"Don't load tabs until selected" option no longer there?

I have installed a new version of Firefox (long overdue) from version 17 to 31. I was able to customize everything to my liking after some fiddling around but one setting remains that I cannot rectify. Firefox's options menu no longer seems to include the "Don't load tabs until selected" checkbox as can be seen in this screenshot

This wouldn't be a problem for me if the option was off by default, but it seems to be on. I have tried to find the correct technical setting for this in the about:config menu as per suggestion of one of the threads on the Firefox Support forum.

Unfortunately, "browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground" - which I have set to "true" - does not seem to work, even after restarting Firefox, nor does "browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground".
Please help! I will be very, very grateful if all my tabs load immediately and at the same time again upon opening my browser; a practice many users over the years seem to disagree with.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

Don't load tabs until selected option makes firefox sometimes forget the correct address of a tab.

Observed on the steam marketplace (on activation some older tabs will load an item instead of what used to be a search query listing multiple items, page url changed and no back button available).
For example:
The tab url was
http://steamcommunity.com/market/search?q=RPG+Maker+card
Browser was then closed.
Sometimes when I come back to that tab in another session the url changes to one of the listings inside (a page that was visited) with no way of going back to the old url.
In this example
steamcommunity.com/market/listings/753/220700-No%20Transparency?filter=RPG%20Maker%20card
Also note the %20 instead of spaces.
This happens to about 50% of my tabs. (I have over 50 open)
I do not know if this applies to other website, but I would assume it would.
Is this a known issue?

Hi Ansive, in version 27 this is not a known issue yet. In order to reproduce the issue, can you reproduce this in a new profile without the add ons enabled?

Don't load tabs until selected and then load with refresh (or skip cache) [Firefox 19]

I use Firefox 19 with the option "Don't load tabs until selected" (in Options/Tabs). It's a neat option but when the tab reloads, it doesn't refresh the page but just reloads it at the state when the browser last closed.
With Firefox 3.6, the addon Bar Tab provides the same option (because it was not an in-built option in FF yet) but reloads the page with a refresh so it is up-to-date.
How can I achieve this in Firefox 19, reloading with a true refresh or by automatically skipping the cache?

That is how it is implemented in current Firefox versions. 
With this setting only the memory cache will be used.

"Don't load tabs until selected" ... Where is the setting so that it affects the tabs when I click "Open all in tabs" from History?

I am trying to reload all the tabs from history, it's a couple thousand. I am not concerned about system RAM I have 16GB. I know it will be slow, I'm not looking for any warnings or questions about why I have to reload that many tabs or how to work with the restore.bak sessionstore files.
The question I need an answer to is, "What setting do I need to change so that when I reload multiple tabs, it doesn't say "connecting" on all of them even though I have already selected "Don't load tabs until selected"

I think we both understand what you want. And we're both saying we are not aware of any built-in way to do this.

WiFi Security Option No Longer There in 1.0.1 Update??

Is the Security Option under the WiFi/Settings no longer there in 1.0.1 Update??
Without it there, it is no longer allowing me to get on 128BIT HEX WEP encrypted WiFi Networks.

No, it is no longer there...
But, I HAVE found a solution...
For a 128BIT HEX password, if you place a 0x before the password, it will then take.
I noticed these two characters before other 128BIT HEX passwords in the Keychain application on my MacBook, and tried it on the iPhone, and it works!!

Go to System Preferences, under keyboard and on the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab, select the last option, near the bottom "all controls". Function+Control+F7 should also do the trick.

Select Options in multiple views

I am running into a problem. I have an application with 2 views. I use select-options in both views, but with different fields. When I move from view 1 to view 2, it works correctly, displaying the select-options for view 2. When I return to view 1 however, the container still shows the select-options for view 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alex, please explain what you mean by 'clear the nodes'. All the setup for the select-options is currently done in the WDDOINIT in both views.
Sarath, could you please explain what you mean by 'changing the lifetime'. I've never heard this term. Where would this be done.
I copied the select-options code I had in my WDDOINIT into my HANDLEIN screen, and it dumps on the first 'ADD_SELECTION_FIELD' method call. If I add a
l_ref_comp_usage_so->delete_component( ).
before my
l_ref_comp_usage_so->create_component( ).
the selection screen comes up blank.

