Don't have app store on my i pod. help.

i just bought the i pod touch about a week ago.
my friends also have it. they had the app store already on their ipods.
i dl some apps from itunes on my computer..now my question is..how do you put those apps on your ipod from your itunes library?

What version of software do you have on your ipod?
To put apps on your ipod from your computer, go to the Applications tab on itunes ( with ipod attached) and make sure that the sync applications box is checked and that you have selected what you want to sync.

If you do indeed have OS X 10.6.8 = Snow leopard then you should have the App Store.
    If not...
Go here  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1399 and Download and Install the Copmbo Update.
After the successful Install... Restart your Computer.

I don't have app store on my macbookpro. What I should do in order to download it?

The App Store for iPhones/iPads is in iTunes>iTunes Store and click 'App Store' in the bar across the top.
The Mac App Store for OSX applications is in your Applications Foldeer (10.6.7 required).

  • Can't load Lion because I don't have app store (and yes, I do have snow leopard fully updated)

I was running Lion and everything was fine. Then, the hard drive on my iMac died and I just had a new one installed. After that, I loaded snow leopard and then did a restore of all my files from time machine (I later found out that i should have just done a full restore from time machine and i didnt need to first install an operating system).  All of the apps that were updated through Lion dont work, including App Store, Safari, etc. -- they say: "You have Mac OS X 10.6.8.  The application requires Mac OS X 10.7 or later."  The problem is that the only way to upgrade to Lion is through the App Store, but everything i tried, including Software Update (which says I'm fully updated) doesnt work. I even deleted the Lion version of the App Store so i could try reinstalling the snow leopard version and that didnt work.  I also thought about eerasing the whole machine and doing a full restore but now for some reason all of my old backups are gone.

I understand the problem elifromnewyork is explaining. Unfortunately, I have a similar problem. Hard drive crashed>repaired it>restored with time machine backup>several apps are "circle slash" using my newly upgraded OSX 10.6.8. These apps include v1.2.2 App Store, v9.0.9 iMovie, v2.0 FaceTime, v7.1 Contacts, v6.0 Calendar, v1.0 Game Center, v1.0 Launchpad and a few others. iTunes v11.1.3 does not have the "circle slash", but it will not launch. I've tried:
    1. Erasing the drive and loading from the Snow Leopard disk and doing a software update.
    2. Erasing the drive and loading Snow Leopard, then doing a time machine restore, then a software update.
I have a full version of Drive Genius and have hammered the drive with every Drive Genius repair tool. Each repair says nothing is wrong or the action was concluded successfully. All I can come up with is that the time machine back up is somehow incomplete, or I have a setting turned off somewhere that is affecting a proper restore/upgrade.

  • How do I get Lion, if I don't have app store?

My current OS is 10.5.8 on both my iMac and Macbook and I would like to uprade to 10.7 without haveing to first buy 10.6 only to upgrade to 10.7. What are my options if any?

Lion is available via the MAS and you need to purchase/install Snow Leopard first. That route will cost about $60 total ($30 each for SL and Lion), or...
you can buy the USB stick from Apple which supposedly does not require Snow Leopard (I've not tried it, so I'm not entirely sure) - that will cost $69 from Apple.
Appears the first option is less expensive..... (and, yes, those are the only two options).

    Thank you for your advice.
Actually, I am aware that the upgrade is implemented in 10.6.7. However, up until now I haven't been able to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.7, as I have software that is not yet compatible. So I wondered how to do it within 10.6.6? May be it is not possible? Anyway, this gave me a push to track the software I use for compatibility, and I found that an update for 10.6.7 now is ready for download, so then I will probably solve two issues at the same time. Takes a little work though. Thank you again for your advice.

Its pretty new, and doesn't have app store?
I don't know why? Please help.

Go to the home page (the one with all the apps) and scroll all the way to the left-most page (a keyboard should pop up) type in App Store and select the result with the blue A icon next to it

You would have to put more money in the account.
You must be able to pay for the song and associated taxes.

  • Hi i have problem with my mac os x10.5.8 i cant't download new upload ?and the problem is that i can't found my app store on my mac .any help plz

hi i have problem with my mac os x10.5.8 i cant't download new upload ?and the problem is that i can't found my app store on my mac .any help plz

If you can... you need to Upgrade your OS X to 10.6.8
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
Snow Leopard Tech Specs  >  http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard and iTunes.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...

  • I am using ipad , my desktop do not have App Store icon, how can I got it

I am using ipad , my desktop do not have App Store icon, how can I got it, I can not brows App Store, I can not download free software

You cannot delete the App Store or any of the pre installed apps. It is on your iPad somewhere, but it may be hidden.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure that you didn't disable installing apps.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

  • HT4623 I have App Store updates indicated, but the update screen is blank.  How can I retrieve updates?

I have App Store updates indicated, but the update screen is blank.  How can I retrieve updates?

    From Demo:
If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.
