"Don't have enough space" to download iOS 8.2

I have tried to download iOS 8.2 for my iPhone 5  via iTunes but every time I click 'update' it says I need 610MB of free space on my iPhone to download it. However, On the sync bar at the bottom of iTunes it says I have 731.7 MB. Even when I take off more music and such from my iPhone it continues to say the same thing.
What do I do?

Update the firmware using iTunes on your computer, it will download iOS on your computer instead of on your iPhone.
