Domain User Removed due this hyperion configurations went to failed.

Hi All,
In our hyperion application domain user deactivated (removed). due to this our both hyperion financial management (HFM) and Financial data quality management (FDQM) configurations went to Configurations faield and we getting error message while logging into FDQM saying that "Primary Load balance server is unavailable -- attempting to use backup Load balance server" After that again we reactivated the domain user now application is up and running.
Again I tried to re-config (after re-actived domin user)the both HFM & FDQM configurations unfortunatully I am getting faild status.
But still configuration was in red mode only (Configuration failed). we cann't keep this domain user id no longer (Becaues it is related one user is no more with the organisation).
We want to create the new domain user & we need to re-config the both HFM & FDQM configurations.
Could you please help me out how to do this.
Thanks,

Thanks for your suggestion,
But still I have some questions could you please clarify me.
1. The movement we removed domain user the FDM & HFM configuration went Configurations failed (RedMark) status (Configure FDM Server, Configure DCOM, Configure Application Server)
2. How we can bring back to Configured (Green Mark) status.
3. I hope if we create new domain user we need to re-config (Configure DCOM) but I am not sure about this.
4. In case failure the new domain does it impact the Application & Data?
Could you please help me out what needs to be done.
Note: What ever domain user we removed earlier, we re-activated the same and application is up & running, but configurations still in with Red Mark but the problem is we can't continue this domain id because it is linked with user id.

  • How to know RAC 11g R2 is installed Using Local User or Domain User on Win

We need to identify whether a local User or a domain User is Used to install 11g R2 Clusterware on Windows 2008.
    Here is background:
Oracle 11g R2 RAC is configured on 2 windows 2008 servers.
User "oracle" is used to installed that RAC but we dont know whether local "oracle" user or domain "oracle" user is used to install this RAC.
"oracle" user is present in both the servers as a local user as well as a domain user.
Due to security reasons we need to remove this local "oracle" user but without knowing which user is installation user for rac we cant remove as this will disturb whole rac setup.
Please sugest me some solution ......

Right click on any folder from oracle home -> Security (tab) -> Advance -> Owner.
This will show you who owns this folder and that should be the user who did this installation. You may see 2 users where, one will be local administrator and second one will be the user who did installation.

  • Cannot connect to SERVER. Login failed for user 'DOMAIN\user'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error 18456) - SQL Server 2012 on Windows Server 2008 R2

I've seen multiple blogs and forums with similar problems and SQL 2012 or 2008. But no solutions that work for me.
I have installed SQL Server in mixed mode (SQL and Windows authentication). I can create new Login accounts in either mode. However, I cannot get an AD security group Login account to work. I am trying to add group 'DOMAIN\Domain Admins' or 'SERVER\Administrators'
as a Login so that any of the domain's administrator accounts can open SQL Server Management Studio and act as an 'sa' account on this server.
I have deleted the SQL account 'DOMAIN\Domain Admins'.
    I have restarted SQL.
I have restarted the Win2K8r2 server.
I have launched SSMS as Administrator from the desktop of SERVER.
I have launched SSMS as another user (and used 'DOMAIN\user' to lauch it) from the desktop of SERVER.
I can create a login account named 'DOMAIN\user' (who happens to be a member of the 'DOMAIN\Domain Admins' group) and give this account 'sa' security, and when I do that, this account works as expected...
How do I add a security group as a Login account and give all members of that group the ability to be an 'sa' account?

    Hi geoperkins,
Are you getting the following error message?
    Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 11
Login failed for user <Domain\user>. Reason: Token-based server access validation failed with an infrastructure error.
If that is the case, the issue could be due to that the Windows login has no profile or that permissions could not be checked due to UAC. Please disable UAC firstly and check if it is successful to log in SQL Server.
Another reason could be that the domain controller could not be reached. You may need to resort to re-creating the login. Create a new group in AD, add users to the new group, then add the group to the local admin group and create login for the group in SQL
    Server.
There is a connect item describing similar issue for your reference.

  • UAC allowing standard domain user to elevate without providing credentials

I don't understand how this is occurring. We created a test user on our domain. Its only group membership is Domain Users. UAC is behaving quite different depending on which computer we test the account on.
When I login to my computer with the test user, UAC prompts me to provide an administrator username/password whenever I try to run something that requires elevated rights (for example: IE "Run as Administrator", compmgmt.msc via right-clicking
Computer and choosing "Manage", accessing another user's folder in c:\users)
When I login using the same test user to my colleague's computer (which was imaged and deployed at the same time), any of the above examples will elevate with a simple click of "Yes" or "Continue" to the UAC prompt. UAC does not prompt
for administrator credentials in this case and this standard Domain User account suddenly has local admin rights! How can this happen?

