Don't receive all POP emails on iPhone and iPad

I woke up this morning and had (4) new emails in my Entourage mail on my MacBook Pro...but only (1) of them showed up on my iPad and (2) of them on my iPhone. The settings seem to be correct since I am receiving some of the emails just not all of them. This has been happening with my iPhone for some time but now that I have an iPad the same thing is happening.. I seem to only get some of the emails I receive on my laptop. If it's just a delay it's an awfully long one because the mail items were received on my laptop more than (5) hours ago.

I am having the same issue on mine. My exchange account has lost two emails. My family member with a yahoo account has been complaining about this for a few weeks (first generation iPad). It just seems to be random emails. I have tried resetting the accounts.

If you are using the iMessage app on your iPad, you need to use the same email address you use on your iPhone. But, be advised, that when people email your cell number on your iPhone, you will not get the message on your iPad. iPad is not a cell phone. And also know that iMessage on iPad is intended to only let you text with other iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) devices.

You can setup an iCloud account. You get 5GB of storage space for free. Then your mail will automatically sync via Wi-Fi between your iPhone and iPad.

Copy the entire iTunes folder within the music folder on your old Mac to the music folder on your new Mac.
You can use an external hard disc for the transfer, or you can connect the computers together using Firewire Target Disc Mode as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1661

I lost my MacBook calendar when I performed the action required by 5 May although I have all information on my iPhone and iPad. How do I restore the data on my iCal calendar?

I have performed all the relevant actions required before 5 May to conform with Apple instructions. I have lost my calendar on my MacBook although all is still OK on my iPhone and iPad. I have tried various ways to restore the data including going to MobileMe but I have been unsuccessful. I have tried to merge the information from my iPhone but this did not work either. My Contacts and mail are all OK. Coincidentally I am also unable to access my external hard drive which is working in itself (it is warm and whirrs when activated) but my back ups are failing. Any ideas out there?

Sync all iMessages with computer, iPhone and iPad

I just installed iMessage BETA on my Mac OSX 10.7.4 How can I change the setting so that when I send from either my Mac, iPhone or iPad they all SYNC from the same place. I send iMessages to friends and they say that they are getting them from 3 different place, 2 of my emails or my phone. If I send from my computer their replies only come to my computer. I would like to send 1 message (either from computer, iPhone or iPad) and have it come form ONE address and be on ALL my devices and when a person responds have it be on ALL devices.

On your mac log into Messages with the Apple id/email address you're using. Make sure in preferences that this is the account that's enabled and appears as the "address you can be reached at".
On your phone in Settings at Messages make sure iMessage is 'on". At "Receive At" enter and make sure the same Apple id/email address that you used on your mac is entered. You should then see below the Apple id "you can be reached for messages at " your phone number ( entered automatically ) and your email address. Below this is Caller id you will see your phone number and email address here. I have my phone number checked because not everyone I text will have my email address and thus would not recognize that it's from me. All my messages sync between my ipad, mac, and phone so I've left it this way with no issues.
On your ipad in Settings at Messages make sure that the "receive at" field shows your Apple id/email address that you've used and that it shows both in the Apple ID field and below at the "you can be reached for messages at" field.
On my mac, since I have two email, Apple id accounts I have to make sure that the correct one is selected for the Messages account. Initially the wrong one was checked causing a few problems. As long as you're using the same email address on each device and your phone shows you can be reached at two addresses - phone number and email you should be good to go.

Corrupted photo files in emails in iPhone and iPad

Wonder if anyone is having a similar problem.
My wife and I each have a Gmail account. The setup is that mail goes to an iPhone and a MacBook Air for me and an iPhone, an iPad and a MacBook Pro for my wife.
When we receive some emails with photo attachments (the sender's email account is irrelevant, as it happens across various platforms) and open them in either the iPhone or iPad, the photo file is often corrupted. However, when we open the same email file in either laptop, the photo is fine. In addition, if we go to the email stored in the Gmail server (All Mail), the attachment is not corrupted. I can access the email in the Gmail serve, find the photo file to be OK, forward it and end up with the same result - OK on the laptop, corrupted on the iPhone.
We have talked with the Apple help desk at a couple of stores and they feel that the issue may be caused by different servers being used by Google - i.e., one for mobile devices and one for non-mobile. Neither help desk person had come across this issue.
The thesis put forth after posting this issue in a Gmail forum is that the mobile device client is the problem, since the computer based clients work fine and display the files in the messages correctly.Therefore, the mobile client concerned either isn't downloading properly or it can't display correctly.
Anyone else having this issue?

How do I get the junk filter on the MAC to also filter email on IPhone and IPad?

I have a MAC, IPad and Iphone and am using Icloud to keep calenndars, photos and music up to date. however, my email junk filter on the MAC doesn't filter via Icloud for email on the Ipad or Iphone. It would be great while traveling to not waste time and effort deleting junk mail.

The inkjet spam email is the same one that is causing my iPad's issue! I'm having the exact same problem as you're having --touching the email or having the email at the top of the screen freezes/shuts down ipad. I've been to two Apple stores and no one seems to know what's going on, plus, they claim they haven't heard of this problem i suggested they go to the Apple Commnity to get a feel for what's going on.

It's a COX POP email and I keep more on my laptop and in folders than I want on my phone or iPad.

POP mail is not synced. POP mail is picked up individually by each email client. If you want to pick up less on one device than the other, set the one device you want to master the account with to delete mail from the server after you pick it up. That way, it would not be available to the other mail clients. Otherwise, you would need to delete whatever mail you do not want on the individual devices. You can also keep in on whatever devices you want and it will not affect the other devices.
