Numbers Title Menu is not Japanese Display. But after 2013Years ago Numbers Title Menu is only English Dispaly.
I want to Change to Japanese Menu Tile from English,

2-byte text is not supported in the current version of AIR with TLF. We agree that this support is very important and are working on it for a future release.

Slideshow Titles don't display; Music not controlled.

The Apple TV does not show titles on slideshows that I created in Macbook and synced to Apple TV. The music I chose for the slideshows is not the same as I selected on my Macbook - kind of random selection from the Apple TV Playlist. it created an identical file (in Movies tab of iTunes), then gave me a message ""MovieName" was not copied to the Apple TV "Apple TV" because it cannot be played on this Apple TV." However, it actually did transfer to Apple TV, and would play, and it showed the titles.
I suspect that the reference to not being able to be played on the tv is as a result of the original file, which wouldn't be playable and why you created a new version, you can safely delete the original.
The drawback is that the "movie" slides are grainy, nowhere near the quality of using the iPhoto slideshow. Plus the movie does not fit my TV monitor where the slideshow fills the screen. I don't know if there is a solution to this problem.
Yes unfortunately the older imovie wasn't the best at creating movies. imovie 09 is much better, I've linked a couple of examples for you to try on your tv if you wish to see how the newer imovie does things a little better.

Workbook title of Bex 7x don't display in different logon languages

Good morning Guys,
I have created workbooks in new Bex 7x.
Now: when I logon to BW in different language than english i.e. German I would expect that workbook titel will be transferred from its english version as german doesn't exist yet. This was the good behavior of old 3.x Bex.
Surprisingly it doesn't display any readable title only GUID of the workbook like 1RC1X1R3UYM6COE2O5A12TTG0 .
I have found similar thread regarding this on SDN, which is marked as answer but in fact is not.

Does some of you know how to force system to display english title instead of that (like it was in old good 3.x Bex) and can share this knowledge?

Yes,it is True.
With 7.x BEx,all the Tools display the Description as Technical Name for the Objects for DE as Login language.
For Eg:In case of Workbook,the GUID will be shown as Description and Technical Name.
With 3.x,it shows the Description properly,when the user logged in with DE (German) language.
Though it looks wierd,this is an expected behaviour and as by design.

Displaying Japanese in Finder

I have Japanese language support installed and have no problem displaying web pages in Japanese or inputting Japanese. But when I download files that have Japanese filenames, those filenames will always display in Finder as a collection of question marks and kanji (never kana). For instance, instead of showing 私の頭が悪い.m4v it will display as ??頭?悪?.m4v. If I import a music file with this problem into iTunes, iTunes will display the file name correctly. Changing international preferences to give priority to Japanese doesn't fix the problem, and even if it did I don't want Finder to always be in Japanese.

The Get Info window for a file will usually display some of the Spotlight metadata for that file under the "More Info" pane. For example, the Get Ifno window for a song file in my iTunes Music Library displays Album, Title, Genre, Duration, and more.

How do I make a "Title Menu Button" that is an Arrow?

I am using DVD 08 with iMovie 06.
I set my chapters using iMovie 06. When I shared with iDVD 08 everything looked OK.
I normally do six scenes however this time I wanted eight. In the past when using iDVD 08 (or iDVD 06) there is always a blue arrow in the scene selection menu that when selected would take you back to the main menu.
For some reason I do not have the Blue arrow. I was able to create a new "Title Menu Button" but none of the options I can find is the default blue arrow.
If iDVD defaults to the blue arrow in this location why can't I find it as one of the many choices iDVD gives for a Title Menu Button?

I use the same, iM6 with iDVD 8.
I am not sure I follow you. You mean that you make 6 or 8 chapter markers for this movie?
What theme are you using? If you use a theme that places 6 scenes on a submenu, iDVD will automatically create a second submenu with the remaining 2 scenes. Each submenu has 2 arrows to allow you to go back to the previous menu, or to the next submenu, except the last submenu which has only 1 arrow to go back to the previous menu.
If you want all 8 scenes on the first submenu, you can go to the submenu with the last 2 scenes and select them, then 'Copy' then go back to the first submenu and 'Paste' them. You may have to reposition the scene titles to accomodate the new ones. Be sure to go back once again to the submenu and delete the copied scenes. When you do that, go back to the previous submenu where all 8 scenes are, and you will see that the forward arrow to the last submenu is no longer present, since there are no longer any scenes to be in a separate submenu.
I have made over 100 movies, each with many scenes, but I don't have any submenus that show an arrow to return to the main menu, unless there is only one submenu.
If you want to add an entire submenu....say of extra photos/videos/etc. you can use the + button on the lower left of the iDVD screen to add. A folder will appear on the menu to which you have added the submenu, and when you open the folder, you will see the new submenu, with its return arrow.
You can change the folder icon to just a title using the 'Buttons' tab, but you cannot create navigation arrows yourself.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in preview.

Title & Menu Buttons not working correctly on remote control/ set top player but work in encore preview. This only happens for a Blu ray project. When a user presses the menu button it should go to the previous menu they were on but it goes to the main menu. When they press the title button they should go to the main menu but it doesn't do anything. My DVD projects work as expected.I've tried creating a new "test" project with different footage and still get the same undesirable results.
Overrides grayed out and set to "not set" for timelines and menus.Project settings and build are set to blu ray. Also I've noticed when I preview a Bluray project the preview window shows a red colored disc next to the Title button when viewing the timelines and green when playing the menus but not so for a DVD project it displays red if motion menus and or timelines are not rendered/encoded. I'm not using motion menus and all the media is encoded according to the project specs.
I've searched this forum but couldn't find the answer. Any help or redirects to a solution would be appreciated. Working with CS5. Thanks.