    Hi,
Regarding the UAC issue mentioned, here are some suggestions:
    . Change the UAC settings to a higher mode;
    . Run gpupdate /force, then log off, then log on and check;
. Check to see if any
    local UAC policies configured;
    . Log on the Problematic computer with this test user and check the group membership;
. Create a new domain user and recheck this issue.
    Best regards

  • Can I get the members of Domain Users group (AD specific) with JNDI?

    Hi All,
I've found these forums very helpful and full of great information, I've been able to retrieve all members of groups that I search for (from the information on this forum), and get the member's attributes such as email addresses through that.
The question I have is, is there a way to query the Domain Users group, since it's a special group in Active Directory, and retrieve the members of it? So far I have been unsuccessful. Here's a query I found that works on .Net:
    (|(&({ClassFilter})(memberOf={GroupDistinguishedName}))(distinguishedName={G
    roupDistinguishedName}))
I haven't been able to get it to work with JNDI however. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    thanks,
    Matt

It's not so much that the Domain Users is a special group, it's more that because by default, all users have their Primary Group set to Domain Users, that it appears to behave differently.
So the query that you're trying to execute via JNDI, would be something like:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com))";And of course if everything has been left to defaults, it doesn't return any results.
Similarly if you look at the member attribute of Domain Users, it will be empty.
Assuming the defaults, and every user's Primary Group is set to Domain Users, the following query would return all the user's whose primary group is Domain Users:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(PrimaryGroupID=513))";Note that 513 is the Relative ID (RID) for Domain Users.
Now if you set a user's Primary Group to be something other than Domain Users, then the Domain Users group would now have a value
for it's member attribute and conversely the respective user would now have Domain Users as one of the values of their memberOf attribute.
So then your query would be something like:
    String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=User)(|(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com)(PrimaryGroupID=513))){code}
I guess the fundamental question, is why do you need to determine whuch users are members of Domain Users ?
If this is for usie in an application, where the user has authenticated and you are using group membership to make authorisation decisions, perhaps the constructed tokenGroups attribute may be more useful  as it contains the Security Identifiers (SID) for all the groups the user is a member of ?

  • Skipping request for user policy assignments due to agent configuration for authority

    Hello all,
    Symptoms:
The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:
    Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
    Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
    The Confugration Manager:
shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
    Done so far (without success):
    Re-installed the MP
Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.
    Installed version 5.00.7958.1000
    CCM Framework: 5.00.7958.1203
The computer is installed with a task sequence. There is a reboot after 'Setup Windows and ConfigMgr (CM2012 R2 CU1)'.
Installation command of the SCCM Client (during OSD deployment):

  • Want to configure a GPO "Stop (domain) users [having admin rights] from installing software"

Want to configure a GPO "Stop (domain) users [having admin rights for some particular users]  from installing/uninstalling software"
    Requirements :-
    1. Domain user should not be allowed to install/uninstall any software's. Rest all the actions can be performed by the user like an administrator can do.
Please suggest if possible then how can I implement the same.

    Hi Amar Chand,
You can do so by using certain Group Policy settings to control the behavior of the Windows Installer, prevent certain programs from running or restrict via the Registry Editor. The Windows Installer, msiexec.exe, previously known as Microsoft Installer,
is an engine for the installation, maintenance, and removal of software on modern Microsoft Windows systems.
You can try the following method to resolve this issue:
Method 1: Disable or restrict the use of Windows Installer via Group Policy
Open “GPMC”, create a GPO linked to the correct scope. You can refer to this article
Create a new Group Policy object.
Right-click it, click Edit, and then navigate to
    Computer Configuration/Policies/Windows Components/Windows Installer.
In RHS pane double-click on Disable windows installer.
Click Enable and configure the option as required. "Always "option indicates that Windows Installer is disabled.
This setting affects Windows Installer only. It does not prevent users from using other methods to install and upgrade programs.
Click Apply to save this configuration.
Run gpupdate /force on the clients.
For your information, please refer to the following article to get more help:
Managing options for computers through Group Policy
    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/sag_wininstall_group_policy_computers.mspx?mfr=true
Method 2: Restrict Programs from being installed via Registry Editor
Open Registry Editor and navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun
Create String value with any name, like 1 and set its value to the program’s EXE file.
e.g., If you want to restrict msiexec, then create a String value
1 and set its value to msiexec.exe. If you want to restrict more programs, then simply create more String values with names 2, 3 and so on and set their values to the program’s exe.
Note: You may have to restart your computer.
In addition, if you choose this method, you could deploy the registry configuration via GPO. Please refer to the following article:
    Configure a Registry Item

