Domain already exists

Error
Domain already exists. Please delete all records associated with this domain before re-adding it.
I used a domain on my previous subscription which I need to get rid of but don't have access to that subscription, how can I delete all records associated with it?

Strange...
Within the page did you select "Business Catalyst"?
Here's access to direct BC chat support. -> http://tinyurl.com/dyhdprv
If still no luck please provide the domain in question and I see what I can do to help.

  • Error 'Domain already exists. Delete all records'

Hello, I am having an issue with transferring my domain name. Keep getting the error 'Domain already exists. Delete all records'.  I assume this needs some kind of cashe flush but not quite sure how to do it!
    Any help would be appriciated,
    Thanks,
    Callum

    Hi Callum,
What is the domain name and to what site are you trying to add it to?

  • Domain already exists error

I'm moving an existing web site to BC. I've upgraded to a paid site, and went to the Network Solutions Web site and changed the DNS server addresses to ns1.worldsecuresystems.com, ns2, and ns3.
Next, I went to the Admin console and went to site settings > Side Domains, and clicked on the "new domain" button, and put in my domain name (gilbertconsulting.com) and filled in the rest of the info, including the "use this service to host your website requireing you to redelegate the domain".
But when I click the "save" button, I get the error "Domain already exists. Please delete all records associated with this domain before re-adding it". I'm stumped. What should I do next?

So, how do I let them know. Their "contact support" is a circle that goes back and forth between 2 pages, never giving me a way to post anything, or even open a ticket. ("Before accessing your case management page, please log in to your site, and click the 'help and support' link:", which comes right back to this Adobe Business Catalyst Help & Support page).
And Live Chat does exactly the same thing. So I have nobody to ask. So far paid almost $1,000 US on subscription since CC started, and I don't get the same help I got from a $4.95/month hosting account anywhere else on the web.
And don't get me started about the lack of basic e-mail.
So I need help ASAP, since 3 sites I work on have had their name servers changed, and are dark right now.
    Thanks anyway, Liam.

  • Need help - Deleted domain and can't re-add - Error domain already exists - Site down

In trying to reconfigure our domain setup, I removed the main domain name in an attempt to re-add it so that it does not point to an external DNS server.
I deleted the domain and now when I try to re-add it, I get the following error:
Domain already exists.  Please delete all records associated with this domain before re-adding it.
I have no way to submit a ticket when I go to help and support and our site is now down from the main page.  I need help ASAP.
I was able to submit a case when I switched browsers (Chrome apparently does not display the search bar/case submission).  The case is
    OBNW5020171
The domain I am trying to re-add is surfaid.org

    Hi,
I just wanted to followup to see how this case is progressing.  This is
very URGENT as our main URL is down and we are in the final stages of a
major campaign where participants have been instructed to go to our website
to sign up which could result in a loss of a lot of donations.
Any priority this can be given would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!

When trying to add the domain name *mcpctv.com* so I can launch my website as CCF Consulting for the register, in Business Catalyst, this happens ***error: domain name already exists, please delete any records of previous domain.*** There are no other records...... So how can I put in the Domain name so I can luanch my website?

    hi Guys,
need to create a mailbox for a tennant "service" but get this error
This display name already exists. Please use a different display name
    any idea ?
We have come across the same issue with the Service@ email account under tennant mode.and we've tried it under multiple domain names that we host..with the same resulting "display name already exists" error.
The Suggestions above by Fiona do not work, and yield :
    [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Get-user -id service |FL
The operation couldn't be performed because object 'service' couldn't be found on '<AD Domain Controller>'.
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Get-Mailbox], ManagementObjectNotFoundException
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : FC39465B,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.GetMailbox
Yet... if we create another user and add Service@ as an alias it works .. we just cant create it as a primary user name.

  • Start VM failed: Domain CCCCCCCC already exists with ID NNN

    Hi,
I try to start an Oracle VM (currently stopped), the job related to the start action fails and the VM is not started.
    The job log is:

Previously I tried to migrate it to another Server of the same pool, the migration Job was successful, the VM resulted running, but actually it was cycling rebooting itself every minutes, after a few steps of the booting process. So I killed it (stopped it) and migrate it back (while in a stopping state) to the original server. When I start it on the original Server, I get the error above.
Please note that "xm list" on the Server doesn't show that this VM 0004fb0000060000b17c866636533d63 is running, nor that any VM with ID 199 is running.
    Any suggestion? Thanks
    Oscar

I don't think that advsiing to change the UUID inside the vm.cfg file is too beneficial. It might solve the immediate problem, but it won't make the "ghost" dom go away, which will need a OVMS boot to get rid off.
Further more it seems like Oracle has fixed this issue and will likely roll the patch out in an upcoming update to xen. Users who have OVM under CSI can request a patch mentioning this BUG: 20687187
I just received that patch and I will try that out tonight.

