Domain, Integration Server and Intergration Directory is missing

Hi experts,
After system copy, I cant find the Domain, Integration Server and Intergration Directory for the new system in the Exchange Infrastructure. The source system and target system is using the same SLD.

Hello Thava
The XI components have not successfully registered in the SLD. Apply note #764176 Error in XI due to inconsistent SLD contents. If you stil have issues, search the forum for similar cases of "XI sld register" e.g. Adapter Engine no register in SLD..

We are using two different directory servers Sun java directory server and active directory.
My question is how we can have password synchronization between these two directory servers.

It seems that it's supported platforms is only for solaris and windows , but I have installed my Sun java directory server on linux and obviously it doesn't work for me.
I would be grateful if anyone can suggest a solution to work around this situation.
I have checked identity manager , I would like to know that if I can do this using this product.

Yes RHEL 4 is a supported OS with DSEE 6.0.
Identity Synchronization for Windows is a part of DSEE that allows synchronization of users, passwords and groups between Sun Directory Server and Active Directory bi-directionally without altering the users environments, ie it does not require that users change their current habits.
Identity Manager is a complete identity management solution that is targetting enterprise work flow when it comes to user provisioning and de-provisioning, but also allows to build authentication and password change forms that will provision the passwords to many different systems including Sun Directory Server and Active Directory but also IBM mainframes, legacy applications, databases...
If you are implementing a complete identity management solution, then go with Identity Manager. If you need a lightweight and fast solution for just synchronizing users and passwords between Sun DS and MS AD, Identity Synchronization for Windows should be your choice.

Mac OS X Server and Active Directory Replica

Has anyone ever encountered any problems when making a Mac OS X Leopard server an Active Directory Replica? We're working on this project and we want to make sure that we don't mess up our primary AD server when we configure this.

Not sure what you mean by Active Directory Replica? If you mean you want your Mac Server to be the BDC to a Windows-based PDC then no it won't happen. OSX Server can only perform as a Domain Member when a Windows Server is the PDC. Neither can you have a Windows Server as the BDC when the PDC is an OD Master - as far as I know.
Have you downloaded and read the manual?

Briefly: OD Master/Replica relationship can also be PDC/BDC only if both boxes are OSX.

How to change connection port between INTEGRATION SERVER and Adapter Engine

Hi,
I have scenario that in the productions server we are using SAP web dispatcher to connect to Adapter Engine for example the port is 60000.
So when we copy this server to DR environment the webdispatcher is not there. is that any way to change the all connection port between IS and Adapter from 60000 back to original port 50000 ?
Please advise ?

HI,
The waiting status is because of Message Queue is in wiating status. This may be because of overload of the messages, or may be your receiver systems is not ready etc.
SO go to SMQ2 and check the status of the queues.

OS X Server and Active Directory

I'm trying to use OS X Server 10.5 with Active Directory and have got to the stage where I can view AD users and groups in Workgroup Manager and have authenticated on the domain.
However, if I try and change a user's password I get "The password could not be set. The action failed because you are not authorized to perform the operation."
Also, if I try and create an account on the domain I receive the following - "Got unexpected error Error of type eDSNoStdMappingAvailable (-14140) on line 4267 of /SourceCache/WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-319/PMMUGMainView.mm".
I can delete accounts using Workgroup Manager and have confirm this has worked by checking in AD so can't understand what's going on.
Any help greatly appreciated!

OS X Server and Open Directory

I am trying to use a Mac Mini as an Open Directory domain, however it fails on the Open Directory Setup.
The exact error from the log is a below:
Server[308]: An error occurred while configuring webiken as a directory server:
Error Domain=XSActionErrorDomain Code=78 "Server returned a non-zero status code" UserInfo=0x7fb826114140 {NSLocalizedDescription=Server returned a non-zero status code}
Any ideas to what this may be?
FYI: I think this is due to my network configuration. I connect to the internet via Wifi and I have a switch for LAN traffic, but there's no way to give the switch internet access. Is there anyway I can limit the LAN traffic to only use ethernet (en0) and internet traffic to only use WiFi?

Not sure this will help, but OSX uses the top Interface for Internet...
10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.

Unable to Enterprise Service Repository and Intergration Directory in SAP PI 7.1

Hello Experts,
I am unable to open Enterprise Service Repository and Integration Directory in SAP PI. The error displayed while opening the tools is "Can not find Message File". I have tried installing Java versions from 1.5 to 1.7 .Also all the Host and Services files entry are correctly pasted in drivers--> etc--> folder. But still the problem persists... Would request you help me on this so that i can start my work. Please find the below error screen shot... Thanks a lot in advance.

Apple Mail Server and Active Directory

Has anyone had any luck in using Active Directory (2003) as the directory service with an Apple Mail Server? We're testing it out, but we're unable to enable mail services for users on teh Mac server.
If anyone has tried this and can offer up some tips, I'd be grateful!

