Don't Pay for Onsite Service Contract!

My AC adapter died this week on a 9-month old T500. Lenovo says that it will take 5-10 business days to ship me a new one and that there is nothing they can do for me in the timing being. They also won't send an onsite representative out, as they apparently wouldn't have been able to do anything for me.
So much for the next-day service contract that I paid for with my laptop. Such poor service!

onsite repair technician are not magician, they can't make parts magically appear out of thin air. They get sent the parts from warranty service department too, so it would be a waste of your time and his time to come over with nothing.
But 10 days waiting period for an adapter sounds bit strange, since this part should be something that warranty department has lot of, and an internal transfer from sales to warranty department should take 3 to 4 days max for a large city.

Is it necessary to create a billing plan for the service contracts.
My requirement.
In CRM 7.0, we created a service contract. For the item in that service contract there is a Billing Plan tab.
In that tab we have the dates for Period, Billing Date etc.
Now our requirement is to get the Billing Date quarterly. For this we created date rules and date profiles and assigned these date profiles to header and item level transactions.
And we are able to see the date rules under the drop down of the billing date.
I copied the standard date rule BILL004 to ZBILL004.
But when we changed to our date rule it is not changing to quarterly date.
Can you please let me know what are the configurations to be done for this.
Is the billing plan has to be created for this kind of scenario.

They probably wont fix it for you because i don't think their trained or equipped for that but they'll probably take in your warranty voided iPhone 4 and give you a replacement unit for about $200.

FYI: Found the problem. In the Administrator's Guide (of course not in the supplied packages documentation about DBMS_JOB) I found:
"How Jobs Execute
SNP background processes execute jobs. To execute a job, the process creates a session to run the job.
When an SNP process runs a job, the job is run in the same environment in which it was submitted and with the owner's default privileges.
When you force a job to run using the procedure DBMS_JOB.RUN, the job is run by your user process. When your user process runs a job, it is run with your default privileges only. Privileges granted to you through roles are unavailable."
And of course we had set up our users to get all privileges through Roles, so CREATE TABLE wasn't one of my DEFAULT PRIVILEGES!
It sure would be nice if Oracle documentation could get its act together and provide ALL information about a topic in a logical place. The effort to find the information about privileges occurred after it took me 1/2 hour to figure out why my submissions were failing - I didn't have the ';' included in the quoted string for the procedure to be called - which I only figured out after looking at the code for DBMS_JOB where it made the note to make sure you include the ';'. Wouldn't it be good to have that MINOR DETAIL mentioned in the description of DBMS_JOB.SUBMIT?????

No. But you have to purchase a data plan in order to use the iPad via the 3G connection. Some 3G iPad owners do not have internet service at home and rely only on the 3G connection.
If you do not purchase a data plan to use with the 3G, then you will only be able to use your iPad where you can find a WiFi connection - like at a library, or a Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, a friend's house that has WiFi .....

Why doesn't my iphone 4s connect to the internet even though I pay for the service?

I bought an iphone 4s but i'm not able to get any internet connection even though I pay for internet service through Verizon. Both Verizon and Apple have troubleshooted but still not connection! Apple gave me another new iphone 4c but still having the same problem. Now Verizon is goiing to send me a Refurbished iphone 4c. If I get this refurbished phone and still have the same problem I will be stuck with a phone with no internet. Has anyone else ever had this problem or anyone know what the problem is?

Default GL account (cost element) for external service contracts

question about GL being defaulted from contract for external services
The requirement is to have GL (cost element) being defined per service sub item defaulting to work order. Account assignment is unknown, because the costs might be settled later to cost center or AFE or else.
You could default cost element either through material group (which doesn't enable cost element to contract) or with account assignment category 'K' or 'F' which do not suit, cause the former requires cost center, that is unknown yet, whereas the latter requires assignment to order which doesn't make sense at all. Theoretically, it could be done with acc assignment cat 'U' , but cost element is not enabled with that category..
I was assuming that cost center which you are required to enter along with cost element while creating service sub item referring to some sort of internal accounting. The system also requires service sub item acc assignment category being aligned with requisition (which is 'F') and would in fact create PR referrencing actual work order number. But still, doesn't it make sense having contract referencing another order.. Also, we don't use default values for PM ext operation data.
So, the question is how to accomplish the requirement with Unknown assignment category? what is the point of defining cost center in the contract in given circumstances? Is there any work around exists?

Try this: IMG -> Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Processing -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Settings for Order Types -> Create Default Value Profiles for External Procurement.
After that assign it to order type: Default Values for Task List Data and Profile Assignments.

Can anyone please, point out some documentation for the Public APIs provided under the Service Contracts for R12.
Though I can look at the source code of the APIs, I cannot figure out what parameter is used for what, due to lack of proper comments in the PL/SQL code.
Any pointers would be of great help.
