Domino/Exchange Server Migration NSF to PST Clients also

Domino and Exchange should require when we execute client migration NSF to PST?  Or it should be connected or disconnected? If I migrate domino server into Exchange could data will remain same, I understand the process but unsure which type of tool I should prefer to execute this task. Clear my doubts if anybody knows about it. If I am wrong correct me. And provide the solution for the same.

For minor migration like clients Lotus Notes and Outlook, server does not required, In this procedure, you must shut down the same time services; you must leave the clients running so you can access databases. For server migration server are running at the same time when you perform migration into Exchange.
To migrating Domino to Exchange there are many trustworthy companies available “SysTools” is one of them you can prefer its Mail Migration Wizard Software for the same.

  • Exchange Server 2010 - Receive Connector for Client Computers

I have one customer with a SBS 2011 with Exchange Server 2010 - a pretty standard setup except for some customisation with Receive Connectors in order to cater for an application which is installed on a number of computers that requires to use an SMTP Server
to send notifications. In order to accomplish this (allow to be sent using Exchange Server) we added the IP Address of client computer (which we also set as a DHCP reservation) to a pre-configured Receive Connector (Anonymous setup for Printer/Scanner).
This worked fine, but we now find that there are other applications that require the same function to use SMTP to send.
How should/could this be better configured so an application can send if they authenticate?

    Hi
For this  you need to create a seperate receive connector to be used for Relay in your organizations.
    Follow the below steps
    1) Create a dedicated Relay Receive Connector
    2) Add only the Ip addresses of the applications which needs to relay on Exchange servers
    3) You can use either anonymous or authenticated relay according to your relay config
You can follow the below link as well

  • Exchange Server bounce back when external Client's email the business.

    Hi,
One of our clients are having a small issue and I have been unable to pin this down. The businesses Broadband line was changed over to Fibre a week ago and since then, some of their clients are having an issue emailing our client.
When client's email the business they are receiving the below error. Not all clients are having an issue sending & there is no logical pattern to it.
'The server has tried to deliver this message, without success, and has stopped trying. Please try sending this message again. If the problem continues, contact your helpdesk'
My colleague switched the line over and updated all the relevant records where the domain is hosted. One thing we have noticed is that everyone in the business is receiving a stupid amount of spam emails now.
Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alex
EDIT: The client is running exchange 2010.

    Hi,
Although correctly updating MX Records resolved a few issues with emails, not everything is fixed.
3 Clients still have issues emailing us and receive the following bounce back:
Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

  • Is there a way to use Apple Mail/Address Book/Calendar with a Microsoft Exchange Server that requires a client certificate ?

I have an Exchange server configured to require a client certificate. Is there a way to configure a certificate for Apple Mail/Address Book/Calendar ? There seems to be no option in the account settings to do that (in contrast to for example the IMAP settings).
    Any help highly appreciated !

I don't know. Try downloading the certificate and installing it in your keychain. See what happens.

  • Free Busy takes over 30 seconds to retrieve on Outlook 2010 using Exchange Server 2010

We have a small 100 user domain running Exchange server 2010 and outlook 2010 clients.  The issue is that Retrieving Free/Busy takes over 30 seconds.
So someone is trying to schedule a meeting has to wait Minutes see the Free/busy time for many users..  I have checked and all the users in question have published at least one month free busy time.
It seems it would be much faster.  Anyone have this same experience and know of a way to speed it up?
    thanks in Advance
    David

    Hi David,
Does the issue happen in OWA? In Exchange 2010, the free/busy information is retreved by using Availability service (EWS url). Generally, if a user wants to view free/busy information when create a meeting, the http Availability service request
    would send to CAS server.
Please check whether the usage in Exchange server is high when the slow free/busy information occurs. This reflect time would also be related to the network in your environment.

  • Users can't send/receive, but are connected to Exchange Server

    Greetings,
For some reason (happened this morning), none of my users (who are a mixture of Outlook 2010 PC and Outlook 2011 Mac) can send/receive email as quickly as usual (if at all).  Exchange server is 2010.
Both clients are connected to the Exchange server successfully.  Sending an email usually takes (if it even goes at all) 10-20 minutes.  If I send an email from my Gmail account, again it take about 20 minutes to finally get to Outlook.
Exchange server is not running any virus software.  On my Outlook client for instance (2010 PC), it's stuck on Updating Inbox indefinitely.
No changes have been made to the LAN (and no other servers are having connection issues) or WAN.  I have run performance troubleshooting on the Exchange server, and all seems fine.  I have checked event viewer on both the Exchange server as well
as the DC and DNS server (they are one and the same).  I've rebooted the DC, DNS and Exchange servers.
    Arrrrggggg!!
Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi,
According to your description, both your Exchange accounts and Gmail account have the mail delay issue.
Thus, I'd like to confirm the following information to narrow down the cause:
    1. Do your external users also come across the issue? Because this may be related to Network issue.
    2. Does the issue happens randomly or regularly?
And I also recommend you use Performance Monitor to check the issue as Ed said.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Is there an Exchange server equivalent for Apple Xserve?

