Domino 4.6.2 ?

Hello!
Has anybody gotten Identity Manager to talk to Domino version 4.6.2? I know that only 5.0 and 6.5 are supported.
The gateway keeps on crashing, and there is no useful information in the trace or logs.
cheers,

Device model and OS versions don't matter.
Over the past few days many people have noticed some slowdown and lag on BBM invites, avatar syncing, etc... and your isse as well could be related to that.
Unless someone offers you are more immdiate solution, give the invites a few days and see what happens.

  • SSO to Lotus Domino working but server crash.

    Hi all SDN'ers.
I have been working on getting SSO from EP6 SP12 to Lotus Notes 6.5.4 FP1. Both servers are stand alone and running Windows 2003 Server operating system.
I am using the latest versions available for the dll-files, but I am getting strange and unfortunately results.
All dlls are located in c:\SapTicketVerifier folder which has been appended to the system path on the Domino server. The portals pse file is also held in this folder.
When the Notes server is restarted the TicketVerifier get initialised with succes, and the Domino webserver is actually working just fine until a SAPLOGINTICKET is received.
The Notes log does write "SSO Ticket found, sap_user = daujon", but a bit further down we get an "Assertion failed: ssflib != NULL, file ssfxxlib.c, line 267". And the Domino server now stops responding completely and a server restart is needed to get it back up.
I have tried to disable all other installed DSAPI's, and tested it with multiple usernames, all valid in both Notes and Portal. But I get the same result.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :o)
    Regards
    Jonas

    Hi,
you've to update your ticket verifier version to the latest for example 2.2.1 that i have.
we encountered the same problem and this solution worked as it is advised by the developer of ticketverifier.
if you mail me at [email protected] i can mail it to you. But remember is it 3.33 MB file.
    regards

  • Palm says Domino servers not supported (??????) - webOS 2.1.0 IMAP or EAS Sync do not work

So I've been struggling to get my work email up and running on a new Pre2. All my accounts except my work account sync without any issue. At work we use a Domino 8.5.2 server with Domino Traveler. Users not using the corporate BB's have the option to sync their mail using IMAP or EAS (on Traveler) on the server. Both of these work flawlessly on my Pre (minus) 1.4.5 (which I am still using) and neither works on the Pre2 2.1.0.
I have been all over the internet, logged a complaint with Palm. Had the problem escalated to Level 3.  HP-Palm has no tech support for WebOs devices in Asia (where I am presently based) and they told me US based level 3 tech support cannot make overseas calls. Tried calling the US tech support myself but it took 30min to get the guy to understand the problem as I had to start from scratch even after giving my complaint ref number. After that no news from them. No call back no email - nothing. Finally wrote an email on their website complaining to HP's CEO. The very next day some guy from tech support in Asia called me and giving reference of my email to Mr.Apotheker told me that he would co-ordinate with the engineers in USa and call me each day to update me on the status of my complaint.
After 3 calls from the guy during with some more questions answered he finally called me this morning to convey the following to me.
"The complaint lodged by you has been checked, duplicated at our end and confirmed. However, IMAP email on a Domino server or Domino Traveler EAS synchronization is not supported by webOS 2 so we cannot help me any further. Have a nice day!"
Wow, I could not believe that this guy was actually serious about this statement. HP-Palm are actually publicly stating that a webOS 2 device syncing with a Domino server is not officially supported. That in my opinion is unbelievable. They cannot possibly have any hopes of being a serious player in the enterprise environment with this level (or lack thereof) of email sync support on the device.
To anyone who can still help me trouble shoot I have already tried the following:
    - deleted & setup problem account again
    - partial erase
    - full erase
    - full secure erase with a completely new palm profile
    - on server side completely new mail db setup on server
    - trying to click forward and back between email messages
    - setting up a test account for the palm guys to try to log into and confirm duplication of this issue at their end
Nothing works. The final result is:
IMAP: it is absolutely impossible to get the IMAP Sync to show folders from our sever. The account gets set up and validates without any problem. But no folders show up on the device. If you click on drafting a new email message and send out a message it may or may not go (random behavior). It shows up in the Outbox on the device and in case it is successfully transmitted it just disappears from device (no sent folder). On the desktop client the sent email appears in the sent folder.
Conclusion: SMTP relay works at times. IMAP sync for incoming connects but no folders show up on device.
EAS Sync with Domino Traveler: After trying dozens of different configurations the email starts to sync and all the folders show up. all email headers show up just fine. But whenever I try to open an email it needs anywhere from a couple of seconds to 30-40 seconds while I watch the "retrieving email text" then if I am lucky the email opens with full text but there are a number of email messages which never open and eventually give me an "error - unable to download".
Conclusion: The email sync with Traveler is completely random. I can read some messages but most show me an error. The contacts search from Global address book on the server works albeit with a 5-10 second delay.
HP-Palm have given me a reference bug number CSO-7675 and as I understood officially told me that they cannot offer any further help. I don't know if this issue will be addressed in subsequent updates or I'm on my own. If anyone can offer any further help on this issue it would be much appreciated.
Post relates to: Pre 2 p102ueu (SFR)

