and both partitions are at about 65% capacity. I profiled the disk using dd before and after reboot the most recent time it became unresponsive:
Before power cycle:

Notice the magnitude difference in throughput speeds (Read 630 kB/s vs. 220 MB/s, Write: 1.2 MB/s vs. 89.1 MB/s), and this doesn't even really cover the disk latency I'm seeing.
Anyone seen anything like this, or have any ideas on how to fix it/debug it more? The fact that it fixes itself after power cycle makes me think it isn't the disk itself, but who knows: a power cycle cycles the disk to some extent too (remount, clear caches, etc.). My other thought is that it might be a kernel upgrade, but I don't remember if this started happening after I upgraded my kernel or not. If it matters, I started using Gnome 3 about a week before this started happening. I don't have much linux profiling-fu, so any help would be appreciated.

Firefox automatically crashes after 4 hours of use and only when a textbox is being used - problem now daily and getting worse

This has been going on for a few weeks and started of it's own accord. I have not recently installed any new plugins or scripts, and my PC is protected by two antivirus products and so my system (WinXP) is malware free.
I can browse firefox for up to 4 hours, and then it crashes. No matter what sites I am using, what I am doing or even if I'm at the PC... so long as there's a text box on the page then firefox will crash if the 4 hour time limit expires. I can be just about to save an hours worth of photo captions and lose all that work due to the crash, or can be in the middle of a background download but it'll still crash... daily.
I thought this was a plugin issue, as I have disabled all plugins for javascript handling, flashgot, etc, but still it crashes. (previously on startup Firefox would hang for 5 to 10 minutes and the system would "bing" at me if I tried to click on the firefox window... eventually a 'non responsive script' window would appear relating to a flashgot script). The crash used to go whereby suddenly the page would freeze for a few seconds, followed by a minute or two of safe working, then 2 minutes of freeze and 30 seconds of safe working, with the ratio of freeze-tim:working time working in 20 seconds increments until firefox crashed... now though there is no warning, the page freezes and then it's gone. I have updated firefox several times and still the problem persists. On a previous computer, Firefox degraded to the point where it froze for 4 minutes on any page with a Flash application... now on this computer it has degraded by itself to the point where it crashes after 4 hours of use.
I'm presently using Internet Explorer to type this question because firefox crashed again and I'm not going to sit waiting for it to reload just to get a few numbers from an information screen... therefore further info like crash ID's etc will be update in due time....

Cool, I'll try using the wall adaptor just as soon as I get a convertor for it to convert it to our socket type. It's nice to hear that someone else has experienced the same issue.

make sure you are signed in with correct appleid in itunes store and authorize for any appleid that has purchases.

Lenovo Flex 10 touchscreen stops working after 1 hour of use.

Just bought a new Lenovo Flex 10 from a retail and it works perfectly except that after an hour of use the touchscreen stops working, the computer still works ok, but only with the mousepad. The notebook came with Windows 8.1, and I haven't installed any program on it. I need an urgent response please, since i've been looking for days in the community and other support pages, and still can't get a satisfactory answer and the period to get the a refund are about to expire.

Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Once the Touchscreen stops responding, can you check the following:
1. Open System Properties and see if the Touch functionality is still there
- Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is not detected)
- Link to picture (Touchscreen feature is detected)
If the Touchscreen feature is detected, proceed to Step 2.
2. Press the Windows key‌ +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the Device Manager, navigate to the Human Interface Devices section and uninstall anything that says HID-compliant device (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.
3. If the Touchscreen is still not working, hold the Shift Key and hit the restart button inside Windows and you should be able to see the image below then try to tap on the screen to test and observe. I
If the touch capability is still not functioning, I recommend you contact lenovo for service.

I have been to the local Genius bar and through trial and error we have determined that Mail is working ok but somehow the account is causing the problem. I have used this account for years. Any ideas what is causing this?

No idea why, but one thing you may try if you have the time, is create a new user, and set up the problem mail account in the new user space. See if it causes your MBP to hang as well. That will tell you if it is something wrong with your main User, or something wrong with MBP.
Assuming this works, I'd nuke the problem account in your main user space, re-start, and reinititate the account and see if that helps.
Depening on how many email accounts you have setup, it may be necessary to nuke the whole Mail folder in your User/Library.... Hard way to get it to work, but just my idea.

Hi. We're moving away from SQL authentication and using
domain accounts for SQL Server authentication. How does one create
a data source in the admin site to use a domain account? Is this

Just updated details - os x 10.8.5 .....
found an answer that could have been problem with CPU and a runaway application (possibly Bin Weevils) which my son was running at the time. I shall check the activity monitor next time to see what percentage cpu is being used..

4321 NetBT errors :1b after domain controller becomes pdc

I am getting 4321 NetBT errors :1b after domain controller becomes pdc errors after moving fsmo roles over to new pdc. The error is the DOMAIN :1b could not be regitstered with the IP of the new DC. The computer with the IP would not allow
it to be claimed. I can;t ping the computer that would not allow it to be claimed and I dont see WINs on out network. This is a HYPER-V domain controller.
Is this gonig to effect network clients?