I have an Apple Xserve and I'd like to run something like an Exchange server, to allow my Entourage clients to host calendar, email, Tasks, and addressbooks on there. Is Apple working on anything like this?
    Mike

    Hi
There should be no need to post in the XServe Forum. The XServe is dedicated server hardware, your question is really about the Server OS. You could browse the Server Forum for more information:
    http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=96
To answer your question - Yes, absolutely. Kerio Mail Server:
    http://www.kerio.co.uk/kms_home.html
    Zimbra:
    http://www.zimbra.com/products/
Both of these products offer support for iPhone, Treo and Blackberry. KMS has a handy facility where it can remotely 'wipe' a supported mobile device if its been stolen. Although this is speculation and not really 'allowed' on these forums I think Apple is working towards similar features in their forthcoming Server products. Right now Apple's built in mail server is poor in terms of what is offered using the Interface. It's good enough to get you going if all you want are simple Mail Services. It's actually quite good. However if you want more then you there is not much you can't achieve if you're prepared to use the command line. A necessity at some stage if you are contemplating administering a server regardless of its role. Apple are planning to expand what is available by adding 'out of office' and server side 'email rules' facilities in Snow Leopard:
    http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/snowleopard/
You don't have that currently unless you are prepared to install avelsieve:
    http://email.uoa.gr/avelsieve/
I'm not sure how well Apple's built-in Mail Server supports shared contacts and calendars with Microsoft's products? It's been some time but I have had some mixed success in the past. KMS has no problem regardless of platform or what is being used. For PCs it behaves exactly as if it was an Exchange Server.

  • Upgrade SSL Certificate for Exchange Server

    Hi Folks,
I need to upgrade the SSL certificate on my Exchange Server, so he can negotiate encryption and authorization to an upstream SMTP Smart Host.  This means that the certificate I need is not necessarily a server certificate, because in this scenario Exchange
Server is acting as a client to the upstream SMTP Smart Host.  I have openssl at my disposal, so making the certificate in not a problem but installing it in the correct location and testing that I've done what I think I've done is.
    Thanks for the help,
    Chris.
    Thanks for the help,
    Chris.

    Hi,
Please just make sure the primary certificate in your Exchange server with
SMTP service is valid, trusted by your SMTP smart host.

  • Exchange server 2010 mail limitation

    Hi,
We have exchange server 2010 cashub1 and cashub2
and also we have edge1 and edge2.
my requirement is, i want all the exchange user to set limit of internal and external as 10 MB, except just 5 to 10 user we need to set limit as 50MB.
Can you please assist and provide the step by step configuration to setup the requirements.
    Thanks in advance.

Does that 50MB limit apply to messages to and from the internet as well?
If so, then here is an example of one way to do this:
I would set all the limits to 50MB including the organizational limits.
Then create a hub transport rule that rejects any message with an attachment over 10MB with a rejection message and code of your choosing except when to and from a Group that you create that contains those 5-10 users who need to send messages as large as
    50MB.
and, as always, test this very well before implementing!

  • Mac calendar syncing problem with exchange server

Hi, I have been having problems syncing the calendar on my MacPro (late 2013, with OX Y Yosemite, even the earlier operating system) with my work calendar (exchange server). It keeps giving an exclamation mark and the error message is "There was an error attempting to send your changes to the exchange server.".
Mail syncing on Mac with the same exchange server is working perfectly.
I also have iPhone and iPad, and never had issues syncing calendar nor with Mails.
I have tried to create a separate log in profile on my mac and attempt to sync calendar, it makes no difference.
    Any advice?
    Thanks Shu

There are several ways of exchange server recovery.
Reset the computer account for the lost server.
Install the proper operating system and name the new server with the same name as the lost server. Recovery won't succeed if the server on which recovery is being performed doesn't
have the same name as the lost server.
     Or try FREE DEMO of
Recovery Toolbox for Exchange Server http://www.exchangeserver.recoverytoolbox.com
Seriously? Can you recover data or repair the EDB file if it isn't there at all? JET_errInvalidDatabase says database isn't present!

