Domain in Black, I-web won't Open

I was using file vault recover disk space when all the apps in dock disappeared i then opened my apps and put them back in the dock everything worked fine except I-web. It will not open. I went to User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain. Domain is in Black. I tried to reinstall I-web and it did not reinstall. What do we do????? Thank you.

Did not work. I may just have to clean everything out and start over. We are doing a site for Disabled American Veterans which i am a life member, and we do this for free of course. We do take the time to go thru the Manuals and web sites and 99.99% percent of the time we solve the problem and learn much more in the process. I will wait about 4 day's before I change up ok. My iPad just all of a sudden turn to black and now won't open. It is on as it is beeping. Doesn't make sound or power symbol come on when plugged in. How can this be fixed?

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that gets it to boot up ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo will hopefully appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I web won't open my domain but a blank page.. and all the files are there

When I double click my domain in the Applications folder in i web, I web opens but with no info inside it. If I open the folder it has all the data in it- How can I make i web open my domain with that data? thanks

Just so we're on the same page you mean when you double click on the domain file that's located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder, right?
if we're on the same page try the following:
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
launch iWeb and try again.
If that doesn't help continue with:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

ITunes Link On Web Won't Open In iTunes

All of a sudden when I click on a link on the web for an app, etc. that's supposed to open up the description on itunes, it doesn't work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and it still doesn't solve the problem. I'm running Windows 8 and haven't had a problem before. Windows asks what program I want to use to open up an itmss file and whether I select iTunes.exe or iTuneshelper.exe it doesn't work. Thanks in advance for any help.

When you attempt to play these files, do you hear anything?
try cleaning your PEK and CFA files:
1. Open Soundbooth, go to Edit>Preferences>Media... in Windows or Soundbooth>Preferences>Media... on OS X.
2. In the dialog box that opens, press all three buttons seen there.
3. Press OK to close the dialog. Re-import the problem files.
*Warning* This will clear all the files that Soundbooth uses to display the waveform and all the temporary uncompressed files that it uses.
What this means is that any file will need to be re-scanned upon opening. This is normal and the only down side is that it takes slightly longer to open files that you have previously opened. The upside is that you will free disk space.
Let me know if this works.

Iphone 4, camera is staying black or shutter won't open

My camera started not working today. First, the shutter just wouldn't open. Now, sometimes I can get the shutter to open, but the screen stays black/ blank. I've tried-
1) closing the app completely by double-clicking the home button and turning it off, and then reopening it
2) turning phone on and off
3) hard turn off on phone, by pressing and holding the home and power buttons until the Apple symbol appears
4) resetting all settings
5) resetting entire phone while updating to newest firmware, and setting it up as "new phone"
My phone was jailbroken, and I thought that might have somehow caused the issue. However, even after nuking it from orbit the camera phone doesn't work. I'm pretty much at a loss. I would say, as an additional note-- I feel like the phone has been running hotter than normal the last day or two. It's always hotter when I've just finished charging it, etc., but now it's often feeling like that even in normal use. I can't tell if I'm being paranoid, or if it's true.
What are my options from here? Is there anything else I can try? Is there any value in even going to the Genuis Bar?
The phone is long out of warranty and is out of contract as well. Does this seem like a hardware issue? At first, since the shutter wouldn't open on the app, I figured it was some sort of software issue. Now that I've done all the things I've listed above, and considering that the shutter now (sometimes) opens, and the screen is still black, I thought it might be a hardware issue/loose wire? The phone is 2.5 years old.

I'm sure if you brought it in & explained your situation they'd replace it or try to fix it. You could also call Apple Care & perhaps they would mail you replacement. I personally would call Apple Care & most likely they will suggest you update to latest update but ask first whether that would jeopardize returning it....I don't think it should but I'm a cautious person

How do I fix my messages if I sent a REALLY long message to someone and the messages just blacked out and won't open to show my conversations or anything?

I sent my friend a really long message of moons and spaces to **** her off for fun, and my messages froze, blacked out, and now they're blank and I can't click anything. I did it before on another day, and this never happened. Is this because the messages are still sending? Can I just backup and wipe my phone to fix it?