I have tried much of what you have and have the same basic problem. Email sync to Traveler 8.5.2FP2 is erratic at best. Another symptom I see is if sometimes when I open an email from the Inbox, I get the body of a different email! So something is definitely broken. Question is, is it Traveler or WebOS? It seems that WebOS 2.x uses a later version of Active Sync as I can see messages on the Domino console referring to XML tags that are not understood and other error messages. I'm pretty sure Traveler only supports what is needed for the iPhone to sync. It is very annoying and pretty much makes email / celndaring unusable. The calendar on my Pre seems to take a long time to respond after opening and I'm pretty sure it's due to the above issues. I have tried the commonTime mNotes product and that works fine but I would prefer to use Traveler as it is a more elegant solution.

At the current time we have one Domino v7.0.4 server (Win2k with DUC v1.2.3) in production and our clients are running Notes v7.0.4 client with DUC v.1.2.3 installed on them. This setup has been working great in our Unity v5.0(1) environment. We are looking to migrate our users to a newly installed Domino v8.5.1 (Win 2008 x32 DUC v1.2.5) server in the near future but out test users are running into a problem.
When a user gets migrated over to our new Domino server the client can no longer access their voicemail via TUI.  During the user migration process we do change the pointer in Unity to their mail file on the new Domino server. When the user logs in they receive "Your messages are available now"
If we migrate the user back to the old v7.0.4 server they can access their voice mail with no issues.
Any feedback you could provide would be great. Thanks!

    Hi Kenneth,
Could you clarify what you mean by "During the user migration process we do change the pointer in Unity to their mail file on the new Domino server"? Typically when moving a user's mail file to a new Domino server, Unity should automatically pick up those changes. Are you pehaps creating a new mail file and pointing Domino to it instead of moving it? If that is the case, the new mail file would not have been DUCS enabled, a process it must go through before Unity will be able to access it properly. The only way to force that to happen would be to reimport the user into Unity. If the mail file is properly migrated, however, the mail file should remain DUCS enabled and there would be no need for this.
An easy way to determine whether the user is DUCS enabled is using the DUT tool. It is located on the Unity server under \Commserver\Utilities\Domino\DUT. It will show you a list of all of your users. Compare the values you see in the UCProfile section for a working / non-migrated user to a failing one. You might also want to verify that it lists the updated mail server and mail file for the user.
Also, while I don't think it would cause this particular problem, you should be aware that Server 2008 is not currently a supported platform for DUCS/CsServer 1.2.5, see page 6 in the admin guide:

    Hope this helps,
    Pat

  • Domino Notes and LDAP Connection using wls 6.1

We would like to use Domino LDAP for authentication/authorization in Webogic, but
we are not able to configure it. Has someone else already done this? Below is
a list of steps to take that we got from a BEA consultent. The problem is step
10, rebooting the server. When I try to do this, I get a Fatal initialization
exception error and cannot start the server.
    1. Open the WebLogic Server Administration Console http://localhost:7001/console
    in a browser.
    2. In the right pane of the Administration Console, click the mydomain->Security->Realms->Create
    a new Custom Realm.
    3. Enter MyLotusLDAPRealm in the Name field.
    4. Click Create.
    5. In the right pane of the Administration Console, click the mydomain->Security->Caching
    Realms->Create a new Caching Realm.
    6. Enter MyLotusCachingRealm in the Name field.
    7. Click Create.
    8. In the right pane of the Administration Console, click the mydomain-Security.
    9. Select the MyLotusLDAPRealm from the drop-down box for the Caching Realm.
    10. Reboot the WebLogic Server.
    11. Copy the ldaprealm.properties to bea/wlserver6.1
    12. Modify the web.xml
    13. Modify the weblogic.xml
If anyone has done this before please let me know how you did it. Thanks!

    That works. Thanks!

The latter is not a surprise, since the file does not exist. InsteadI

I am using Sun IDM 8.1. I configured Lotus Domino as an resource. I am able to do the following successfully.
    1) Creation of a user
    2) Modification
    3) Change password
I am facing problem in deprovisioning or deleting a user from the resouce.
    Error Message.
Entry <username> is not registered and does not belong to an organization
Unregistered accounts cannot belong to groups. The request to remove this user to group(s) was not performed
I have checking the permissions of the id used in resouce. It has all the privilages for managing a user i.e create, modify and delete.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
According to the Resource Reference documentation the Domino adaptor does not support deletion of a user.
According to the documentation "When deprovisioning or disabling, you must send a list of DenyGroups that the user will be
added to. When enabling, you must send a list of DenyGroups that the user will be removed
    from."
    There are code examples.

