Don't EVER use AppleTV to download content!!!
I ran an AppleTV update today, and a movie and TV show I purchased five (5) days ago (using the AppleTV interface) are gone. I know you "responsible" types will say "You should have backed up your content" My AppleTV is constantly connected to a MacMini that's always on and always has iTunes running. It's synced with my AppleTV, one would have assumed the content would have found its way into my iTunes library by now. I clicked on update, since all of the sudden AppleTV couldn't play my (purchased!!) content (File not recognized: oops, guess I hafta update). Now it's gone.
A couple of months ago I purchased some music via AppleTV.
Next day when I got home from work, there was no accessible content on AppleTV at all. Fortunately it had transfered back to iTunes the night before, but had it not i would have lost all my direct AppleTV purchases.
I had to set up a new syncing account to get things running again.
This rocked my confidence in purchasing via AppleTV so I only do it via iTunes now.

I purchased movies on my iPad2, bought the new iPad and transferred my content, returned the new iPad and kept my iPad2. Now when I try to download movies back to my iPad2, I find them under "Purchased", click on them and they appear to download, but never show up in "Downloads". Why? I use iCloud to backup content.
What exactly do you mean when you say they do not appear under downloads, downloaded videos will appear in the video app on your iPad.

I have a Hughesnet satellite Internet connection with a limited Fair Access Policy bandwidth threshold of 550MB. The AppleTV units appear to be draining 200 - 300 MB per day of bandwidth for, I imagine, updating the iTunes store info. Since I do not use AppleTV to download media from the internet I'm wondering if there is a way to configure them to be on my home WiFi network without being online. I have been manually unplugging them for now, but it is not the elegant solution I'm hoping for.

That's a tough one. Maybe set them as a private static IP address and don't specify a Gateway address? That is a lot of data being downloaded though. Have you unplugged them when not in use and checked to see if the usage is still there? As long as your router shares/publishes a Public IP address to your network, they will try to get to it -

Thanks for the question. The following article provides some solutions if you are having issues with passcode lock:
iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode

If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer
If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
"You haven't chosen to have [device] trust this computer"
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
5. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

I used the Amazon downloader for the first time last night. Today, my entire itunes library vanished: ITunes opened as if it were a brand new installation, with no content at all. I had a very large library. I had 50 playlists. I had many purchased songs from iTunes. None of it is in iTunes right now.
I have two problems.
First, I want to know how and why this happened.
Second, I want to know how to restore my iTunes library and iTunes data (ratings, playlists, etc) into iTunes.
I have an HP Simple Save drive that is hooked up to the computer, and presumably backed up the iTunes data. I don't know how to restore it though, and I don't know why this happened.

No, you should not have to do it everytinme.
However, as part of your regular backup plan (you do have one, yes?) make sure to backup the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder. -
Problem Downloading Content on iPad using ios6
Every time I attempt to download an update or a new purchase on the new iPad with iOS6, it requires me to agree to the new terms agreement. I am prompted press "agree" and then "done" but the update or purchase does not download. I have attempted to download content several times and encountered the same result. It does not matter whether I'm using wifi or 4G Internet service. Has anybody else had a problem with accepting the terms agreement and downloading content from iTunes?
In thumbnail view in the Photos app you should still be able to use the Edit button at the top right of the screen to select up to 5 photos and then use the Share button top left to attach them to an email. Or within the Mail app itself you can press and hold within the body of the email after a second or two when the magnifying glass symbol appears release the screen and you should get a pop-up with one option being 'Insert Photo or Video'

I'm sorry you are having issues with the iMovie app you purchased for your iPhone5.
The first thing I would suggest is to log out of your iTunes Account on your iPhone, turn the iPhone off and then on again, and see if app finishes downloading/updating.
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap on your Apple ID account > Tap Sign Out
If the issues persists, the article below will give you a few more troubleshooting steps:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
Try the following steps to resolve your issue, testing the app after each step.
1. Update your device software
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
2. Check for app updates
Ensure that your apps are up to date:
Open the App Store and tap Updates. If updates are available, tap Update All.
When prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. App Store will then download and install the application updates.
Note: Some applications may require a Wi-Fi connection to update.3. Install another app from the App Store

Using Overdrive to download WP3 audiobook, then wanted to transfer to itunes (as I have done for years) and Overdrive couldn't find portable player. Don't want it to go to portable player, want it to go to itunes/music. Can I change "player"? When I "transferred" to iPod, I couldn't find the book. Have updated iTunes and Overdrive.

Babysitter said don't ever remember passwords for websites we often use
My wife and I have for 3 1/2 years enjoyed sharing one user admin account on iMac without problem. This week the babysitter, before I got to create a user account for her, used our account to access her own hotmail and facebook pages as well as some others. the only thing is that she said don't ever remember passwords for the sites.
It's not a major issue, but is there some way to reset the password permissions in Safari? Do I just delete the cookies or do I have to somehow restore/reset Safari?
Any help on this issue would be good. Thanks for your time.

It would be much easier to go to both MSN/Hotmail and Facebook sites. Where you sign in and type in a username, there should be a link to click that says: Forgot your password?
If for some reason you can't do it that way, open the Keychain Access application.
(Application/Utilities).
Under Keychains on the left, select "login". Under category select Passwords.
Select: login Facebook
At the bottom of the window click the i
(Just to the right of the + ) Select the Attributes tab. Select where you see; Show password.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to download content of wiki pages on SharePoint Online.
If just for getting the text of the page, I suggest you convert page to PDF file first and then download the PDF file via a Visual Web Part as a Sandboxed solution.

No, your iPhone and your iPad should not appear in the finder.
I'm not sure what you mean about downloading photos with iPhoto being double handling, but you can download direct to a folder with Image Capture. Image Capture can also be used to delete photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone or iPad (preferrably after they are downloaded).
You can remove the photos you synced from your phone with iTunes by syncing again with an empty folder, That will delete all the photos that were previously synced that way, replacing them with the contents of the empty folder (that is, nothing). This will not effect photos takes with the camera on your iPhone.
