Don;t seem to be able to re-install Nike plus

I reset my iPod nano recently because it was acting up. The problem seems to have resolved but I don;t seem to be able to upload Nike+ from the little widget that came with the original package.
When I put it into the iPod it shows up on the list but as soon as I disconnect it it disappears fron my iPod screen.
Any ideas?
Have I forgotten something basic?

Is it telling you that your data plan isn't activated?  Even though you know it is?  Plus when you try to connect to the internet, at the top left corner where it says 3G, it looks like it's working then when your web page doesn't load, that 3G turns to a little solid dot? But once you close the Safari app, that 3G reappears?
If what I wrote, welcome to the problem I am having. Have you tried to shut the iPad completely off?  But don't turn off the data plan. Then reboot the iPad. This worked for me, for awhile, but now nothing is working. Mine stopped working Friday. I will be heading to the Verizon store on Monday. Apparently, from what I've read, this is affecting many iPad 2 with the Verizon data plan.

    Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.

    You can use the latest iTunes (11.1.3) on 10.6.8 - if Software Update doesn't provide it (which it should) then you can download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

    Mail doesn't support notes. If you use iCloud, you have them in it because Notes is an application

    Try reset iPad
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    Note: Data will not be affected.

  • How do I add songs to a current playlist now that I've downloaded iOS 7 to my iPhone 4? I don't seem to be able to add songs anymore-- when I try to add the song, it just starts playing it instead.

    I used to be able to open the playlist, choose to Edit it, then go to the song I wanted to add and the song would have a plus sign next to it and if I tapped the song, it would be added to the playlist however many times I tapped it. Now when I Edit the playlist, I go to the song I purchased to add it and there is no plus sign, but I figured, hey maybe that's new too, and I tap it anyway. Instead of going on my playlist it just starts playing. I even thought, after multiple attempts at this, that if I let the song play all the way through it would go on my list, but that was a failed idea as well.
    Does anyone out there know how to fix this? I realize I can probably start a new playlist---or maybe I cant!!! --I haven't even tried! But even if I can, I don't want too because this one has lots of songs in a particular order, and I just want to add my new purchases!
    I already greatly dislike the visual changes that came with iOS 7 - so I hope these other issuesare easily fixable....

    Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):

  • I am unable to get or send mail on my mac acounts and don't seem to be able to fix it

    I have a two year old i mac and a new macbook pro with mountain lion. I have been with mac for many years but as of a few months ago, i am no longer able to send or recieve mail on my mac account. I have icloud and from everything I can see I have all the right button clicked on. OBVIOUSLY I DON'T!
    Can anyone please help diagnose my problem? I just purchased an i-pad today, signed into the cloud and again, no mac mail. Help!!

    I am new to the mac, and I am trying to get compatible with Windows.  I need to be able to receive and send window items, that i and others can read and work on.  Can anyone help?

    I assume most of the documents you need to transfer and edit are MS Office derived.
    Well there are several options for you to consider
    Use the Apple productivity suite iWork although this will open .doc and .xls allow you to edit and export them again in the same formats some formatting and font issues are common place when transferred between native MS OFFICE programmes and Pages applications.
    You can try the fee open office suite or neo office ( a version of the same)
    These are more familiar in work flow to MS Office and allow saving to .doc .xls and .rtf  plus .docx and xlsx.
    Or you can buy and install MS OFFICE for MAC2011 which includes  a version of Outlook in the full (expensive) package that can be set up with an Exchange server for e-mail and contacts and calendars, and also POWER POINT.
    Oh and you can also use the built in Mac text editor to view edit and save as .doc as well.(Its not feature rich ) but it works for simple documents.
    If you are using the Mac Mail application to send/receive e-mail with attachments from/to Windows , make sure you have set it to send windows friendly attachment.
    To do this open Mail, click on Edit in the Menu bar (Strip at top of screen), scroll down to Attachments and click on the small triangle to the right. In the pop out window click on the Always send windows friendly attachments (A tick should be added to confirm done)
    If sending documents to anyone that are to be read only best to print as a .PDF to fix font issues and formatting (these can also be secured with a password).
    If you need more complex print editing or image manipulation tools they are also available (at a price) from the likes of Adobe,and design tools such as CAD Vector works/Turbo CAD are also available.
    You can also setup complex and secure Windows compatible Networks.
    Finally if you absolutely have to view/access some windows specific software for instance a MS Access data base well you could install something like Parallels/Fusion/Virtualbox with a copy of Windows right on your Mac.
    Or even use Bootcamp with a copy of Windows (full) on a separate partition.
    These days your Mac is very windows compatible.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction.  I use my itunes account to sync my Ipod nano on my laptop.  My daughter has just got an Ipod Touch 4th generation.  She wishes to sync her music to my itunes library.  When I connected her Ipod to my itunes it is not offering an option to sync to itunes account.  I understand that it should be possible but don't know how to go about it.  Appreciate any help.

    Your post is a bit confusing to me and you really don't explain what is happening other than you cant play music on the iPad. That covers so many things that its hard to know where to start.
    This is how you sync music to the iPad.
    Connect the iPad to the PC and launch iTunes.
    Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
    Click on the Music Tab on the right.
    Click on all of the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
    Click on the Sync Music Heading.
    Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
    Are you signed inot the correct Apple ID on the iPad - the one that matches the ID that you are using on the computer in iTunes?
    Does the music appear on the iPad?
    What are you double tapping and why?

    Firefox 29.0 and later use the new Sync version that use a Firefox account and only use the name and password and no longer use a separate Sync (recovery) key (the sync key is automatically derived from the password).<br />
    This version is completely different from the version previously and you need to install Firefox 29.0 or later versions on all connected devices.<br />
    You can enter the name and password of the Mozilla account on other devices that have a Firefox 29.0 or later version to add extra devices.
    The new Sync version used in Firefox 29 and later will still use a recovery key to encrypt data locally before uploading, but this recovery key is generated internally from the password of the Firefox account, so you no longer need to worry about it.

  • I use three different email accounts, but don't seem to be able to choose which account to send emails from, unlike on my iPad. Any ideas?

    I have tried going to mail>preferences>composing, and the drop-down box only gives me the option of sending 'from the selected mailbox', which is precisely what I'm not able to do.

    I'm sitting in front of windows at the moment so give me some leash....
    But its easy. I believe, just beklow the subject line, is a pull down menu for the source account.
    Ingeneral it defaults to the last account used, or the account used for a thread if you are replying.

    I have enabled Homesharing and switched to Manual mode from Automatic. When I try to transfer from the Ipod I get a warning that I will loose the files on the Ipod if I sync the Ipod with my second computer.
