Don't have Skype password, can't login
I'm trying to login to skype, I know my name but don't know the password. I clicked the button to recover the password which reset my Microsoft account password (?) Now I can log into my Microsoft account, but then it asks me for my Skype password to link the accounts which I don't have.
I tried to recover the SKYPE password a second time and it says that I can only do that once every 24 hours.
Help?
Every mail account has a password. So lets start at the beginning.
Have you added your account to Thunderbird?
Do you know the email password issued by your mail provider? If not ask them!

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option? -
My iPhone 4S (iOS8) is locked to ex's iCloud account (but to my credit card!). I don't have the password. How can I change it to my new iCloud account?
My phone shows my name plus iCloud old iCloud account. My kids' new iPads show my name plus my new iCloud account. But both accounts show my children as "family" associated with them.
Basically, I need to change the iCloud account on my phone to my new one. But I'm not given that option.

i just got a macbook pro harddrive wasn't good so got a new one in and bought mac os x 10.6 to install.
unfortunately after inserted the disc in the drive, and press the alt key, a padlock shows up requiring a password but a don't have the password. there is nothing on the harddrive running. is there anything you can help me with. thank you.

I'm confused
I took this to mean that your DID have an install disk.
By holding down the "C" key, you are booting to the install CD.
Alternatively, you can hold down the "option" key, to select which drive to which you want to boot. -
I just got my new Iphone 5s activated at verizon. I came home to plug into my computer to get all my apps, etc that I had backed up from old phone. Computer keeps saying it can't access the new phone due to a password and that I need to enter password and try again. However, I don't have a password set on the new phone. Any help would be appreicated....I don't want to loose all my back up.
What is the EXACT message you're getting?

When I bought my iPhone 4s, a friend activated it for me using his email. Later I changed it to my own email on iPhone website (iCloud A/C). But when I try to update, I found it still shown my friend's email and I don't have his password. What can I do?
In addition to what FelipeV is telling you, I advise you to contact your friend and have him remove the iPhone from his apple id through icloud.com. Otherwise, if in the future you want to update the iOS or restore the iPhone for troubleshooting a problem, you may find that you cannot activate it again due to the feature Activiation Lock in iOS 7.
Once your friend has done this, you should deactivate Find my iPhone on your iPhone iCloud settings and then activate it back with your own Apple ID. -
I can't change my Apple ID on my iPhone because I don't have the password for my old Apple ID which the system requires. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Perhaps if you visited the "Manage My Apple ID" site you could recover the password to the old Apple ID.

I can't delete the account because I don't have a password to delet it.
use same password as your appleID. I did the same thing when setting up iCloud & typo my user name with an r for a t, now I'm stuck with that stupid mispelled icloud email showing up everytime. But, I can type the same wrong iD with my appleID password & it logs in. There is just no option to edit that typo, so I am stuk with a bogus iCloudID. With Mavrick deleting Notes on MAC, unless I use iCloud, its even more annoying to see that typo every f*ing time, no matter what ID I use, either AppleID or iCloud mispelled ID. I just use the same password. So for, no way to get rid of, nor edit iCloudID.

Try resetting your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Click the "down arrow" next to your name at the top right side of the page and click "Account." Enter your username and password and click "View Account" to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click "Edit." Select the "None" button and click "Done." Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

How do I get rid of an old icloud account that was hacked and i don't have the password for?
I was hacked awhile back and had to change to a new email. i was able to change my itunes account over but my icloud did not come over to the new account.
I can not delete or change the old icloud account because I don't have the password for it. what can i do to fix this?Use the Settings app to sign out of the old ID and sign in with the new one.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID > Sign Out > then sign in with the correct Apple ID.
Not that all apps purchased or downloaded with the old Apple ID will require the old ID and password in order to be updated. To avoid this delete all apps associated with the old ID and download them again with the new ID. Be aware that you will most likely lose data associated with deleted apps and you will have to pay again for any apps that have a fee. -
Lost iPhone 4, bought iPhone 5, would like to transfer backup to new iPhone 5 from last synch with computer but don't have the password.
What password? Did you encrypt your backup & now can't remember the encrypted backup passcode? If so, no, you won't be able to use that backup. If on a Mac, & you elected to save the passcode to your Keychain, you can recover it from that. Otherwise, you'll have to delete the backup. The data is unrecoverable.