  • Sender mail adapter - connecting to Lotus Domino

    Hi all,
I'm currently trying to configure a communication channel to pick up from a Lotus Domino mail server using POP3 (I'd be willing to do IMAP4 as well).  The Lotus team has told me that the POP and IMAP services have been activated but I'm not having any luck connecting to the server.  The error message I get each time is exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.ConnectException: A remote host refused an attempted connect operation.
Any ideas?  The configuration I'm using is:
    URL: pop://mymailserver.com/mailin/xi_dev_users.nsf
    Authentication Method: Plain
User: mmorris (my user has been given access to this mail file)
The rest of the config is default.
I've also tried specifying the port (110) even though that is the default - no luck.

    Hi Mike,
pinging successfully does not guarantee you're gonna be able to exchange messages.
Try to connect through telnet through the port you mentioned.
Another possibility: did they set SSL on the POP3 communication?
If yes, you need "pops://" as the protocol in the URL (default port 995).
    Best regards,
    Henrique.

  • Is this possible in TIDAL , Change the Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData) service Startup Type from 'Automatic' to 'Manual

    1) Shutdown the Domino server (Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData) service)
    2) Change the Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData) service Startup Type from 'Automatic' to 'Manual'
    3) Reboot the server
    4) Defragment the drive (D:\ or F:\)
    5) Change the Lotus Domino Server (LotusDominoData) service Startup type from 'Manual' to 'Automatic'
    6) Reboot the server
    Any help would be appreciated.

Binu - are you wanting to automate this process with TES?
There is a windows cmd command "net stop" and "net start" you can use to stop and start a service.
You will need to work with your windows admin or look online for a command line way to change the service to manual and to start the defrag.
There is a shutdown command that can be run from cmd. It has a switch to force the reboot.
You might also check out scripting with WMI.
    Hope this helps,
    Michelle

  • Can i connect to lotus domino database in my java environment

    Hi javaites,
I want to know if i can connect to domino database from my java environment. i need to pick e-mail address of staffs from lotus notes database. if possible how can i go about it.
    thanks

Yes, you can connect to a database on a Lotus Domino server. The classpath must include Notes.jar (local) or NCSO.jar (remote) - and the DIIOP (Domino IIOP) task on the Domino server must be running.
The following article might help you:

    Hi,
The reason why you are seeing this exception is because there is a mismatch between the version of the WLPM API used by the portlets, with the version of the service that you have installed on you Domino server.
To explain a little, there are two sides to the API that is used to communicate with Lotus Domino:
    1) the Java API side (used by the portlets that you have installed in the portal)
    2) the Domino Service side (installed as a DSAPI filter in the HTTP task of a Domino Server)
Each Java API jar and Domino Service Executable are branded with a version number, which in your case does not match because the portlets came with one version of the Java API, and you have installed a non-matching version of the service on the Domino Service side (you probably extracted the executable for the service installation from the "BEA Personal Messaging API 4.3" bundle or installer).
The solution for this is to:
    1) uninstall the Domino Service that you have plugged into the domino service
    2) extract the Domino Service installer which was included with the portlet bundle. This is located in the "Program Files\compoze\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you ran the portlet installer, or in the "groupware_portlets_bea81-noinstall-25\groupware_portlets_bea-2.5\8.1\service\domino" directory if you used the "no-install" zip file.
As a tip, to quickly check whether the versions of the service and Java API’s that you are using are matching, perform the following steps:
    1) hit the domino server with the following URL and notice the "service version": http://domino_service_url:http_port/compoze.czdo. This should be something like "Service Version: 3.6.102"
2)in your portal application (or in the portlet install bundle), open the harmony_portlets.jar file with winzip, then find the "compoze_products_information.properties" file. In this file, notice the "product.domino" version (e.g. product.domino = 3.6.102)
    3) the two versions you have inspected must match in order for the connection between the portlet and service to succeed.
If you have verified that the "service" version and "java API" version (located in %portal_app_dir%/APP-INF/lib/harmony_portlets.jar, and you are still getting the exception, it is likely that there is a "harmony_portlets.jar" that included an old version of the Java API located somewhere in the portal server classpath. In this case, make sure that the only harmony_portlets.jar in the classpath is the one that was included with the portlet bundle that you have installed.

    Lev

  • Domino 8.5.3 iNotes "send not sending" in Firefox 3.6, has this been addressed in ver. 9 ?

According to IBM Domino iNotes support, the Firefox failed to use the cached signed script, from Domino 8.5.3 iNotes, - signed script also could not be executed at that time, therefore the message was unable to be sent out. - Has this been fixed in Firefox 9 ?

    In a word, no.
See http://www.pinkmutant.com/articles/Leopard/leospot.html for starters and my mod to Finder's Find at http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20080229204517495 for what you can change so you can find stuff excluded by the default structure. Do note that my mod no longer works in Snow Leopard, further crippling Spotlight searches.

In our enterprise we have Lotus Notes/Domino database and we offered a PDF form to many users for some subscriptions.  To receive these subscriptions, is it possible to put a SAVE button that saves the filled data into the Lotus Notes/Domino database?
    If yes, how?
