Don't want ipod anymore

What do I do with my ipod when I don't want it anymore?

Hello Anna,
There are a few different options here.
1.  Sell it on Craigslist or eBay for a little extra cash.
2.  Give it away to somebody who you know would make good use of it such as a family member of close friend.
3.  Recycle it either through Apple or some other organization who recycles small handheld electronics.  Most of them (including Apple) will do it for free.  Here's is Apple's form to help you get started.

Go to the site and look for an unsubscribe link. Or, contact the site and ask them to stop.

  • I don't want Mavericks anymore.

I don't want Mavericks anymore.  How do I get rid of it and go back to 10.6.8?  I have applications that won't run on Mavericks now, and I don't have a Snow Leopard installation disc.  I wasn't thinking and I did not back up my files with time machine before "upgrading," and I got my macbook from my school, thus I have no documentation or original discs or anything like that for it.

If I have an old iPhone 4 that is not factory unlocked how could I unlocked? Don't want any anymore to jailbreak it

I have looked around here. And I've actually in person helped a number of people clear a jailbreak from an iPhone and they work fine. The OPs biggest hurdle is likely to be the process of obtaining an unlock from the cell provider.
The mistake many people make is waiting to Restore until the unlock is approved. They should Restore prior to even getting the unlock approval then do it again after they receive it.
As most people know who have been here awhile we see the ones who have problems, not the ones who have successfully done the process.

  • If turned on verizon messages to sync you messages and you don't want it anymore, where can I go to turn it off or delete it?

If turned on verizon messages to sync you messages and you don't want it anymore, where can I go to turn it off or delete it?

Where did you "turn it on"?  Computer?  Tablet?  Phone app?
On the phone app, open messages, go to the three bars top LEFT corner, scroll down to Settings, then Manage devices to un-sync with tablet(s) or computer(s).  If you don't want to use the app, then disable or uninstall it and go back to the stock app or another of your choosing.

  • HT204053 I don't want iCloud anymore.

I got an email saying they were charging me 10.99 and upgrading to 20 g of iCloud storage.  I don't even use it and don't want it.  How do I cancel it?  I don't use Apple devices and don't need to pay to upgrade.  If anything, I need the minimum FREE storage.  Help! How to make sure they don't upgrade and charge me.

    Hi catmartinez3,
You can downgrade your iCloud storage by following the instructions in this article:
    iCloud: Storage upgrades and downgrades
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4874
    Downgrade your iCloud plan
You can choose a lower-tier storage plan to replace your higher-tier plan (for example, a 10 GB plan to replace a 20 GB plan). The downgrade will take effect on the anniversary of when your storage upgrade was purchased.
    iOS 5 or later
Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
    Tap Change Storage Plan.
Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
    Tap Done.
    OS X
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
Click Manage in the lower-right corner.
Click Change Storage Plan in the upper-right corner.
    Click Downgrade Options.
Enter your Apple ID password, then click Manage.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
    Click Done.
    Windows
    Open the iCloud Control Panel:
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen and click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7 and Vista, choose Start > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
    Click Manage.
    Click Change Storage Plan.
    Click Downgrade Options.
Enter your Apple ID password, then click Manage.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
    Click Done.

  • How do I get rid of Safari cuz I don't want it anymore?

I have Mozilla Firefox 3.0.5 as well as Safari 3.2 and I have recently decided that I do not want to use Safari anymore. How can I completely delete Safari(as in no Safari Software Updates *at all, ever* )?

    Hi,
Simply stop using Safari and set your default browser to be Firefox.
I strongly advise you to NOT delete it as subsequent updates (e.g. 10.5.7 assuming Apple release that) will still try and update Safari regardless of whether you removed it or not.
There's no problem with having more than one browser present on your system (I think I have about 6 )

  • HT4623 I have upgraded my I phone 4 to io6 but because its have lots of issues how do I delete this io6 . Don't want it anymore . Was better of with my old version

You can't. Apple does not approve of downgrading iOS.

  • Don't want to sync podcasts to my iPod anymore- now they won't transfer!

    Hey folks,
I manually managed all my iTunes podcasts for the longest time without any problem, and last week, decided to try out auto-sync because I would routinely leave the house and forget to transfer the newest editions of my favorite podcasts to my iPod.
After realizing I liked the old way better, I decided to go under the "Podcast" tab of my iPod and uncheck "sync podcasts", assuming that this would let me go back to manually managing them. However, when I try to manually drag and drop my podcasts into my iPod, they don't show up.
All podcasts worked fine before and are all in the right format, being subscribed to in the official iTunes store.
    Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch.
EDIT: Sorry everyone, just realized this is the iTunes for windows section. Didn't mean to post here. Ooops.

You can choose to "automatically update selected playlists only" in which case you can create a playlist specifically for the Nano and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other iPod. Or you can choose to "manually manage songs and playlists"
    For info:
The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
    1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
    2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
    3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.

  • ITunes Match just added old purchased songs, I don't want those songs anymore. I just want my music to be iTunes quality.

I purchased iTunes Match, and all I noticed that it did was pull songs I purchased from iTunes many years ago. Songs that I don't want anymore. I just want songs that weren't purchased from iTunes to get uploaded and converted to better quality. Did iTunes do this for me, and I just didn't see it? Or did I purchase something, and didn't get the expected results? How can I get iTunes to upload and convert my lower quality music?
    iTunes 10.5.3.3 on a PC.

    That's odd for sure.
Anyway, first set the iPod to manage the songs manually.
Then, select the iPod in the source list of iTunes, and click on the "music" option underneath it to show all your songs. Highlight the song(s) you no longer want on the iPod, right click and select "clear". The songs should be deleted from the iPod.
Now you can change the iPod back to your auto sync preference.
