Domain name shows up twice

I have built a website in IWeb and published it. I have a domain name and I linked it using cname. It works but it shows my domain name twice, like so: www.domain/domain/page.
Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. The domain name is showing up twice because you named your site with your domain name. If you rename your site you will get www.domainname.com/sitename/pagename.html. This is standard.
Where are you hosting your site?

Domain name showing instead of DisplayName (DN Error)

For a portion of our users, myself included the Domain\UserName shows in sharepoint but for the majority of users it shows the display name fine.
I've done a full user profile synch today and also restarted the Forefront Identity Manager Service & Synch but it's still nto fixed.
The weird thing is from seeing other people's problems they generally have everyone with domain name but it's a mixture here on my farm.
Here's the error from the Application log;

Right now got the service running again, but the following powershell error - can anyone explain please? Can i just paste a powershell command in and it work?? Firstly go the UP GUID from Get-SPServiceInstance and then tried to run

Old Domain Name showing in User Profiles

Sharepoint User Profile Sync is showing some users with our Old Domain name (from years ago). This domain name is NOT in our Active Directory. I'm guessing that the profiles that show the old domain name must have been in our Sharepoint
2007 and got ported over when we upgraded to Sharepoint 2010.
This is causing conflicts and some workflows not to work (ones where its looking up a user's profile). And when I look in Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager, there are some users listed with this error: Exception while trying to migrate user "abc\johndoe"
to "xyz\johndoe".. Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: The user does not exist or is not unique.......
("abc" being the old domain name...and "xyz" being our current domain name)
I'm wondering what is the best way to get rid of the old domain name in our Sharepoint 2010 user profiles? Should I update them in the User Profile database in SQL?
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Also, in Central Admin under Health monitoring, we have this message
"People search relevance is not optimized when the Active Directory has errors in the manager reporting structure. In Active Directory, only company leaders should have the 'manager' property set to NULL. As a result of errors, the Active Directory can
incorrectly have the 'manager' property set to NULL for other users that can cause a decrease in people search relevance. By specifying the actual leaders of
the company, these inconsistencies are not taken into account and the relevance problem is corrected.
Remedy
Specify the company leaders explicitly. Use the following PowerShell
commands: $upap = Get-SPServiceApplicationProxy [appid]; Add-SPProfileLeader
$upap [Domain]\[UserName]. Run 'Get-SPProfileLeader $upap' to check whether the
leader was successfully added. As a last step, run a full crawl on the content
source containing the start address (URL) of the user profile application.

If Mysite Clean Up job is running then this issue should be fixed(removed all old profiles) in couple of User Profile Sync( Full followed by couple of Incremental). Basically, FIMs
responsible to mark the user as deleted within the UPA then CleanUp Job purge these profile.

How many users you are seeing, are they showed in the Profile missing options? if less numbers then you can simply remove the IDs from USer Profile manually.

Change domain name in URL box

Hi there,
I have updated the domain name for a client's website and followed the proceedure from other discussions I saw on the subject. It works fine to export and publish using the udated domain name, but the old name still shows up in the URL box on the live site. How do I update that so the new domain name shows up after the site is opened?

Hi Mary,
Your domain agsgaming.com (managed by NAMECHEAP.COM) has a 302 Redirect setup to forward to http://www.americangamingsystems.com.
You would need to contact your domain registrar to fix this redirect for you or help you fix that.

How to deny other hostname or domain name pointing to same IP address in MySQL

Im using Cento 6.5
and
MySQL version 5.6.25
For example:
IP address:
192.168.1.250
this IP has 2 domain name
1. db.mysqldatabase.com
2. web.mysite.com
i want to block or deny the 2nd domain name in database hostname
if i update our Mysql Connection should be like this

$db=mysql_select_db("db_demo",$connection);
?>
But if i use also web.mysite.com i still connected i want to use web.mysite.com as my url website
and db.mysqldatabase.com as my database connection.
is it possible?

Hi Linda, are you referring to the Domain Name showing in the Connectivity Tab of the Linksyssmartwifi utility? The Domain Name is automatically assigned by Comcast. This setting will depend on the type of internet connection that is set up for you by your ISP. Can you give me more details of your Internet connection set up? I'd like to see how it goes. Did Comcast provide you a new Domain Name?

IWeb iWebSites. Aussie Domain Names. Search Engines and Business

Hi Everyone,
I am starting a business in Australia. I'm experimenting with my iWeb sites. I can publish and URL forward to seperate sites on my iDisk. I'm working with iWebSites and have just discovered iWeb SEO Tool, but not tried it yet.
I have several .net.au domain names which can be url forwarded to my web pages on iDisc.
At present I'm having no luck with my domain names showing up on Google Searches. I'm experimentig with Google Webmaster tools. Further suggestios would be appreciated.
I read on a recent post that .Mac (.ME) iWeb was maybe not the best for business.
As I live in Australia, would I benefit from having my web pages on Australiam servers? OR Can I solve the issues and continue with my .Mac (.ME) subscription and save extra expense?