I also discovered that Mac users who have valid accounts in AD 2003 can't have an email account in WGM enabled for them (WGM acts like its enabling email but then reverts back to "disabled"). I assume the account must be configured in the Active Directory Users and Groups admin tool before it can be enabled in WGM on the OS X email server, but I havent had any luck getting it to work yet.

Collab Server and Knowledge Directory

Hi. My question is similar to Elaine's (post before this). The Collab Admin Guide deals with publishing to the Knowledge Directory. From reading page 3-5, is there a way to use this functionality, edit some config settings, and publish to a completely different server?

if you have AD and Exchange running you can create a distrobution group for email purposes. So if you create a distrobution group called testgroup the members of that group will recieve email at [email protected] and all members of the group recieve the email.
Will apple's mail server, which i see it can see the groups from AD, do the same thing?

No Connection between EIS console and the Integration Server

HI,
EPM System 11.1.2.2
1. I have Integration Server and Oracle on the same machine (windows 2008 R2 x64).
2. I have created ODBC(system DSN) on the same server.
3. I have a client machine (windows 7 x64) on which EIS console has installed.
4. Error while connecting to the Server with IP address, the Catalog ODBC DSN drop down keeps on loading and results in No connection error.
Tried:
1. Created a ODBC with the same name as on the Server, ODBC has created. But from EIS Console, I enter the IP address of the Integration server, click on Catalog ODBC DSN, no connection error.
No errors on Server log.
The Port 3388 is opened.
From Shell:
Used the command LOGIN xx.x.x.x
Results in Network error xxx.x.x.x:1423
Essbase Server is just fine and can be connected from the same client machine from smartview,MAxl, EAS
The same worked for me on different environment.
Any suggestions would be apprecaited!!!

Security and encryption inside Integration Server

Hi,
is it possible to encrypt the entire message process INSIDE PI. I don't mean "Adapter-Inbound" or "Adapter Outbound" communication, but rather "Adapter-to-Integration Server" and "Integration-Server-to-Adapter"?
For example, that the message payload cannot be seen in SXMB_MONI etc.
A potential scenario are HCM payroll data exchange.

1) Do not log the message (check the blog: /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2007/04/30/xipi-personalized-logging-tracing) ....monitoring may not be possible then.
2) restrict the user from viewing the payload....adding new-users to the no-view list to be managed by the Admins
3) Make use of java logic in adapter module to encode the message before passing it to SXMB_MONI.....not all adapters support modules...complexity increases....decoding logic at receiving end required
4) Make use of com.sap.security.api.ssf...disadvantages same as for point 3.

Please advise kindly how to rebuild a remote wdsl... We have many BPEL processes in a remote Integration server and I need to rebuild one of them after some correction was done in its .xsl file.
When I right-click on the process name in the Jdeveloper list and chose "Rebuild", it is compiled without errors, but with the message as "Warning: The file http://.........wsdl is not part of the active project Project1.jpr, compiled class will be written to Project1.jpr output directory". (But I have no "Project1.jpr") How to get the compiled results to be deployed in the remote Integration server where needed?
Please help kindly...

1) Business Process Engine is the runtime component for the execution of integration processes on the
     Integration Server.
    The Business Process Engine can execute integration processes. It communicates with the Integration

¡        Logical receivers are determined by logical routing.
¡        Technical receiver information is defined by technical routing.
In this way, the logical receiver is separated from the technical receiver, which simplifies the exchange of technical addresses (of an application server, for example) without affecting the logically defined superordinate collaborative process.
·        Using the configuration, the Integration Engine determines whether a mapping needs to be executed. If a mapping does need to be executed, it determines it and calls the mapping program

Logical System for Role Integration Server

Dear all,
I need your help to clear my confuse.From ID I had assign business system as defined by Role Integration Server but when I check Adapter-Specific Identifiers, nothing show in Logical System. I already define Logical system in SLD. but I'm not sure incase of Role Integration Server will show logical system same with role Application System or not. becasue the other one as role Application System it's fine.

I could not clearly understand your question .But i think you want to know the roles of the Integration server and Application system.I would like to share some thing on their difference .Hope this will clearify you.
A business system can be configured as an Integration server or Application system:
Integration Server
The Integration server executes only integration logic available Integration Builder. They can also be identified as Pipe Line Steps. It receives XML message, determines the receiver, executes the mappings, and routes the XML message to the corresponding receiver systems. Thus configured Integration Engine is identified to be Central Configured Integration engine.
Note: Only one client of SAP system can be configured as Integration Server.
Application system
The Application system will not execute the integration logic. It in turn calls the integration server to execute the integration logic if required. It acts as sender or receiver of XML messages. So, the Application system with a local Integration Engine requires the Integration server to execute the integration logic