I found out on my Samsung Blu ray player the remote has a tools button on it that brings up audio, angle, chapter selection etc.and also title selection which is actually the menus and the timelines unfortunately. It's not as easy or direct as last menu selected but it's a workaround at least. I also plan on using a pop up menu. I'll let you know.

We are using SHIFT_JIS character encoding in our jsps to display Japanese characters.

Is there any other configuration required on server side to let the Japanese characters being displayed? Because what I am getting on screen is quite annoying. Well something like below.

Even though my knowledge in Japs isn't too good :-)) I can understand that these are not Japanese. I believe I am missing something in terms of server side configuration, Can anybody point that out. (Maybe some of the Japanese developers in here).
This could not be a client side issue, since from the same machine I can access other Japanese sites and they display properly. Let me know if anybody can help.

Your text in the JSP should be UTF-8 nevertheless - as would be ideal
for internationalization. Java comes with a command-line conversion tool
native2ascii which is bidirectional.
As non-Japanese I am not certain whether "SJIS" might not be better (there
are some name variations in java).
The HTML generation will translate these characters to SHIFT_JIS in your case.
Where the target encoding cannot handle the intended character it receives a
question mark - hat you saw.
Furthermore you need a proper font in HTML and under Windows (window title).
Your webserver should have east-asian support. Though Japanese (and English)
are standard, I, as non-japanese am not certain about SHIFT_JIS.
Also there is some freedom in choice for a japanese encoding.

How to display Japanese text from an XML file

Hiya,
I have various adapted mp3 players [called playlists on my site] which retrieve the songs and song titles/artists from an XML file. One of them plays Japanese music.
Most of the tracks are in English but I now have a couple of songs with Japanese titles and file names which I can't get to preview/display in Flash Pro CS5 [Mac]. I can type static Japanese text and it displays fine but Flash seems to be having a problem with the Japanese from the XML file.
Though I can find the English titles, etc, it would be nice if there were a way to display Japanese text from a 'multi-lingual' [English and Japanese] XML file [probably something really easy].

Captivate 3 - Slides don't display

I've got a user who has a LARGE .cp file - about 51MG - and when he opens the presentation, the slides don't display. I can see 70 items in the Library, but the Storyboard, Edit and Branching views only display one blank slide. Title Bar says Slide 1 of 1. I've copied to my Desktop because the presentation takes 'forever' to open from the Network and thought maybe that might be part of the problem. But don't know what else to try.
Is the file just too large? Anything we can do to fix it? Here's the Info on the Project:

Unfortunately the project is likely corrupt. There is one thing to try at this point. Create a blank project that has identical project resolution. Then try importing a few slides from the problem project. If that is successful, rinse and repeat as needed until you recover.
Beyond that, it's time to drink a strong Margarita, roll up your sleeves and rebuild the project again from scratch. Assuming you have a working SWF, you can use it as a guide.

Try selecting the thumbnails (Shift+Click) or (Ctrl+A) to select all, then click on the top menu
Edit à Update Thumbnail For Selected Items
If that doesn’t work close Elements and delete the thumbnail cache by navigating to:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\MyCatalog
In side the MyCatalog folder (or whatever name you gave your catalog) you should find a CACHE file:
thumb.5.cache
After deleting that file restart the elements Organizer and wait whilst it regenerates thumbnails.
N.B. The ProgramData folder is sometimes a system hidden file, in which case please follow these instructions before starting.

If you launch Script Editor and open the Help menu, you will see the APpleScript Help and a Language Guide:
To see, which commands an application understands, open the File menu in Script editor and select Open Dictionary. In the list locate "Photos".

Email messages don't display in thunderbird message pane but wdseml file is good.

There are some email messages that don't display correctly in the Thunderbird message pane.
Either the pane is completely empty or chunks of html show up in the pane.
I checked the actual email file stored in:
C:\Users\Dave\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\d976yxfm.default\Mail\pop-server\Inbox.mozmsgs
and it looks good, as the Windows 7 explorer window is able to show the email message cleanly in the preview window.
When I click on "View Source", it shows the wrong source file, I think.
The text in the "view source" window doesn't match the text in the ".wdseml" file at all.
Note: I recently migrated my C drive from a spinning hard disk to an SSD, perhaps this caused the weirdness? But, most of my email messages do display correctly, just some of them are hosed.
Any ideas how to fix?
Currently running Windows 7, 64 bit, latest update from Microsoft (as of 3/13/2014).

Windows still has a command processor.
So no need for bash.
type CMD into the search box to locate it
If you can use bash I assume your familiar with CD to change folders.
One little thing I use to save typing is I locate the folder in Explorer, click beside the path so it changes to a C:\ based item and use Ctrl + C to copy it and paste it into my CMD session. CTRL+V does not work, but edit on the windows system menu does.
To rename the files, navigate to the folder they are in and Copy *.wdseml *.eml
once you do the import return and del *.eml to clear out the duplicates from the first step.

Almost high def video and title menu coming out blurry when project completed

I have been using premeire elements 10 since it came out and have been happy until this week. I use elements to put together my daughters school performance for archival reasons. I am working on her latest play and act one was fine and clear when completed earlier this week. However, act two is coming out blurry, including the title menu and other texts and the burned dvd came out very blurry. I tried to compare act one and now the title menu preview is also showing a blurry video so I know the burning will be blurry as well. please help as I'm tired of always redoing the edits. thank you

How do you establish the main title menu?

Like other posts I've check here, I can't get the first of my two menus to appear as the main "title" menu when I open the simulator. I've made sure it's listed first in the VTS and I've checked it as the main title menu in the overall DVD inspector window. I don't know what else to do!
Any suggestions?

You alsso need to set it as first play (sounds like that is what you mean and not whether it is "Title" in terms of pressing the remote)