ECC6.0 t-code COOIS - how to get the "Profile" select-option list

We are implementing ECC6.0
We upgraded one of the systems from 4.7 to ECC6.0 (and also kept data: documents, users profiles, variants,u2026etc).
My question is regarding standard transaction COOIS.
I do comparison in current 4.7 and ECC6.0 systems (I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW in both systems).
The thing is that in our ECC6.0 system the transaction COOIS doesnu2019t display Profile on select-options screen.
There are only the following items (select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0):
-LIST
-LAYOUT
-Prod.orders checkbox
-Planned orders checkbox
u2026And u2018Selectionu2019 tab with other fields
In the current Enterprise 4.7 system the transaction COOIS displays the following select-option screen:
-LIST
-PROFILE
-LAYOUT
-Prod.orders checkbox
-Planned orders checkbox

Questions:
1.     Is that possible to maintain / see and select a PROFILE in COOIS of ECC6 (or due to new functionality it no more available on that screen ?) How to do that?
2.     Looking at layouts (I ran COOIS in two systems and compared the results) I canu2019s see in ECC6.0 some icons like u2018Refreshu2019, u2018Order logu2019, u2018Display order componentsu2019, u2018Long textu2019 , u2026.) But all of them are in 4.7 layout. How to get them in ECC6.0 ?
What I have already explored:
u2022     ECC6.0 has a new config. t-code COISN (4.7 has only COIS) . I created my new overall profile there, set my own layout, but running COOIS still canu2019t see/use the PROFILE;
u2022     I have compared the standard structure PPIO_ENTRY_SC1100 in 4.7 and ECC6.0 and found the new component COIS_LISTTYP in ECC6.0. In this situation I ran a new t-code u201CDefine New List Typesu201D (it doesnu2019t exist in 4.7) and created my new entry, but still canu2019t see PROFILE on select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0;
u2022     I also tried situation when both config. transaction COIS (in 4.7 and ECC6.0) had the SAME overall profiles u2013 still canu2019t see PROFILE on select-option screen of COOIS in ECC6.0;
u2022     I found a new icon u201CNavigation profileu201D in result layout of COOIS ECC6.0 Is that right place where I can maintain the icons I need (see my second question) ?

The reports are modified if am right as of ECC 5.0. Refer to note - 747469 which gives a list of all reports modified.
If am right by profile you mean navigation profile, this is now in the display screen. The content remains, only thing is the layout is modified & more structured. So i would suggest you to have a look around in COOIS report & you will find the info.
The navigation profile is adjacent to the icon called Environment (its a drop down list).
Revert if you face any issues.

Select-options in subscreen

Hi people!
I've got a subscreen with an I/O field and a subscreen. In that subscreen I load a select-option, but when I put data on the fields, I realize the I/O field keeps the data but my select-option is 0, there's no data on it. I'm sure the answer must be really simple but I can't find it and it's driving me nuts. Thanks in advance for your help.

You also have to call the subscreen in the PAI of the Dynpro.

How to Expand/Collapse Select Option Tray

This works fine, but how do I dynamically expand and collapse the select-option Tray ? There are plenty of examples for expanding/collapsing normal Trays by binding the "expanded" attribute at design time or dynamically. But with a Tray created as a select-option block I do not have a reference to the Tray.
I have searched high and low but cannot find how to do this.
I don't want to create the Tray at design time because there will be select-options above and within the Tray.
Any help will be appreciated.

put var in session.

OVS Help in Select Options-Text to be Shown and Code to be captured

Hello Experts,
I am using Select options in web dynpro abap.
On a particular View container i have added a selection field using ADD_SELECTION_FIELD which has an OVS help to it.
The selection field is of type CODE.
And on click of a button i am reading the select option fields using GET_RANGE_TABLE_OF_SEL_FIELD and assigining this to a
field symbol which inturn is being set to an attribute.
My requirement is to show the TEXT to the user and send the CODE to the method which is called
when the button is clicked and a table is populated.
Normally we can keep two attributes one for TEXT and the other for CODE but for Select options i am not very sure how this can be achieved.
Because in select options we are reading the values present on the select option field and there may be multiple values.
Please guide me through this.

This can be easily achieved if you convert the selection field to dropdown.
Create a valueset containing the list of valid values and then pass this to the ADD_SELECTION_FIELD method

Hi Prabhu,
I have two radio buttons ex: R1 and R2 and three Fields Ex: Vendor, User Name and Password.
When I select R1 Vendor field should be Visible and when I select R2 Vendor field should be invisible.
I created one attribute of type WDUI_VISIBILITY and binded in Visbility property of Vendor field.
On action of R1 I am setting attribute value as Visible using Set_attribute method and On Action of R2 I am setting BLANK in Set_attribute method. But somehow I am unable get the solution......