  • HFM database configuration with domain user

I have ceated a DOMAIN user in MSSQL 2005 as hypadmpr. This user is give db owner and all credentials. When configuring the shared serice, under the data base creation window, i am putting the data base name\and instead of username of native user, i am putting the domain user hypadmpr and password:
It throws an error:unnable to connect to database Shared.
In stead if use it blank username and password/ or a SQL native user it works.
I heard that when using window authentication we need to be leave it blank for user and password.
wats the concept arround this...this can also be tested by a udl file:
just create a udl file and instead of SQL authentication try windows authenticationit it wont ask for username and password but the test connection will be succesfull.
how the domain user i am pulling in shared services get authentication is sql?
so all those domain user need to be given provisioning in SQL also?
its clear when not using windows auth. that one user with dbowner rights will be used when configuring HFM.Shared service will handle the restriction of the user.
But, when windows auth. the user auth.in shared service and to get in to data base he need to be again pulled in sql and give proper rights to it..
if its more than 100 users how its possible to do it sql?

I don't know Jack about Windows admin. Can you see someone's C:\ when logged in on their PC as a domain user? Are you using AD (Active Directory) for authenticaion? Grasping at straws....

    Hi,
Please understand that if you want make some specific domain users add/remove hardware/software on domain computers, you should grant these users the local admin right. We could grant the local
admin right using Restricted Groups Policy Settings or Local Users and Groups GPP setting. For details, please refer to the following articles.

    Krish,
Unfortunately, you are dealing with a situation that will require a lot of patients as this type of error is not easy to troubleshoot.

Are any of your other forms that work using WebUtil?  If no - then you may not have completed the WebUtil configuration completely.
The first troubleshooting step is to display the Java Console (Start => Control Panel => Java => Advanced tab => Java Console node => Show Console) as you may be getting an Java Exception that is not being reported through Forms.

  • I updated my iMac to lion and now when i leave my desktop and it goes into stand by it like a picture is taken of the screen and when i want to log in the mouse point removes pixels so i can get to the user login screen this never happened ith snow leopar

i upgraded my iMac to lion and now when i leave my desktop and it goes into stand by mode, its like a picture is taken of the actice desktop and when i want to log in the mouse point removes pixels so i can get to the user login screen this never happened ith snow leopard. does anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

I have an iMac 8, 1 that I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard.  It was totally updated with the latest from Apple when I bought and tried installing Lion.  The upgrade failed, shot my OS and I couldn't boot.  Had the constant spinner on a grey screen..  did a format of the drive, hdd repair and everything came back clean... got back to Snow Leopard and all the updates on it again and then retried the Lion thing... same bs... dead duck.  Crashed my system one too many times.  I can't see where a few small changes, mostly app related can be classified as an OS upgrade and is not compatible with my iMac.  I have the stuff running on my Mac Pro but have yet to notice anything impressive.  I've always used F3 and really didn't require Mission Control.  Just open you app folder for launch pad... duh?  I use the hot corners anyhow.  As far as Safari is concerned... as a power user, Apple missed the boat on that for me.. full screen etc.. Wow.  I don't like the new Mail either..
As you can see/read, I'm less than impressed with this release from Apple but I own so many of their products that I will have to put up with it for now... somehow the MS logo should apply to this release Steve.

  • I have got both a workgroup & domain user accounts and wish to change this to one account (Win XP)

    To All,
I know that this sounds a little daft. When I joined my two Win XP clients onto my 2003 Server Domain and since after this I have encountered "multiple" user accounts bearing the same name.
My clients are "REB2 & REB3" and when I logged into both of these as my Domain I have encountered "separate" accounts for the same User Name in mt Active Directory.
I know you can have a single User account bearing the same User Name (As I wish to use both clients as Hotdesks).
I would be grateful for any assistance in regards to this.
    Regards,
    Bob.
Robert Brindle MCP, MCSA & MCSE.

    Hi,
Based on my experience, it is not possible to create two accounts with the same name in a domain.
In addition, workgroup accounts and domain accounts are different and they have no influences to each other generally. In a workgroup, no computer has
control over another computer and all PCs must be on the same local network or subnet. Besides, to log on to any PC in the workgroup, you must have an account on that PC.  However, in a domain, it usually has DCs and the domain members can be on different
local networks. If you have a user account in the domain, you can log on to any PC on the domain without needing an account on that PC.
If I misunderstood anything, please feel free to let me know. I would appreciate it if you can describe it more clearly.
    Best regards,
    Susie