Sounds as though the messages app has crashed. Follow the below steps:
1. Double tap the home button, locate the messages app in the screen that appears and swipe up to force close it (assuming you're running iOS 7 on your device).
2. If the above doesn't work, then press and hold both the lock (on/off) switch and the home button at the same time, until the display turns blank, and the apple logo appears. Once the logo appears, release the buttons and wait for your device to power back on.
If neither of the above work, you may well need to complete a restore on your phone via iTunes.

When I go to the iTunes store, it won't open. I don't receive an error message of any kind, just a blank black screen. I have tried to access the store on other devices in my home and it works. All my music shows up in my library, but nothing will show up when I go to the actual store. I have updated my software and made sure the date/time are correct. I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment. Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT. I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.

I have a Mac running OS 10.8.5 and I use Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader. Today for some reason, any time I try and access a pdf file from a web page, it won't open. I get a blank window. PDF files already on my computer open fine and I can create PDF files from Word docs, but I can't download or view any pdf file from any web page. Strangely, PDF files on web pages open just fine on my iPhone.
I checked that both my copy of Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Reader are up-to-date. They are.
I checked that my copy of Firefox is up-to-date. It is. And nothing changed with Firefox within the last 24 hours.
I am a humble computer end-user. I am baffled as to why this would suddenly not work. I have not changed any settings, etc. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I checked your instructions you sent and as far as I can tell all of my settings, etc for Firefox (plugin updates and preferences) are correct but I am having the same problem.
However, everything works in Safari. I don't have time to attempt to diagnose why Firefox no longer works. I will just switch to Safari.

Links to web page in any mail message will cause Mail app to hang, and won't open Safari.

Repeatable problem on iPhone or iPad.
Any link to a web page will cause Mail to lock up and become unresponsive, and won't open the web page in Safari.
The only way out of this is to back out to the home screen, double-click on the home button, then select the Mail app icon, holding it until I can "close" it. I can then relaunch Mail and look at any message I want just like normal. But if select any link, whether a text link or a picture in an email, the whole thing happens again.
Occurs on both my iPhone 5 and my iPad both running iOS 6.0.1.

You ran a defective third-party "utility" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.
The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.

Captivate (5) project won't open in Web Browser

Hello,
Since a few weeks I can't open my projects in the web browser. Accept one of the projects (only questionslides), i have been searching for differents in the setttings but i couldn't find any differtens. When I publish the project in a .swf still the project won't open.
When I will get a preview in Web Browser or publish, the project is opening in the Web Browser and it looks like the project fade in and out in not even a second. A quick view of the background is visible . But i don't get any massage of error of something. And the page turn white.To preview the project in capitvate is no problem.
I hope somebody could help me out.

Safari download 5.0.2 still won't open a safari web page

Hello, can anyone please help?
Since downloading Safari 5.0.1 my safari won't open a web page, it says it is open but no tabs are open, trying apple button and T to open a tab a grey box shows up with my favourites bar says it is loadig then safari rashes before it can load anything. I have just downloaded 5.0.2 but it hasn't helped, I am still having the same problem.

Your problem is caused by the dreaded CT Toolbar!
That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
/Library/Application Support/Conduit
/Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
/Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist

PDF file won't open after saving it from the web. get error message file is damaged.

My PDF files won't open after saving them to Docs from the web. I get error message file is damaged. Can someone help me correct this problem on Mac Air w Mountain Lion?

I wonder if the image is being embedded somehow and there is not enough scratch disk space to render the file. Just a hunch. Check your hardrive to see how much free space is available. Also, check your RAM and see if you can upgrade ( install more, install much more ) to max out as much RAM as possible. At a minimum, check for fragmentation and do a "Correct Permissions" via Apple's Disk Utility.
But, weird things start happening when a font becomes corrupt. Not that one is, but it may be in your best interest to acquire a font management utility like Font Agent PRO ( if you don't have one already ). A good font management program can detect and disable corrupt fonts.
CS1 and OSX10.4 should be fairly compatable with the 7500, but you may have gone as far as you can go. Think about upgrading to a G4 or a G5. I believe the 7500 was pre G3 ( which I think is the minimum requirements for CS1 ).
