Don't see my Xbox from my Microsoft Surface (Devices)

Hi,
I just switched from RCN to FiOS Internet.
I was able to add my Xbox to the devices (Microsoft Surface), but currently my MS Surface don't see Xbox.
The XBox directly connected to the WiFi router and my surface is connected wirelessly.
Maybe I should enable something on my router, but I could not find what exactly.
My PC (Windows 8) connected by the cable and can see Xbox.
Any advise?

well I have noticed a problem that might fall under this catagory.
So try the following, log into the router at http://192.168.1.1 and then go to the
advanced at the top menu.
accept the warning
go to igmp proxy
select disable
Save.
Test

Thanks for the reply. I think I figured out the problem. Apple has confused (at least in my mind) the different IDs that people can have. In the iCloud settings, they use the term Apple ID and not iCloud ID. I guess there really is no such thing as an iCloud ID. There are Apple IDs with various attributes. This is not clearly explained or easy to see (how could I look up to see if my Apple ID is associated with iTunes for example?).
I created, what I thought were iCloud IDs for each family member, but we all use my Apple ID for iTunes.
One other question - why does the syncing of Notes using iCloud require an @me.com email account. That makes no sense to me.

How Can I Print from my Microsoft Surface Running Windows 8 RT?
Most new wireless printers won’t have a problem printing from the Microsoft Surface with Windows 8 RT. All you should have to do for these printers is tell them to print and they will. Older wireless, Ethernet, and USB printers might not have an officially supported driver in Windows 8 RT, but there is a way to get the printers working. There are different requirements depending on how the printer is being connected to the Surface.
Note: All steps below are only for PhotoSmart, OfficeJet, DeskJet, and other HP Inkjet printers. These steps are not for Laserjet printers or printers from other manufacturers. These steps may not work for all Inkjet printers. If these steps don’t work, try different drivers from the list until you find one that will work (you’ll understand what I mean once you follow the steps below). If none of the drivers work, your printer will not work with the Surface.
For networked printers (wireless or Ethernet), all you need is either the Surface keyboard, or an external USB keyboard to connect to the Surface. This just makes anything you have to type easier to type. You will also need to have the Surface and the printer connected to the same network.
Starting from the right edge, swipe your finger left on the Surface screen to bring up the Charms bar.
Touch Search.
Below the Search Box, touch Settings.
In the search Box, type Devices and Printers.
Touch Devices and Printers.
Touch Add a Printer.
Touch “My printer is not listed”.
Select the TCP/IP option and touch Next.
Enter the printer’s IP address and touch Next. Note: You can get this from the printer’s Network Configuration Page, or from your router’s DHCP list.
The Surface will locate the printer and try to install it. The install will fail and the Surface will ask you what you want to do, search the internet for the driver, or manually install the driver. Choose to install the driver yourself.
Touch “I want to choose from a list of drivers”.
If no drivers appear in the list, make sure the box next to “Show compatible drivers” is not checked.
Choose HP from the Manufacture list.
Choose DeskJet PCL 3 Class Driver from the Drivers list. If that driver doesn't work, try using the Photosmart PCL3 driver, or the Officejet PCL 3 driver. (Thank you JonW for letting me know about these other alternates. )
Touch Next.
Touch Finish.
Test printing.
For USB connected printers, you will need a USB cord to attach the printer to the computer.
Connect the printer to the computer via USB.
Windows will try to find the drivers but will not be able to.
Here Windows may ask you if you want to choose the driver to install. If it does skip to step 14 below.

HT3228 I don't see the "Delete from server" option under Incoming Settings on my IPhone4, is there a way to keep it from the server so that I can check emails from multiple devices?.

I'm using IPhone 4 to check emails. Is there a way on the IPhone to setup that the messages would still be on the server so that when I check on my laptops the messages are still there. I can do this setup for multiple laptops but don't know how I can do it for the IPhone.
I got help and setup all the things they told me but the problem is that I did not see the "Delete from server" option under Incoming Settings on my IPhone 4 to select. Is there anything else that I am missing? Thanks

The default for IMAP is that it does NOT delete the email from the server when it pushes the email to a device. Only if you tell a device to tell the server to delete the email, will it actually delete from the server.

I am having issues with not seeing my IPhone on my computer under devices.
When I select 'Computer & Devices' on my computer it is there but not recoginzed in ITunes.

