Don't get password reset email from Mozilla

I filled in the 'please reset my password' form 3 times and still do not see any password reset email. Over the weekend all my bookmarks disappeared and the solution apparently is to logon and perform a Sync reset. But I can't do that without my password. How can I get my new password link? I use gmail and my spam folder has no reset email. Is the Firefox password reset service working?

I forgot to mention for future finders of this error report. If you click on the 'Server Status' button that appears at the bottom of your FF screen (I'm running v15.01) you are taken to a web page showing there is supposedly nothing wrong with the Sync servers and a link to send in troubleshooting information. That link is[http:// http://blog.mozilla.org/jv/2011/10/03/help-mozilla-services-operations-debug-whats-wrong-with-sync/ http://blog.mozilla.org/jv/2011/10/03/help-mozilla-services-operations-debug-whats-wrong-with-sync/] and if you follow the procedure and send in the info it sounds like they are supposed to follow up with you debugging your Sync issue. So far the follow up has not occurred for me.

• Not getting password reset email.

I've tried multiple times to get the email and even tried the steps in the password assistance post, but I'm having no luck... Is there anything else I can do?

Hello Nintenwhoa,
Welcome to the conversation here on the Best Buy Unboxed forums! I feel as though most people have experienced some login troubles at some point or another, maybe even multiple times. However, this doesn’t make them any easier to deal with when they do occur. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have created and I hope I can help fix this for you.
The steps mstng mentioned above may help, but if you are not receiving the email and have followed some of the common troubleshoot steps to no avail, we may have to try something else. With the information you supplied here on the forums, I was able to locate your My Best Buy account that is linked to your BestBuy.com account. I have submitted a manual password reset for you, which has triggered an email with a link to reset your current password. This link will remain active for two hours from the time the email was generated; be sure to check your spam/junk folder for this email if you don’t see it in your standard inbox.
In the event you are unable to react to this email before the link’s expiration or you don’t receive that email either, please let me know so we may explore any other possible options for resolution.
Hope this helps!

• Blackberry ID Password reset email doesn't contain a link to reset password!

I'm having the same issue that this guy had in this forum (which doesn't seem to have a solution?): http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-PlayBook/Blackberry-ID-Password-Reset/m-p/1745415#...
Basically, I'm trying to reset my Blackberry password for my Blackberry Curve. I get a password reset email when i request it, but the email does not contain a link to reset my password. The ENTIRETY of the email is as follows:
"This email has been automatically generated. Please do not reply to this email.
If you have not previously indicated that you wish to receive emails from Research In Motion Limited and/or its affiliated companies regarding exclusive offers and updates about BlackBerry products and services and you would like to do so, please click here.

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not my web browser distorting the email -- i've tried retrieving the email from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
Solved!
Go to Solution.

That is very strange indeed...with only 2 possible causes I can think of.
1) Your email app (on your PC) is blocking the link that is included in the email...many email apps will do this and sometimes you must override them. If you have an alternate interface to use (e.g., GMail webmail interface versus Outlook), then try the other and see if that helps. Depending on the email environment (e.g., private corporate email system), it is also possible that some gateway along the path is stripping out the necessary link(s) as a security measure.
2) The reset email facility is actually broken, and the email does not contain what it is supposed to. If that is the case, then it requires formal attention from RIM. The only way to achieve that is for you to contact VZW and have them escalate your case into RIM.
Good luck!

• Support forum password reset email not received...

I'm trying to login to the support forums. I have my user name, rsmith79. What I thought was my password apparently isn't. I tried multiple times to get a password reset email sent to me but I haven't received one. And yes, I'm using the correct email address to request one. I was stuck having to create this new account. I want to get access to my old account. Please help.

Have we got a password reset feature now then ?
I had not noticed !
* EDIT yes link is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/resendconfirmation
and I imagine that may only work with the correct and original email account.
You only seem to have made one other post [/questions/816588], but that is now old and unanswered and was closed by this forums automated systems.

• I can't receive any password reset email

Hello , I'm trying to reset my password , but I don't receive any email to reset it , I tried it many times and still no email
I'm afraid that someone hacks into my apple account and he changed my password , please help me to get back my account , btw this account is deferent one

If you don't know your password, don't know your security questions and don't have a rescue address or don't receive a reset email, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

• Password reset email being sent to an email address other than my id

Hi,
I am having a strange issue with password reset emails. I have two email addresses. Hypothetically and My apple ID uses the login id of and has another account associated with it called When I request a password reset it is sent to I can't find out why it's sending it to this account that I don't see as being linked to my apple ID. At some point in the past I have must have had this email address, , associated with my account but don't see it anywhere. I can still access this email address and can still retrieve the emails but I will be losing this email address next year... I get all notification emails to my @home address - only the reset emails go to @work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Serialc

So an example of why this is weird if I was not clear. When I change my apple id phone numer I receive an email on , when I ask for a password reminder I receive it on
I have tried changing my primary username/password to and back to to try and reset things - no change.