  • How to quickly recover from the broken Exchange Server VM due to Windows Update patch or Service Pack ?

    Folks,
I'm planning to apply the Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 and also applying the Cumulative Update 7 along with Windows Update which haven't been done since the past two years (~100+ patches).
So in this case it I cannot afford to lose any of the Exchange Server due to the bad updates or broken server due to patches. At The moment all of the VMs currently running on VMware:
    HT/CAS role Windows NLB:
    PRODMAIL01-VM
    PRODMAIL02-VM
    Mailbox Server stand-alone non-DAG:
    PRODMBX01-VM
    PRODMBX02-VM
    Domain Controllers:
    PRODDC01
    PRODDC02
    My questions are:
    1. When taking the VMware snapshot for easy roll-back, do I have to take the entire 2 sets of the domain controller as well?
    2. Assuming I have done the Schema Update successfully and moving on to apply the SP3 to the HT/CAS server role, do I have to take both of the mailbox server VMs snapshot as well?
    3. Can I disconnect the virtual NIC inside the guest OS to safely take snapshot before applying the patches or service pack ? or do I have to let the network to be always connected during the Service Pack or CU patch process ?
Any kind of suggestion for a better way to quickly roll back broken Exchange server due to patching would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

not only not recommended, not supported:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj619301(v=exchg.150).aspx
Some hypervisors include features for taking snapshots of virtual machines. Virtual machine snapshots capture the state of a virtual machine while it's running. This feature enables you to take multiple snapshots of a virtual machine and then revert the
virtual machine to any of the previous states by applying a snapshot to the virtual machine. However, virtual machine snapshots aren't application aware, and using them can have unintended and unexpected consequences for a server application that maintains
state data, such as Exchange. As a result, making virtual machine snapshots of an Exchange guest virtual machine isn't supported.
The only supported way to recover a lost Server is gracefully through Setup either Add/Remove programs or recoverserver option

  • Config OES/sendmail to forward email from/to Exchange Server

    Hi
I have installed an OES on a Red Hat ES 3.
But on my network i have a Exchange Server that send/receive all emails. And i cannot change here nothing(company rules). Now what i need to do? I need to config the Linux sendmail to relay on the Exchange Server(the exchange is now configured relay on Linux) to forward the emails that i need.
I only need this to one email account e.g [email protected] The Oracle Email Server is running, but i need to config the Linux to forward the email to the Exchange Server, and go to outside. Also i need that receiving an email to [email protected] that my Linux receive this email from the Exchange Server.
I have configured the sendmail.cf like Oracle says on the Administrator’s Guide manual. I have add the ip and name of the Exchange on /etc/mail/access to relay. But still i cant send emails outside. If i test the sendmail -v testuser, and all says ok. I have tested telnet domain 25, and all went ok.
I think the only problem is forward the oes to exchange to forward outside
    Any help
    Many thanks
    Thank you
    Jail

    Hi andreas
Yes i also think that it maybe resolved by an alias and forwarding
Th COM is the domain in the OES is the com default. Is this domain that you referring?
The company domain that is in the OES(e.g xpto.com) is the same that is in the Exchange. Do you think this will be a problem? Must i create one like oes.xpto.com? To work with the OES?
I have created a relay on the access file, but is this ok? Or must i need change anything else? Mean while i will check that url
And yes i can connect to the Exchange on port 25 from the RH
Since i have several user/account created on the OES, the only think that i did not understand yet is how can they receive any email?
The fax@domain was a example. But i can collect all outside emails from that account and with some rules forward to any other OES account? I think this is possible? Or this is the hard way to configure the OES?
    Thank You
    Jail

  • Server migration batch domino to exchange?

We are going to migrate Lotus Notes domino server into exchange 2010 server, can anybody give some guidelines or tips……to be followed etc. propose me which is better migration solution for this.

@steve: Exactly you should prefer microsoft or ibm or any exchange forum to know more about the migration project. Anyway I am elaborating the desired need as per my experience. There is a Exchange Domino connecter provided by microsoft. Using that, you can sync both and copy the domino mailboxes into exchange but all these needs sheer expertise, numerous setting and rights. The process of domino to exchange migration can be also acomplished through email migration tools. I know an application for same migration process that is mail migration wizard. I had used it previously. It provided 4 migration option with numerous filetrs those made our migration very customized.
Batch Lotus Notes to Outlook migration
Batch Lotus Notes to Exchange Migration
    Domino to Exchange MIgration
    Domino to Outlook Migration
Such migration needs accuracy and security so I would like to prefer an automated tool. You may reply on mail migration wizard.
