Don't know what I did wrong.
I'm trying to move songs from a Toshiba notebook to a new Acer net book which does'nt have a cd/dvd drive. I'm using a 2 GB usb stick. The transfers were going smoothly yesterday but today for some reason when I try to play the songs on I-tunes on the new computer, I get an error message stating it can't find the original file. I can't see that I'm doing anything different today, the transfers are being done in windows explorer, both computers are authorized, some are purchases and some are from CD downloads, all play fine on the original computer. Has anyone experienced this. I've tried everything I can think of. The older computer uses Vista and the new one has XP for some reason. Again the funny thing is, most of the music I moved yesterday works fine but not all of it. Please help.
YOu need to make sure that you save the music from the USB to somewhere new on your computer. If the files were ONLY on your USB and the USB is no longer plugged into the computer then Itunes won't be able to find the file. So I would just make a new file on your computer somewhere.

The backup encryption passcode has nothing to do with locking a user out of their backup.
If the encryption passcode has been forgotten, nothing can be done. There is no reset for the encryption passcode.
Delete the backup and create a new one. -
How to get messages in to iPhone and iPad too
You have to log into iMessage on your iPhone and iPad. So that means on your iPhone, go to settings, messages, send and receive, then click "Use your Apple ID for iMessage." log into your Apple ID. Then do the same thing with your iPad. So then it should work fine again. Just make sure there is no other device logged into iMessage with your Apple ID, just your iPad and iPhone

Hi. I'm new to the iPhone, but I have had iPods for 5 years or so. I don't know if it works the same, but here's what I know from my iPod experience.
Each iPod is associated with a particular iTunes account. If you plug your device into your computer, it should see your iTunes account and do what ever you have set your iTunes to do when it sees your device (mine is set to sync automatically). If you plug into a different computer, it asks if you want to sync to that iTunes, and if you say yes, it will replace your content with what is in the other iTunes account.
Still, you say it was your own computer that did this to you, so I'm a bit stumped. It sounds like when you had the iPhone 4 you had different content than when you got your iPhone 5. What was the difference? Songs, contacts, photos, apps, etc.? Do you still have the content of your iPhone 5 on your computer? I have only managed my iPhone with my computer, with the exception of downloading a few apps directly, but those apps get placed on my computer when I sync, so I was under the impression that other things that go directly to your phone would also sync, but maybe that's wrong on my part.
You might want to open iTunes on your computer and go to Store>View My Account to make sure you have the correct log-in. Could it be that you made a new Apple ID with the new phone, and your computer is still logged in with your old one?
Please post back if you find a solution, or if you have any new info. -
I don't know how to go back to the original look of my Dashboard. I don't know what I did, but now when I click on it, my Words with Friends game comes up and that is all. How do I "reset" it to the original things on it?

I don't know what I did when I was checking my emails, but somehow I ended up with a large window that displays a list of the emails but not the content of the selected one like before, unless I open each one individually... I tried shutting down, hoping that the email app would restore through some default setting, but it came back the same way... It's probably something simple, but I watched all the tutorials I could find, and there isn't any mention of how to configure the email window.
I played around with the toolbar, trying to figure out how to restore the original window, but nothing worked. I can sort things in many ways that I couldn't care less about! I just want the old setting back that shows the window where the upper half is the latest emails and the bottom half is the opened email that is high- lighted. Help!Thank you, so much, Stedman! I feel like an idiot, but I never ran into this before! I'm new out here (relatively) and sometimes the simplest things seem to ambush me!! lol Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
* Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
* Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
* Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder and can see the original files and even copy them from Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes the HD, and when I try to work with the picture, it doesn't let me because it says that the master is in a volume that's offline. Does someone know how to fix this?
Just to clarify:
Does Aperture not see the drive at all (that is, does Aperture also not see the drive in the import and export dialogue) or are only the Master Files disconnected?
If Aperture does not recognize the drive at all, check the permission settings of the drive in the "Get Info" panel and make sure you have read/write access, also the "Ignore ownership on this volumn" checkmark, this should be set.
If correcting the permissions does not help, make sure you have a backup, and then use "Disk Utility" to run a check and to repair the volumn, if necessary.
If Aperture can see the drive on import and export, but only does not see the master image files, then try to reconnect your masters.
Create a smart album or use a Search with the rule: "File status: offline", to select all images that need reconnecting to their masters.
Right click on the first image of the selection.
From the Pop-up window select "Locate referenced Files..."
Now the "Reconnect All" button should appear.
Click it. -
I'm working on a movie in FCP and using cutaways and titles in many places in the timeline. While working on a movie 2 days ago, and I don't know what I did, all the cutaways and titles are now linked to the movie clips from below rather than above. When I "grab" them and drag them up to the top-side, as soon as I "release", they go back down. Along the menu bar, I've check the "view", "modify", "clips", etc., looking for any thing that might refer to appearance of the time line. What must I do to get the cutaways and titles back on top where they belong? The audio clips remained properly-linked to the time line and play properly. The cutaways and titles can be seen but do not play.
The cutaways and titles should be linked above the timeline clips, not below

I have an iPhone 5 and just recently when I opened the camera there is a big black border around the screen causing the picture itself frame to be smaller I don't know what I did to cause this or what I can do to make it go away can anyone help/
First off, try a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if the problem persists.

Can anyone please help????If your Dock icon for iPhoto is not working, go to Applications and try opening iPhoto from there.
Then once the new iPhoto icon appears on the Dock, control click on it, select keep on Dock and drag the other old icon off the dock.

Getting iMovie 9.0.9 events that are AVI files into iMovie 10
