Domain's "$DOMAIN-diagnostic.log" file contains only incident reports

Domain's "$DOMAIN-diagnostic.log" file contains only incident reports
In OSB 11.1.1.4.0, the domain's $DOMAIN-diagnostic.log file contains ONLY lines like:
[2011-04-18T11:40:55.362+10:00] [CWSOATS2_OSB1] [NOTIFICATION] [DFW-40104] [oracle.dfw.incident] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <WLS Kernel>] [ecid: a9082073e3c17b68:4cae68eb:12f662ee536:-8000-0000000000000634,0] [errid: 16] [detailLoc: e:\wldom\cwsoats2\servers\cwsoats2_osb1\adr\diag\ofm\cwsoats2\cwsoats2_osb1\incident\incdir_16] [probKey: BEA-337 [WebLogicServer]] incident 16 created with problem key "BEA-337 [WebLogicServer]"
Previously, this file would contain a record of the activity of my JCA DBAdapter polling adapters.
I have seen this on all instances of OSB 11.1.1.4.0 to which I have access (all on Windows: desktop Win7 and server 2003R2).
Googling hasn't explained this to me: what this really means; why it occurs and what actions (if any) are needed to rectify this situation.
Can some kind member of this forum clarify things, please?

Hi,
Do you mean that when you remove the user’s workstation computer accout from AD then re-add it, the user still can use these "elevated" privileges to access other user directories?
Please check the permssions of the user directory network share on the user’s workstation to see if the permissions are the same with other worksatations. If you enable the offline files on the user’s workstation, please also disable the offline files to check
the results.
Best Regards,
Mandy

  • VO ExecuteQuery in diagnostic log file.

    Hi am using JDeveloper 11.1.2.0.0
I have developed a simple ADF application using view based VO, with ViewCriteria in it and Am currently focussing on the application tuning, so that to execute the VO minimal time.
Now while running the application with logging enabled to finest level, i want to see when and all the VO query got executed.
While analysing the diagnostic log file I can see 2 query statement for each action corresponds to any individual VO.
One mere SELECT STATEMENT and the other SELECT STATEMENT with WHERE CLAUSE.
Although it is expected that the SELECT STATEMENT with WHERE CLAUSE will only be executed, how can we confirm the execution of Query, from the diagnostic-log file (Any KEYWORD inthe log file confirming the execution of VO like 'executeQuery').
While dubuging I noticed that several times the VO iterator is executed based on different refresh condition given in the pageDef.
On this scenario how can we differentiate that whether VO is Querying the DB or it is caching the data.
Can anyone pls help me to identify the executeQuery statement of VO Query from the log file.
Any suggestion or information pointers will be helpful..
    Thanks and Regards,
    M A P.

SOA 11g diagnostic logs can be done within the fusion middleware control gui app ( "soa-infra" -> logs -> log configuration ).
OSB servers have a logging config file:
    {domain_home}/config/fmwconfig/servers/{managed_server}/logging.xml
    with default settings:
    <property name='path' value='${domain.home}/servers/${weblogic.Name}/logs/${weblogic.Name}-diagnostic.log'/>
    <property name='maxFileSize' value='10485760'/>
    <property name='maxLogSize' value='104857600'/>

  • SOA Server Diagnostic log files Archive Directory

    Hello all,
we know that the soa server logs would be there under servers/soa_server1/logs/
So, as the file size grows i mean the soa_server1-diagnostic.log, they should be kept somewhere in the archive right...so where should i set the directory for archive files...and how to set the size of the archive files...can anyone please tell me how to do this...may be a documentation on that would be very helpful for me...
    Thanks,

    Hi Naresh,
If i understand correctly u want to rotate the log files based on size in soa 11g.
If so, log into EM console. Right click on soa-infra->Logs ->Log configuration.
Select the Log Files tab. Choose odl-handler and edit the configuration. You can fix the rotation of log files based on size as well as time.
The log path would be $user_projects/domains/domain_name/servers/soa_server1/logs/soa_server1-diagnostic.log.
    Hope this helps u

  • Which log file contains System.err output?

If I start weblogic using startWebLogic.cmd then output sent to System.err gets
output to the console window that opens up. However, if I instead start weblogic
as a service, nothing sent to System.err gets output to the weblogic.log file.
    Where does it go?

    Hi there,
My message was borne of 2 days frustration out of nearly a year of smooth operations with Oracle App Server. Unfortunately I let my mouth (or fingers) run off with those frustrations and made a post that was innappropriate and un-necessary and like every bad workman I blamed my tools.
My apologies for that. Having found where the OPMN logs are stored (and it's pretty obvious to anyone who isn't seeing through a red mist!) I have now fixed my issue pretty quickly.
Thanks for your patience glin - OAS and JDev together have in this past year have served me well and as you say are in general pretty straight forward to use. (My frustration was due to J2EE ClassLoaders, they always cause me some kind of headache somewhere!)
    Best Regards,
    Happy Holidays!

I know why I am getting that error. some of the users are missing some required attributes so the error is coming .

Million dollar question here how would I know which user have this problem ?
SO I was thinking if I can see any log that is aviable when the report is running so I can look in to and find where exactly it was stuck.
Can any one tell me when running the report is there any log file created or any log file that shows any where I can see what exactly the problem is .
    Thank You for your help

    Hi,
    Please mention the application release.
but for a single workstation when try to run the report, after showing the report parameter, when pressing the button ,it display the login screen. What is the difference between this single machine and other machines?
What is the desktop OS and the browser?
Does the issue happen with one specific report or with all reports?
Can you find any errors in the JRE/Jinitiator console window?
Try to clear the browser/Jinitiator cache and history and see if you can reproduce the issue then. Also, try from the same machine using a different browser (if possible) and check then.
    Thanks,

  • At least one of the input binary log files contain fewer than two data samples.