It is always beneficial to have a website with a domain that is local to the market you serve. However, once you have created your XML sitemap and submitted to Google Webmaster Tools you can tell Google that your website is geared towards the Australian market.
Google has confirmed that this is just as beneficial as having a local domain name for your country.
However I do recommend you get a proper host and an Australian domain name for the best results. You can pay as little as $60.00/year for everything. These are the reasons;
1) If you plan on doing this later on it is always better to have a domain name with a longer history
2) You have a better chance of ranking higher if you have your own domain name with your company's name in it, or your targeted keywords, than if you use a me.com address
3) If you build up incoming links and then decide to switch to a domain name you will lose all of your link popularity that you have built up. The more people who link to your site, the better chance of ranking high for your keywords.

So, as discussed the main issues are:
1) The TOC doesn't generate all the listings (only those with the applied paragraph style "Heading 1 - Appendix")
2) When I try to create a new pargraph style and apply it to existing or new text, it reads the pargraph style in the Paragraph Style menu, but the style doesn't actually apply.
Hopefully you can figure something out from this. I really appreciate your help.

Running Windows 7, all versions of Firefox beyond 3.6.0 will not access websites, showing Error 404 and displaying only the portion of the URL that follows the domain name

Choosing any of several dozen bookmarks, Firefox will show a screen reporting Error 404 and display only part of the complete URL (whatever follows the slant mark beyond the domain name). When going to a new site, such as provided by a Google search, the initial page may show up but clicking on links within that page again brings up the 404 error. My only solution has been to uninstall whatever new version of Firefox has been automatically downloaded and then re-install version 3.6.0, which works.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

have the same issue on my 9630 after upgrading to 624 version. It momentarily shows the previously callers information before showing the new caller's info.

I have an IDNs domain name, with chinese words. but firefox cant show the chinese words and only show the punycode, it make the IDNs meaniingless and even worrst then a long english domain name. pls help

Only domains that are white-listed show as real text.<br />
Otherwise you see punycode.
If you want to see the IDN then you need to create a new Boolean pref network.IDN.whitelist.ws and set the value to true.<br />

VG224 - some ports show "unregistered" after changing domain name

hi,
recently i have changed the domain name of a VG224, before the change, all ports shows "registered" from the CUCM.
after I changed the domain name from VG224 and CUCM, the VG224 can be registered to CUCM, and some ports can register too...only serveral ports showing "unregistered" in the CUCM. But from the VG224, everything is normal. and call/ fax can be made successfully from those "unregistered" ports.
anyone has idea what's going on?

Reset or reload the gateway.
Further Problem Description:
The proper way of changing a gateway's domain name is:
- Stop Gateway's mgcp service (gateway command: no mgcp)
- Chnage the domain name in the gateway and in CCM.
- Start Gateway's mgcp service (gateway command: mgcp)

Names showing twice in Birthday calander???

Hello,
Last night I synced my Contacts between my iPhone and Mobile with my Mac (which had a blank address book).
I was sure I had selected to Replace The Data on the Mac, but what happened was that all my contacts got erased on the iPhone and MobileMe.
I was able to put them back together fairly quickly, but I now gave two birthday calanders on my iPhone. Everybody's name is shown twice on their birthday.
I only want to the built in bithday calander that use the data in the Contacts App.
Also the little red gift icon doesn't show.
Hue can I fix this?

Bpel console not showing domain name

i have installed a new jdev 10.1.3.1 and also have 10.1.2. first version is working fine examples but bpel console is not showing domain name in 10.1.2.
pls anyone can tell me what may be the problem.Is it bcoz of two version in same machine.?? Its urgent help out............

this is understandable - at per default we use oracle lite - which only allows ONE installation on a windows system ..
to run both in paralell you have to install a db and create the 2 schemas (10.1.2.0.2 and 10.1.3.1) - I posted a blog note on this ..

Domain name appears twice!

I use iWeb to post three different websites, but every time that I log to the first (main) website, the domain name appears as:
http://www.MYNAME.com/www.MYNAME.com
instead of just showing the domain once (http://www.MYNAME.com)
Does someone have any idea about how to fix it?

Go into iWeb and change the name of your site in the top left corner. This happens when you name your site within iWeb the same as your domain name. Change it to something like Site so your site will then come up as http://www.mydomain.com/Site/index.html.
If you don't like this, then take your site off CNAME and forward using ordinary web forwarding by forwarding your domain to web.me.com/username/sitename.
You did not say whether your are publishing to MMe or not? If you are uploading directly, the only thing you can do is change the site name to something different as I suggested.

I tested the FTP connection and says good, but nothing shows up on my domain name address?

I have a 3 page website built in iWeb. Tested the connection after entering my domain and FTP user info, said "test successful". I go to my domain name and all it says in "coming soon" for the past 36+ hours. I contacted GoDaddy to ensure it wasn't them, they assured all was well.
How can I get this website PUBLISHED???
I even tried save to folder and it doesn't show up in the folder. Also, now the "Publish" button and "Visit" button are greayed out?
Please help, I open my diner Saturday and have a radio ad driving traffic to a non-existent website!!

Set the publish destination to the Desktop and use the File ➙ Publish Entire site menu option to publish the site. It will result in your site folder, an index.html file and an asset file on your Desktop.
You can always publish your site to a designated folder on your hard drive and use the free FTP client Cyberduck to upload the site folder and index.thml file to your server. With CD you can see your root folder on the server as if in a Finder window. With iWeb you're shooting blind.
What's the URL of your site so we can check there first hand?