  • Error: Domain name already exist

I have got the dreaded Domain name already exist error. So I need to have support to clear the server cache.
I have raised a ticket: Request #120826 for about 5 hours ago!
There is no live chat online.
For my users/visitors it is the best time to do this over the weekend. But probably not the best time if you need support... :-(
Soon i have to point back my DNS to the old site...

  • Import already existing directory structure into DFS namespace?

    Hi all,
I'm planning to migrate three file servers to a single DFS namespace and after reading the official docs and numerous blog posts I'm still unsure about the right way to do it.
The "main" server already has a share with a complex directory structure, called \\server1\team, and that share shall become the root of the new DFS namespace, lets call it  \\domain.local\team.
Part of that already existing directory structure is this folder: \\server1\team\admin\communication\archive. The folder "archive" contains thousands of files in numerous folders and shall become a dfs link to another share \\server2\archive. But
before I can create the folder "archive" as a dfs link I have to create the folder "admin" in the dfs hierarchy of course, then below that the folder "communication"
Question: When I try to create a folder "admin" in the dfs namespace, I get the error message "the folder cannot be created in the namespace. The file exists."
Ok, the folder "admin" indeed exists, but how can I "import" this branch of the existing directory hierarchy into the dfs namespace?
Do I have to rename the existing folder "admin" to e.g. "admin2", then create the dfs folder "admin" and move the complete directory structure below "admin2" to "admin"? Or can I simply make the existing folder
    "admin" a dfs folder?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards
    Christoph

    Mandy, thanks for your feedback!
I have to describe my problem more precisely: creating the root of the new DFS namespace is *not* the problem. This worked for me exactly as you expained it. The problem appears when I try to create a folder below that root in the DFS namespace. If that
folder already exists in the share you cannot choose how to handle security settings but you get an error message, and that's it.
This may be helpfull to explain what I want to achieve:
    Old structure:
\\server1\team - folder admin - subfolder "archive" - lots of subfolders and files
Now I want to move all files and folders from "archive" to \\server2\archive and link this share into the new DFS namespace, so that our users don't notice any change when they access that archive folder.
    new structure:
    1. Create DFS namespace root: \\domain.local\team  -> \\server1\team   (works!)
                |
    2. Create folder admin  (problem!)
                |
    3. Create subfolder "archive" -> \\server2\archive (not possible becaues "admin" couldn't be created)
I could perhaps create a DFS namespace with the root \\server1\team\admin\archive and link that to \\server2\archive, but I would like to avoid creating a new namespace for each share which from \\server2 which I mount into some subfolder of \\server1\team...
    Thanks for reading.

    Christoph

  • Inserting a new row in a child table referencing an already existing parent

I have two tables PARENT & CHILD (one to many), both of which are populated at different times.
In our toplink mappings, parent contains a collection of child Domain Objects, & and child Domain object contains a one - one to parent.
How can I insert a new row in a child table with reference to an already existing row in parent?
When I fetch the parent Domain object and try to set it in the child Domain Object and use the unitOfWork.registerObject() it goes into a circular loop of selecting from 2 other tables.
    Please suggest.

Odd, have you disabled caching and indirection? (NoIdentityMap, dontUseIndirection, or alwaysRefresh/disableCacheHits). If so, then this could be the issue.
Otherwise please include the sample code you use to perform this, and verify that you do not have any unusual code in your set/get methods or in descriptor events. Also turn TopLink logging on and include a sample. Also ensure that you do not modify your objects until after registering them in the unit of work, and only modify the unit of work clones.

  • Cannot rename DC, "Cannot create a file when that file already exists."

    Hi,
A long time ago we used a domain controller named jacob.mydomain.lan.  It was removed, possibly in a 'dirty' way, and now we cannot re-use that name for another domain controller.  In the meantime we have upgraded to Win 2012 domain controllers
now, and when I enter this to rename:
    netdom computername ourdc.mydomain.lan /add:jacob.mydomain.lan
I get the error:  "Unable to add jacob.mydomain.lan as an alternate name for the computer.  The error is:  Cannot create a file when that file already exists."
    If I enter:
    netdom computername ourdc.mydomain.lan /remove:jacob.mydomain.lan
I get: "The command completed successfully", but it still refuses to add jacob.mydomain.lan
After each attempt to add a forward zone dns record 'jacob.ourdomain.lan' has been created.  I always erase this manually afterwards.
What is the problem? How can I search to find the offending 'file' named 'jacob'?
Thanks a lot for help on this.

  • Can`t rename computer computer account is already exists

We have domain on 2 DC`s(1 is GC and the 2nd is DC(Server 2008r2 ent)), Sometimes we need to replace old computers to the new ones. But they have to to be named like the old ones. So sometimes after removing old comuter from the AD, we still have an error
message "Can`t rename, computer account is already exists" where else should we remove it????????