    Hi Guys,
I encountered this error, when I stop the my defined collection set and try to see the related report in Performance Monitor. I searched on the Internet says that a fast start/stop man end without enough counter data being collected. However, it seems not
the case in my scenario. I set the sample interval to 15 seconds (default) and run the collection set more than 1.5 days.
By the way, I monitor the Windows Server 2008 SP1 server on a remote Windows 7 SP1, both of them are 64-bits. Only general performance counters are added such as CPU, DISK related. I am looking forward to your help. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I forgot to say, I set up a same data collector on the local computer (Windows 7 box), this does not happen. So, I believe I must has some configuration issues for remote monitor.

    Hi,
It works locally but  not remotely. I monitor Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 (Enterprise 64-bit) remotely on Windows 7 SP1 (Ultimate, 64-bit), I start PerfMon using a domain account which is local administrator on both server boxes. I get a .cab files
for each data collection set, size from 1KB to 3KB. The sample internal is default 15 seconds and I believe the data collection set was started for more than 15 seconds or even hours. Here are steps to reproduce this issue:
On Win7 box, open performance monitor (PerfMon)
Connect to the remote WinSrv box
Create a data collection set, and add the following counters using default 15 seconds sample internal
     Processor(*)\% Privileged Time
     Processor(*)\% Processor Time
Save and Start data collection set
After more than 15 seconds or even hours, I get the above error message.
    Thanks in advance.

  • .fla file contains only 1 frame

I am attempting to open a .fla file in Flash Professional CS6.  When I open the .fla file, everything is compressed into a single frame and all the animation paths, tweening, etc. are gone.  I cannot play the file, as there is only a single frame.
I do not know what version of Flash the original .fla file was created in, but I do have the working .swf file, which validates as SWF version 8.
I have successfully opened other .fla files and edited them.  I am running CS6 on a Windows XP laptop.
Is the problem on my side, or possibly with the original files?  Is there a compatabilty issue when opening fla files created in older versions of Flash?
    Thanks for your help.

"Play" is not an option (grayed out in Control menu).  If I "Test Movie" the SWF file just shows all the layers mushed together.
I cannot include a full screenshot or the original files here since they are part of a yet-to-be-released ad campaign.
Here is a portion of what I am seeing.

  • How to view servlet container log file

I have just switched to Sun Creator from netbeans. How do I view the log file containing output from "System.err.println( "in Handler" )" in my java code?
    Thanks,
    Werner

    Figured it out.
To view the Sun JavaTM System Application Server Platform Edition 8.2 log file:
In the Servers window, right-click the Deployment Server node and choose View Server Log.
In any text editor, open the log file in the following location: install-directory\SunAppServer8\domains\creator\logs\server.log

  • Rule created to monitor a single line entries in a text.log file does not work

    Hi All,
I have this strange issue. I created a script which generates .log file and i have configured a rule to monitor it. Whenever the .log is altered the alert does not come at all in SCOM 2012 R2.
I want this alert to be raised when one specific line in the center is altered from LISTENING to NOT LISTENING.
I have configured it. It triggered a alert for the first time and again it did not trigger at all.
I created this rule and disabled it and overrided the value to true only to the MS acting as the watcher for this log file.
The log file generates in the local drive of the MS itself.
Changed the log watcher to a different server and also mentioned the application data source to a network location when the watcher was changed so it can pull the log accordingly.
The log is generated in the MS itself. Tried using both local location where the log is located as well as converted the same to a network location still didn't help.
C:\Port_checker is the directory where the .log file is located also there is no other log file present only 1.
I also changed the parameters such as "Contains, Wildcard matches etc but nothing worked.
    Screenshots:
    2.
The SCOM Action account has Full permissions on all servers over the entire forest itself.
Target used to create this rule is "Windows server operating system"
Can any one help me please.

Since you have a script that updates a file line from "LISTENING" to "NOT LISTENING"
you might want to try and configure a Two State Script Unit Monitor rather then a rule. So your script just need to check say every 5 minutes the content of the log file and generate an alert when it matches "Not Listening" and clear when
    it changes to "listening".

    Jim,
Check this link out for how to drop a redo log file
Make sure a redo log group is archived (if archiving is enabled) before dropping it. To see whether this has happened, use the V$LOG view.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14231/onlineredo.htm#i1006489
    SELECT GROUP#, ARCHIVED, STATUS FROM V$LOG;
       GROUP# ARC STATUS
            1 YES ACTIVE
            2 NO  CURRENT
            3 YES INACTIVE
            4 YES INACTIVE
Drop a redo log group with the SQL statement ALTER DATABASE with the DROP LOGFILE clause.
The following statement drops redo log group number 3:
    ALTER DATABASE DROP LOGFILE GROUP 3;

  • Change block size for several log-files simultaneously?

    Hi,
I'm using SignalExpress to record and analyze data.
Sometimes I want to analyze the recorded data both for a short period of time and for longer time.
(Imagine creating an average of every second first and then an average of every 10 seconds)
Then I need to change all the log-files, and also the specific parts of the log-file. See attachment.
I have sometimes up to 1000 log-files containing signals from 4 different modules, that makes 4000 adjustments to change from block size 10000 to block size 1000.
Is there any way to adjust all the log-files block size at once?
    Many thanks!

  • Log file in Sql*Loader

    Hi,
Sql loader always creates the logfile with same name as .ctl file,
but i want log file should get created in case of unsuccessful run
not in case of successful run.
    Is this possible.
    Regards,
    SS

I don’t think it is possible to suppress log file generation on successful run. The Log file contains a detailed summary of the load and helps you to identify successful/fail load.