• Not receiving the iCloud password reset email

I am trying to assist a friend in retrieiving the information stored on his iCloud account via an iPhone that has since been broken
I've attempted to use the link several times to send an email to the Hotmail email address that is set-up as the iCloud user name but while I get the email sent confirmation, as yet no email has been received at this email address and I'm running out of suggestions as to how to help.
I also attempted to follow the security questions route to resetting the password but sadly failed at the first hurdle and I can only assume that his date of birth was originally entered incorrectly, as when I enter his actual birth date, I get an error message
I also thought that I might be able to access a password reset by using the same iCloud user name as his Apple ID, since with my own account, my Apple ID is the same as my iCloud user name but his iCloud user name is not recognised as an existing Apple ID
Any help or assistance would be most gratefully received as he's desperate to recover some photos etc that were uploaded to the iCloud from the broken iPhone and with him being somewhat technically illiterate, I appear to be the only person who can assist and without the password reset email being received at the Hotmail address which is the iCloud user name, I am totally flummoxed as to being able to offer any further assistance.
With my utmost thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to offer any sugggestions or advice in this bothersome matter
Kind Regards
Bernard

Thanks a million randers4 for taking the trouble to get back to me.
I will get my pal to come over when we've both time to sit down and foillow your advice (and the link). However, sadly I suspect that we might have a problem proving his identity to the satisfaction of the support team, as whenever I've tried to assist this mate in the past, the same issues have always arisen, where he's not got a clue as to usernames, passwords, security questions.
I presume he must have some sort of underlying paranoia about revealing any genuine information about himself online. This proves incredibly frustrating and I invariably end up tearing what's left of my hair out, in my efforts to resolve his myriad of technical queries and yet while I invariaby end up losing patience, tired of trying to drum it into him to write login details down, to keep them safe, or to only use answers that he knows he will remember, in light of everything that's come to light recently, in truth perhaps it's me who is the stupid one for freely giving up all my personal information online and it will eventually prove that he is most sensible for refusing to relinquish any genuine personal details about himself.
Then again, at least I am able to retrieve my iCloud photos!
Apologies for waffling on. Hopefully I can come back to say issue has been resolved, but I've an inkling I might have to return to enquire if there are any further options
Kind Regards
Bernard

• Received an apple id password reset email the night ipod classic was stolen. Coincidence?

My iPod classic was stolen from my vehicle. The same evening I received an apple id password reset email. Is it possible that the thief initiated the email with just the iPod and maybe my name (as it is on the vehicle registration in my car). There is no way this person could know my email address to initiate a request.

That's the only answer, if your email address was on the iPod the thief has it, everything on the iPod is open to him/her. But it would have to include your AppleID.
It was a coincidence.

• Just started getting about 300-400 emails per day from several fraudulent Addresses to my icloud email and am not sure how to stop receiving them, or create a rule to have them all go to Junk. When unsub, I get more. Emails from my contacts are now Junk?!

Just started getting about 300-400 emails per day from several fraudulent Addresses to my icloud email and am not sure how to stop receiving them, or create a rule to have them all go to Junk. When unsub, I get more. Emails from my contacts are now Junk?! How do I fix this? I have over 800 emails since 5Am YESTERDAY!

First, don't unsubscribe. This only tells the spammer that your email address is valid and they will send even more.
If this is only being sent from a few specific email addresses, you can set up a rules on icloud.com similar to the image below to send them to the trash. This describes how to set up a rule: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm6b1a3f8a.

• Can't login. Receiving password reset emails for w...

Hello,
I'm having really weird problems with my skype account [Redacted for privacy.]. I registered a new one just to post this message, because I can't log in with my original.
I checked - I have 3 emails set in my profile. I'm logged in on the Skype App. Everything I want to change requires a password, and it doesn't accept the pass, even though I have it saved (using 1pass).
When I attempt to reset my pass, I'm receiving password reset emails for users that aren't mine. I successfully changed the password for two different users, probably making them suffer the same problem as myself. Not sure how Skype picked those two users and decided they are me.
So, I'm logged in, but can't change anything, or use some skype features.
My username is [Redacted for privacy.]
SOS

I managed to fix it myself by manally entering the code instead of clicking on the reset link. This way a list with all accounts that had my email was showed and I was able to select my user from the list.
My email looks like a very popular typo.