    Let's try the following:
    - configure the other domain controller as a Global Catalog - this should be the case in a single-domain forest
    - force the garbage collection by following http://blogs.technet.com/b/ad/archive/2009/03/24/taking-out-the-trash.aspx
Check the list of deleted objects again afterwards.
If this does not provide the resolution, restore the tombstone of one of the deleted computers (followhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.09.tombstones.aspx ),
rename it , and delete it
    hth
    Marcin
i`ve tried all of that except, configuring other Dc as GC, i ve found an article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737269(v=ws.10).aspx it
says that nothing would happen if two DC`s will be GC`s, but it vad not been written that this article aplies to win2008r2 only to earliests OS`s, so i`m affraid if something wrong will happen if i will promote another DC to GC, or i`m wrong??!
I couldn`t force garbage collection, but i`ve enabled log as you said, and it seems to be no trouble with it....
about the restoring tombstone.... i ve stuck on the step when i should search the deleted object, because search result "getting 0 entries"
The same thing is about the article that Sandesh Dubey had linked "http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd379509(v=ws.10).aspx"
if i am not wrong, i should go to Configuration in tree of ldp and then to the Deleted Objects, but it says that there is no children.
Please people be patience with me, i really am need your help!

I found a semi-related webpage that at least lists the same Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager and 1057. However I'm running Windows 7 64-bit edition and I seriously doubt I have a lack of available memory issue.

The relevant status code says that the "Object already exists" which I think is far more relevant then some memory issue. Do I have to delete some file or registry entry? Or is it a security issue?
Google search have come up with nothing. Any suggestions would be very helpful!

    Have a solution for you:
Download makecert.exe and generate new cert for RDP
makecert -r -pe -n "CN=server FQDN"  -eku 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1 -ss my -sr LocalMachine -sky exchange -sp "Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider" -sy 12"
Change server FQDN with real value.
Go to computer certificates and under remote desktop delete current certificate. Then from personal store move the newly created cert to Remote Desktop.  Open the cert and copy Thumbprint.
    Open regedit and go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations
Update SelfSignedCertificate key with new cert tumbprint.
    Restart Remote Desktop Services service

  • Central Administration not Available, STSADM password reset errors "job-admin-apppool-change" already exists

    Hi Everyone,
I think I've shot myself in the foot by not properly following set up instructions.
I have a two-fold problem.  Firstly, my Sharepoint Central Administration V4 site is showing
Service Not Available.  This seems to be related to the credentials the
Central Administration V4 Application Pool - hitting Test Settings within
IIS Manager for the site shows an Authentication and Authorization error for the credentials due to a bad password.
My reading indicates that I should run something to the effect of:
    %STSADM -o updatefarmcredentials -userlogin DOMAIN\username -password <new password as set via AD>
This runs into the following Error message
Error deploying administration application pool credentials. Another deployment may be active. An object of the type Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPAdminAppPoolCredentialDeploymentJobDefinition named "job-admin-apppool-change" already exists
under the parent Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPTimerService named "SPTimerV4".  Rename your object or delete the existing object.
I've tried searching out a solution but as yet have been unable to find a mechanism to resolve this error.  I have had a look through http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/b7c17dac-1cd1-4f75-a031-e28e4fbfd2f7 but
it doesn't seem to relate to the same problems - as far as I know the account from which the command is being run is a farm administrator and the problem seems to be the existing job rather than permissions errors.
Your help will be much appreciated.
    Stuart

    Hi Stuart Weaver,
Firstly, please check if the SharePoint 2010 timer service is running. If not, please start it manually, then check the effect. In addition to this, you can try to
run SharePoint configuration wizard, then check the effect.
Note: when you start the SharePoint 2010 timer service, make sure you input the latest password. The steps are as follows:
Open services.msc, locate the SharePoint 2010 timer service, double click it, then click log on tab, input the updated password, then click apply.
    Hope this helps.

  • Context-Root already exists in a deployed object

I have deployed an EAR project which includes a web module and an EJB module. Now when I right click on any jsp/html file inside my web module (in studio enterprise) to run the file, I get an error stating "Deploying application in domain failed; Context-Root already exists in a deployed object". It appears to be trying to deploy the web module as a stand alone module, but cant because the context root already exists in the EAR deployment. If I run the page from the broswer by typing in the proper URL, it works fine since it is not trying to redeploy.
If my assumption is true, why is it trying to re deploy as a stand alone module? What can I do to prevent this from happening?
    Thanks!

    - The ide, by default, performs the compile-deploy-run cycle when 'run' is selected. If you move to the 'Files' tab in the project window and expand nbproject|build-impl.xml file, you will see the ant targets used by the build system. Select 'run', right-click and select open; you will see 'run' target depends on run-deploy.
There are targets available that act on single files, namely compile-single and debug-single that you can try on single files.
You can also try copying the 'run' target to something like 'my-run' and remove the dependency on run-deploy. The you could select 'my-run' and select 'run-target' right-click menu item.
In general though, such workarounds are tricky. It is likely i am not understanding the issue here or perhaps it is a bug in the ide or even that ide cannot allow running without redeploy for valid reasons...