Hotmail users don't see pictures send from program "mail" on Mac

I'm using "mail" (i.e. Mac's standard mail program) under Mac OS 10.6.8 and whenever I want to put image files (like JPEG or PNG documents [*]) in attachment it includes it right in the text body of the mail itself… resulting in red crosses if the recipient uses hotmail.
[*] even PDF documents are plainly SHOWN instead of having it as an attachment! Grrrr…
• Anyone who can tell me how to avoid including documents in the text body of the mail (and thus to keep it as a separate attachment)?
• Anyone who can tell me how to help hotmail users on PC to view images coming from a Mac sender?

I was having the same problem; but I've found a workaround that might help. Here's what to do:
Set up your iCloud account on your iPhone/iPad with whichever email address you want as your main one; either .me or .mac.
Set up a Gmail account if you don't already have one. It doesn't matter if you don't ever intend you use it for sending email.
Go to your 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' settings on your iPhone/iPad, and add the Gmail account if you don't already have one set up.
Go into your Gmail settings and under 'Account' list all the email addresses you want want to send from as your secondary option. In my case, I had already set up iCloud with .mac so I've listed the .me one in my Gmail settings. Put a comma and space between each email address. I've got three email addresses listed here. (See screen grab). Oddly, I didn't seem to have the comma key available on my iPad, so I listed my email addresses in 'Notes' and cut/pasted them in.
Now when you send an email, you should have all those addresses available to send from.

I have Outlook 2007, and want to sync calendar to my iPhone from Outlook through iTunes.
1.
In Outlook, I see "Calendar", which comes from Exchange.
I don't use this account.
2.
In the same Outlook, I see "Calendar" located in the "private folder". I use this account, and want to sync this to the iPhone.
3.
In iTunes I only see "Calandar" (1).
How do I sync the other "Calendar" (2)?
I'm using USB-cable on a new MBP with Mac OS 10.5

Update:
When I connect my iPod to the same iTunes, I see both the calendars. I see the calendar under "private folders".
Why not, when connecting my iPhone with the latest OS?

10.9 don't see my files from my external hard drive

Hi Guys
I just did the update to get 10.9 and when I plug my external hard drive, all my files are gone ;(
when I restart with the original CD Rom, with Disk Utility, I can see that my files are there
any idea is happenning with this update ?
it's a Seagate 4 TB hard deive

Welcome to the HP Community! I will be happy to help you getting the D110 printing. I would like to start by getting some information from the printer by printing off a Wireless Network Test. Click on the button beside wrench icon in the lower left hand corner and then scroll over until you see the Wireless Menu and press OK. In the wireless menu you will see the option for Run Wireless Network Test.
From the report can I get the following information:
What message do you have at the top of the report?
Under the Diagnostic section does everything pass?
Under the Configuration section what is the SSID and IP Address?
On the Surface itself what is the IP Address?
Here is a document about setting up the printer on Windows RT. Step Two: Install the Software will show you how to add a printer on Windows RT. Is that how you are trying to add it as well?

Hello, my question as it is. I've learned of these updates being available from Dec.3 but still don't see them. Moreover for iTunes it marks v. 12.0.1 as having been installed and waiting for update at the same time. The version I'm on currently is 11.4. What's going on and how do I update?

No. Photo stream only streams photos, not videos. To transfer videos between your devices you can either import them to iTunes and sync them, or (more conveniently) use an app like PhotoSync or Bump.

There's a couple of ways to get through to the authorisation controls in the 11.0.x versions.
The control is still in the Store menu, but first (if you're using iTunes versions 11.0.x) you might need to bring up the menu bar to see the Store menu.
If you're using 11.0.x, click on the wee boxy icon up in the top-left corner of your iTunes to see the "Show Menu Bar" control, as per the following screenshot:
Then you'll find the control in the Store menu:
Alternatively, if you don't want to bring up the menu bar, it's still possible to get into the authorise controls via nested menus accessible from the wee boxy icon. Here's a screenshot of where to find them:

HOWEVER, when I try to upload Icloud on my actual phone, it pulls my very old Apple ID....an email that is no longer in use. If the apple id being used by iCloud isn't the one you want, go to settings > icloud > delete account. It doesn't actually delete the account, but it removes it from your device so you can put in the right apple id

Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.
